I wonder if this is more that Johnson didn’t exactly wow teams in the interview process with his vision or potential coaching staff. Pretty rare for someone to turn down teams two years in a row.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

The Eagles are the only team that loses their coordinator after a big year.

(Not really, but kinda really)

Or teams were like WHAT THE F are you running for it on 3rd down when you need all your timeouts.

Wow

Joshua Harris nailing it

Rumored he wanted to be the highest paid coach in the NFL weeks ago

Commanders got cooked

Lots of odd hires so far

It feels like Seahawks and Commanders will each get one of Macdonald/Quinn.

So the Seahawks likely go with Quinn, but maybe MacDonald (I guess Vrabel still in play).

Does Washington turn to Belichick? Or is it Slowik's job?

Saw an interesting story that he flew to H.S. everyday for class until they finally moved.

Well, one guy told his teammates he was retiring, and the other cleaned everything out of his locker to the point cockroaches couldn't find anything, so .....

Someone I know who claims to be close to Fletcher's family says he is 100% done and wants to just go fish and hunt. Can't vouch for it, but he's been saying it since the beginning of the season that Cox would be done after 2023.

1000% this.  No one turns down a head coaching opportunity if they think an offer is coming.

I can believe it. Frankly many thought he was close to done a couple years ago and managed to play another 2 years. Frankly he’s had a great career and get out before you have more damage to your body.

Payton is the highest paid at $18M

Might have been the case last year when the jury was still out, but this year the on-field results were really tough to deny. Could just be that Campbell convinced him to stay to make one last go at it.

I think when we release byard we are close to $40. Lions also have to extend st. Brown and Goff who have only 1 year left on their deals

The Texans could really build themselves a legit contender if they add pieces to that defense and upgrade on the oline

Unless they make him June 1st, you can subtract an additional 8.6 million from that 40

Frankly might be better job opportunities than the commanders next year. Potentially openings could be eagles, cowboys, buffalo, Jacksonville (if you still believe in Lawrence), saints, giants and bears. I think eagles, buffalo and cowboys are definitively better than taking over the commanders.

Is over the cap wrong on their projection?
