I'm still cynical about Kelce.  The more I think about his spectacle in KC the more I'm convinced he just did it for publicity.  I hope I'm wrong.

Who cares? He dressed like a mummer at the SB parade for publicity and attention. He started a podcast for publicity and attention. He was nominated for People's Sexiest Man Alive. He had a documentary film made about him which followed him all last season. He appeared on Saturday Night Live when his brother hosted. He was a guest on Thursday Night Football during his bye week. In the offseason he recorded two Christmas albums with proceeds going to charity. He started a clothing line called Underdogs.

But where you draw the line is in the offseason letting loose and drinking some beers celebrating his brother? Mkay.

He's an absolute beast on the field and one of the greatest Eagles of all time. He's a "personality" off the field and most people love him. What a weird thing to complain about.

What makes it worse for the lions they had the 6th pick and 18th to start. They were better off staying at 6th and going Jalen Carter to pair with Hutchinson. And at 18 taking the best player available. Or try their best to move heaven and earth to get cj stroud. If the niners lose this Super Bowl i think they’ll have a regression like most Super Bowl losers do. If love makes another step in his development the packers are  going to be better and they took it to the lions later in the season with a team that wasn’t very healthy.

Even if they still did trade down they could've came out with Gonzalez, Kancey and LaPorta potentially which would've been an insane haul. And then re-signed Swift.

Didn’t even need to re-sign swift just play him with Montgomery as a 1-2. Let him walk at the end of the year.

Your scenario was before the 3rd down run, correct? (I’m too damn tired to look at the play by play). That deep in their territory you try to get the TD.  The play calling and clock management failed them.

Before their 1st and goal even.

Going for it on 4th aside, calling a run on 3rd down is one of the dumbest decisions ever. It really is unbelievable how many coaches' brains turn to mush in big moments of big games. Over the years you see so many coaches do totally nonsensical stuff. That was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I'm guessing that was Campbell's decision. Thankfully that didn't happen to Doug in 2017.

We ran on 3rd down a lot in our super bowl year.  And converted Neenah our run game was dominant.  Ran even on like 3rd and 6 at times not just short yardage.

Completely removing the clown show that our team was, the NFL this year was probably one of the worst that we've had in a long time... capped off with a SB almost no one cares about.

Couldn't agree with you more. There is no good outcome from whoever wins the SB. If it is the Chiefs then Mahomes moves another step closer to Brady and will continue to forever be the NFL golden boy plus all we will hear about is how Taylor Swift helped them win the SB. If it is the Niners then a dirty, unpopular team with a system QB will have won the SB. There is no good to come from it.

Calm down, no one is complaining, I'm just saying it was over the top and likely for publicity, thus leading me to believe he is focusing more on his other ventures than football.

I love Kelce for what he's done on the field for us and he's been a great leader for this team and has really connected with Philly. What I will say though is I am not a huge fan of how he has conducted himself this off season. Sorry but if he was pretty much any other player he'd be taking a lot of flack for wearing Kansas gear. I get that his brother plays for them and of course he should celebrate his brothers successes but does he need to wear their gear? I know if I was in the same position with my brother I'd support him and cheer for him but I wouldn't wear his teams gear (especially not a team who has become a bit of a rival to us). I don't dislike him for it or anything but I don't think it was a great look especially the week after we are dumped out of the playoffs with a team that just didn't seem to try or care (not saying Kelce was one of those because he clearly wasn't).

San Fran really put the screws to the Eagles this year after last year’s NFC title game. They said they’re a different team with Purdy and get to the Super Bowl this year. Deebo called out Bradberry and was 100% right about him being trash. They even pantsed him pre-game when no one came to his defense and Bradberry was a pumpkin the rest of the season. They wrecked them in the rematch this year and took their souls where they were never the same after that finishing 1-6.

Lots to work on for next season.

Discretion is the better part of valor, Brandon Staley, I mean Dan Campbell.  Real amateur hour stuff.

I get the aggressive side... but he himself said it was a race to 30.  And they were sitting at 24 points for a long time.   Get some points... those 6 points he gave away were big... especially the last FG he eschewed.    When you are being shut out in the second half, while another team is climbing back... take the points.   Just getting something on the board at times can be a boost when things start to spiral out of control.  Gives you a little more cushion and a chance to regroup with a kickoff.   I get the analytics side, but the analytics side seems to completely ignore the psychological side to the game.  Sometimes you just need something to stem the tide.

Could be that he takes a position in the front office like Celek did

Ideal situation, Kelce joins the Eagles coaching staff under Stoutland and becomes his understudy. Stoutland can't coach forever. Kelce becomes next Eagles OL coach.

He probably wants to be Stoutland’s replacement when he’s ready to retire

I think he’s specifically talking about the third and goal from the 1 that was stuffed and cost them a time out. That was an all-time stupid decision.

This X1000. Analytics should be a tool, not THE guide.

Agreed. As much as I dislike Mahomes and the Swift circus, I still hate the 40Whiners far far more.

Honestly Lamar came up short in the game. Him throwing that interception (pass interference or not) reminded me of D mac... in the NFC championship games. always throwing a later int because he was pressing -  He should not have thrown that ball.

This may be the first SB in 40 years that I have Zero interest to watch. It used to be when it wasn't a good matchup, I'd watch for the commercials at least, but they have been lack luster for almost 20 years now. Probably will be rearrangeing my sock drawer at the time.

We'll be doing this with hurts next year if he doesn't get his ish together with the turnovers.

I don't mind wearing a KC hat to support his brother.

But does he need to act like a KC super fan in the box?  To me that was a little much and probably for the podcast, knowing cameras would be on Taylor Swift every 5 seconds.

I never really got into this NFL season - too many prime time Eagles games, poor games league wide, let alone the Taylor Swift Freak Show.  I usually watch all the playoff games but this year, I've seen about 2 hours of non-Eagles games as I am just not interested.

That said, if a meteor or world war won't happen, the Chiefs can win, they get their viral social media moments etc etc.

As for me, the season is done until the combine

And that is my issue here. Sure OK the hat thing is mild but does he need to go that crazy? Look it is his brother so yes I get it and he should be excited but I just thought it was poor timing and didn't look great. But that is my opinion and I am sure most were not bothered by it.
