The biggest win of the offseason would be getting Kelce to stay for a farewell tour and go out in style.  This was such a disservice  that I want Nick gone. I don’t think he will be gone but he should be gone.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I'm still not convinced it's all Siri's fault. This whole thing has a micromanagement feel to it with the FO dictating everything from not only personnel and who dresses on Sundays but scheme and philosophy as well. That Desai move had to come from up stairs and that's just a zero EQ move given the time of the season. It would be on Siri if this was some move by him to over commit to give the FO exactly what they wanted so that they would back the F off going forward but doubt that's the case. He will go the way of Doug. I think it's all an over correction from the Chip Kelly experience with the FO being overly control hungry.

Where does this come from?  Have players or coaches who left said that the FO dictates things to this detail?  We know that Lurie prefers a passing offense, but that is not unique in the league.  We know they like to build inside out via the draft and build outside in with trades and FA.  What makes you think the Desai move was dictated by the FO?  Since we have no true idea of the inner workings, it is just as likely that Sirianni wanted to do it, tells the FO, they recommend he doesn't mid season but tell him he is the HC and it is his decision.  It's possible the FO wanted Sirianni to hire Dennard Wilson as the DC but Sirianni chose Desai.  Lots of speculation.  Watching Monday night, that team did not want to play hard, did not want to hit or get hit, they wanted to pack up and leave.  That is on the coaches and players.

What did Adam say?

To sum it up. He basically said it’s on Jeffrey Lurie whether or not Sirianni his back. He thinks Sirianni is gonna be back. He knows there’s gonna be defensive changes. He’s not entirely sold on the fact that Brian Johnson would be gone if sirianni is back. It’s murky.

Would likely get a Brandon graham and Jason kelce farewell tour together

Sounding more like Nick will be back.  Add it with what Berman was saying last week that he thinks Patricia will be back and the nugget Sheil recently dropped that Howie put Patricia on Sirianni's radar and put Patricia in an office near Howie it would seem that Patricia will be back as well but with his scheme.

It's all speculation my man based on past circumstances. No one said it's definitive but the way things broke down and the fact that the players like AJ and Hurts have been going to bat for Siri smells like something is happening that's not fully in his control. If you think Siri had a huge say in the hiring decisions when we know Howie has that control I don't know what to tell you. Do you think it was Siri that said hey Patricia come on in. Way more likely that the FO is making these calls than yes man Siri.

That's interesting.  One would think that's a big demotion.   Wonder what that does to the Rights To Ricky Sanchez Podcast if Spike is going to be on air full time now.

Could be.  Or he might be waiting to see what happens during his exit interview today - see what they intend for next season, etc.

Would make sense either way, imo.

They would probably have to do something's nuts for him to come back.  Like Stoutland as the HC, and the only way that happens is if Lurie wants to run it back with more talented personnel on defense.

We know that Doug said that he was keeping Groh as OC and keeping Carson Walch as the WR coach.  But, that lasted a full day before they were gone and we got that horrific coaching heirarchy with no true OC, adding Rich Sangarello to the mix and the disaster that followed.  And we know that it was Doug standing up the next year and demanding that he got to pick his assistants that ultimately got him fired.

Are you suggesting that it is beyond the realm of possible for Lowie to dictate coaching staff moves on a HC?

We don't know that it was Lowie or not... but we also don't know that it wasn't.   Nick said that it was his call.  But, we all know what a coach says in a PC may not be the case.   The day before, Nick said there would be no coaching changes.  (Kind of like what Doug said about his assistants, before there were changes.)

Who really knows?   And therein lies a bit of the problem.

But but Philly fans

Philly fans seem to have no idea about the difference between booing and attacking  your team and the other team.

Philly fans attack/boo their own team.  Rational people say "WTF is up with those horrid Philly fans?"   Philly fans respond with evidence of fans attacking the other team,  as if there was no difference between attacking their own team and the other team.

No way Stoutland wants that job though.

how do we know this?  I know that many have said that, but I haven't actually read any quotes about that.

I just googled it and found this tweet

I can’t sit through another season with Matt Patricia doing anything here or Brian Johnson.

Doug Pederson was returning for the 2021 season, until that meeting with Jeff went badly.

Today's meeting decides Nick's fate.

Lurie needs to hurry up and make a decision

What could Sirianni say to convince him that he's not an idiot? The coaching speaks for itself. You don't just gain IQ points. He's a bad offensive mind.

Same with defense??? Are you joking. The coordinators were terrible but between high fiving guys as a tackles or being completely lost in coverage, I would say that’s on the players. We need 5-7 new guys on defense. That is not the case on offense.

There's a lot of sentiment in here the past couple of days to give the players a free ride on this collapse.  I put just as much blame on the players, if not more.

Raheem Morris has got to be a Rooney rule interview, the guy was a disaster as HC in Tampa Bay and did little to improve his stock as an interim in Atlanta.
