Spoiler alert:

Chiefs win the SB. The better storyline wins. That’s today’s NFL.

Better teams are in the SB. Once again.

You hate 9ers fans.... Purdy is probably an innocent bystander. A Mr Irrelevant going to the Superbowl is actually pretty cool. Sucks that it's the 9ers

I have a bunch if friends on SF as i lived there for 5 years but yeah they are intolerable babies with 5 super bowls who whine and cry like theyre the browns

Eff the niners go Andy Reid

Feel for the Lions fans. Just another kick in the teeth

I didn’t think they would win this game prior to it, but they truly imploded against a team not known for coming from behind. Damn shame.

Detroit ain’t coming back from this especially if Ben Johnson leaves. This was their shot

Discretion is the better part of valor, Brandon Staley, I mean Dan Campbell.  Real amateur hour stuff.

It's not his fault, but Purdy gets more undeserved D slobbing than anyone I've ever seen. He does nothing special, nothing. He's a dude who has 3 Fing all pro weapons that do all the work and an all world defense. Put him on literally any other team and no one would ever talk about him. Put 99% of halfway decent QBs in SF and they perform the same way or better.

If he wasn't Mr irrelevant, not a soul would call for him to be the MVP. No one would mention him at all except as a good game managing QB on a stacked team, which is all he is.

There were so many stupid things that happened in today’s games, and Ben Johnson calling that run play is the dumbest by far. Just an all-time gaffe.

Yep. Detroit won't sniff an NFCCG anytime soon. Dan Gamble killed them

The first 4th down should have been converted.  Reynolds just dropped it.  But yeah he could have taken 2 FGs instead of going for it on 4th

Reynolds had that drop then another big drop later.  That missed INT where Aiyuk caught it instead was a back breaker.

Just too many stupid mistakes in the 2nd half from the Lions.

I meant weren’t.

1:37 left 3 timeouts… take the FG and go play defense…

or waste 40 seconds and a timeout to force a TD, needing onside kick to have a chance.

These last two weeks were kind of funny..

The niners beat two NFCN teams to get to SB in 2019 and again in 2023

Hopefully they get blown out in SB. No way mahomes, reid, and spags choke like the lions did.

What a terrible super bowl. 2 biggest cry sack teams in the NFL. Totally unbearable.

His kicker isn’t all that good. I think he was right to go for it. The problems were Gibbs’ fumble, drops, a flukey 50-yard interception turned catch, and Ben Johnson’s brain turning to mush.

At least they know how to play football

I don't know why I thought the ravens would win..but I guess its good they didn't bc lamar probably loses to the niners the second time around.

This is why I think he should get promoted to HC instead. I think that's their best shot at getting back to the SB.

The best storyline would have been the likeable losers who had never won a super bowl, winning a super bowl against a team everyone hates. Literally the entire country outside of SF was rooting for the lions today

Good news is both teams can't win.  Somebody has to lose.

Lions are going to fall off a cliff next year.

Whatever their Vegas win total is, bet the under.

This situation in Detroit is exactly what some are afraid will happen if Moore (or any OC) does well but falls short.

And we should do what the lions should do. Fire their idiot coach and promote the brains behind the success

F Dan Campbell for forcing me to root for Kermit the Frog.

I was looking forward to a Ravens/Lions or even a Ravens/SF SB. The Ravens would crush SF so I’d be good with that scenario. The Lions were gonna be a stretch, but they had it and blew it.  Seeing the Chiefs again makes it unwatchable unless the Lions were in it. Totally unwatchable now as I despise both teams.

I didn't watch the game but I saw that the Lions (seemingly, since I didn't watch) idiotically went for it on 4th down twice and turned it over on downs. Kick those two FG's and it's likely a different outcome.

In a case like this, I think I'd rather flame out in the WC round than lose the way the Lions did tonight.
