Last week, before the game against the Bucs, they showed a promo with Lions fans, and one of them decided to get a Super Bowl champions tattoo already. That was their kiss of death.

Being aggressive always looks good when you convert.  Looks dumb when you fail.

 

  But, they were TOO aggressive on those drives.   Those 6 points loom VERY large now.  They'd be in position to go down the field and win on the last drive... at the end.   But, now?   Now they are pretty much finished.    The FG on the last drive was the ONLY option... why?   because the 8 minutes was too long to try to use to win on that as a final drive.    So, you get the tie, and play for a stop and win on the next drive.   Even if they got a TD on that drive, they were going to give the ball back to the 49ers with a chance to beat them on the final drive.   The analytics failed them.  

 

Lions gave this one away.  How do you lose a game where you were up 24-7 at the half?   Embarrassing.
