  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I saw a quote from New Heights that Kelce said Sirriani was really good about holding players accountable too and that’s not the first time I heard that. Encourages me because to my eyes the biggest issues by far were game planning and play calling on both sides of the ball so in theory if coordinators address those issues then the other facets like going for it and accountability etc are solid. We’ll see.

Practicing during the week would help as well

I would be very happy with this draft.

Would just need a fill in at Safety via FA and ideally another LB. We would be in good shape.

They'll likely address all of these positions in FA first. That's what Howie typically does before heading into the draft.

YouTube TV reduces broadcast delay indefinitely, just in time for Superbowl LVIII

Phew. And I was I just about to get faster internet

For those with YouTubeTV and didn't read the article I posted (shame on you), it's a setting you have to manually change.

Ironically, outside of football we really don't watch live TV, so the Super Bowl will be the first time we test it out

As of today, if that's what the Eagles get with their 4 first picks, I would be ecstatic. Mitchell deserves the love he's getting and is a stud.

I like it but Howie going 4 picks without addressing the lines isn’t happening

I’ve been hands off Mitchell due to his level of competition, but he’s doing well against better talent and in drills that are weighted against the DB. Will he move into the top-4, if he runs in the 4.3s (likely)… strong maybe.

Even before the senior bowl I didnt think he would be available anywhere near our pick.

Calen King has fallen a lot. He wasnt as good this year as last year, and he doesnt have ideal size.

Terrion Arnold is probably CB 1.

Then its probably between Wiggins, McKinstry, DeJean, and Mitchell.

Wiggins is exceptionally skinny. McKinstry will be the slowest of that bunch. DeJean has the injury.

Mitchell is going to absolutely blow the roof off the combine. Combined with a strong senior bowl showing. And some mocks had him way higher prior to this. He is the likely CB 2 selected in this draft.

Like I just got done posting, hes going to be CB2 in this draft. Senior bowl is more confirmation of that rather than actual rising of his stock.

He wont just be 4.3s, Its gonne be a really low 4.3

I still think long term TJ Tampa is the CB I prefer overall

The only reason I can think of for why Moorehead staying is he played for the Colts for a few years.  Sirianni has some Coltish loyalty going on internally.

Hes supposedly going to test with Joey Porter pterodactyl wing span.

Timing probably. Wilson has been interviewing for a few weeks now while it wasn’t clear what would happen with MacDonald. Also he was there only one year, they might have someone else ahead of him in the internal promotion pipeline. It’s probably a bit of both.

If they go with an external candidate though, makes you wonder what transpired there for them to pass him up.

Interesting, big discussion on Tampa here

I read from a Baltimore beat writer that Orr is the name emerging as the front runner.

He’s from Norristown, Pa. I know that because I just googled him because he sounded like a Madden-generated player.

I also wasn’t super impressed with Chick Fil A’s. It was just a better version of a typical chicken sandwich. But the chicken sandwich wars were about going beyond that

I thought the best one was at the worst fast food restaurant. Burger King had one called the Chickking, that was amazing. But I think they discontinued it

I recently went through a Chick-Fil-A renaissance.  Back in 2005 I was doing a job down in Atlanta and there was one within walking distance.  Hotlanta walking distance.  So I ate there a LOT.  This was my first experience with it and I think because it was out of necessity I was always *meh* on it.

Never had it again until....

Then in 2019 schmoopie and I were doing the drive from chester county to Orlando as part of our 5 year anniversary Eagles-Dolphins road trip.  I got us and the dogs up at 3 am and hit the road.  At some point in Virginia schmoopie wanted breakfast and saw a sign for Chick-Fil-A and wanted to stop there.  Ok, anything for you.  But I'm not a big breakfast person since I don't eat eggs nor like like greasy food (yeah, its a me problem, shut up).  "Don't worry, I got you" and ordered me a Spicy Chicken Biscuit.  The kid at the drive through gave us our breakfast (and our dogs treats) and we were on our way.  It was excellent.

Ever since then I am a fan.  And I don't eat fast food, I avoid it like the plague.

yep. No chicken sandwich is as good as chick fil a and its really not cool to pretend chick fil a isnt good either. So those of you that act like youre not impressed- stop.

Pretty sure Howard is right about this one.  There’s a history of dislike between the Eagles brass and Belichick that dates back to the Reid era.

I mean they cheated us out of a super bowl, so yeah that kinda makes sense
