That's a loss. Wanting to stay in Seattle over coming here also doesn't say much about our gold standard organization

He might also look at the secondary here and think No Thanks.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

I was hoping Javon Baker would fall to RD4, but that doesn't seem possible now. WR is low-key a big need.

I'm amused by all the talk of the Eagles taking DBs in the 1st round.  We do it every year pre-draft and then....

We draft Lito?

Is the prevailing thought that the Eagles re-sign Driscoll and Opeta to one-year deals as depth OL?  I don't know that either would get any different offer around the league, and the Eagles don't really have any depth otherwise.

Seattle let all of their assistants free to explore options if they wanted to leave.

Definitely seems like he was waiting around until the head coach hire happened and hoping to stay,

We only have 2 playable WR’s and whatever Covey is, on the roster. It’s a massive need.

I think the PTSD would be too much to bare if the Eagles added a WR named Thrash

I've been thinking the same thing.

No. We gaslight ourselves into thinking Andre Dillard was a massive coup.

he apparently has drop issues. So im not sure what round you take a chance on him. 5th? I hope we have WR sorted out prior to that.

That sounds familiar...

Opeta has been out there to be signed or claimed and no one has ever shown interest besides Eagles. One year deal makes sense, I guess.

Driscoll is more of a wildcard. I could see teams liking him more with his versatility, even though he isn’t great anywhere specifically.

@HazletonEagle doesn't like Xavier Legette anymore, so he's become my odds-on favorite WR pick in this draft -- just out of spite:

My current all-time fav Seinfeld episode, btw

Injuries are gambles, sometimes you lose, sometimes you draft Sweat in the 4th round . . .

The bottom 3 guys proved their point. Made their money.

Today is a light day and the the game which players don't want to play in.

Same.

But it is such a deep WR draft maybe there's still a chance.

But he looks like a round 3 at the latest kind of guy.  Maybe 2nd round in most other years.

5 of the 8 head coaches hired  are defensive minded

When we drafted Lito Sheppard, 15 year veteran Brandon Graham was in middle school

Quinn and Rivera swap jobs, calling it now

To be honest, sometimes it’s nothing more than somebody not wanting to pick up and move their family away from where they are settled.  It doesn’t necessarily mean anything else.

And sometimes they would rather not go to an organization they don't feel is all that much better or not better at all. There was a ton of smoke of him coming here, to the point that it seemed like it was a done deal. Seattle makes a nice coaching hire and the next day the guy is officially staying. I think those tea leaves line up.

Probably

It might work out, but it feels like Quinn was the best possible outcome for us Eagles fans.

Hurts the Cowboys so I'll take it.
