  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Wonder how much things would be different if Doug took the Lurie and Roseman deal that Sirianni did. And then stuck around and got to cosch the roster Howie put together when he left.

Would have had a new Roseman hand picked OC.  If I remember correctly Schwartz already quit before heads started to roll so they would have had a Howie hand picked DC too.  Probably Jon Gannon still.

Wonder how the team would have done comparatively to Sirianni's tenure.

Maybe but it seems like the Lane mentor thing will just lead people into that pick

Kelce green lighted jurgens

fine with Lane green lighting his heir

I don't want an OT in RD1. CB is just a bigger need in both the short-term (don't have a reliable slot CB on the roster) and in the long-term (Ringo only should be in 2025 plans). But if Guyton has a top 15 grade, and we can pick him, I get it.

When I saw the Kingsbury news, for a brief second I thought the Eagles haven't officially announced Moore yet, I hope something didn't happen there and now they're pivoting to Kingsbury. Highly improbable though.

No it wasn't. One show did a hypothetical scenario "Would you trade AJ Brown for Patrick Surtain?"

It was social media that took a hypothetical trade question and turned it into "There are AJ Brown trade rumors!"

A fun hypothetical question is not a rumor.

It wasn't fun,  it was dumb and ridiculous. It made zero sense, someone trying to bring that idea shouldn't even be on public airwaves especially a sports radio afternoon drive where Eagles games are played.

If you want fun hypotheticals, talk about trading someone that even makes some sense, or about free agent hypotheticals and draft ideas whether trading up or down or whatever. Not that hot bs garbage.

You can not like the trade scenario, which is objectively small potatoes for a radio show. It was a little side topic they were doing and asked callers if they'd make the deal or not. It's not a big deal. But it still is not a "rumor" nor was it advertised as such. Kay Adams is the one who said "twitter is buzzing with trade rumors" that was misleading on her part when there were no rumors. She's way more responsible for the fake news stuff than WIP.

Talk about a staff getting picked apart.

Just get the surgery, big guy

If Guyton is rated like you say, top 15ish AND is evaluated as a versatile player who could slide inside to RG immediately AND provide high level play, then I'd be ok. If not, basically zero percent interested in another guy that sits the bench for years wasting away his cheaper rookie contract years while competing teams are drafting guys that make their team better immediately AND in the future. There's way too many needs on this defense to have the luxury of drafting a pure RT only right now.

Really nice hire there. Curious to see how their defense does with Weaver.

Contractual hangup = Commanders called Kingsbury, he preferred the DC job, so he found a reason to nitpick the contract to get out of the job.

Apparently Davis only offered him 2 years when 3 years is fairly standard for a coordinator job

You are good at this.  So when she says "nothing's wrong" everything is cool, right?  🙃

Would like Pep Hamilton for a QB coach if Mussmeier isn't the guy

Boo I wanted Chip Kelly back in DC

Its logical for long term need and consistent with their strategy of investing in the lines. Guyton would be a fine pick at 22

Agree.  It won't be my favorite choice but I think a very sensible one,  and pretty likely.

I do think they'll hit the more immediate defensive needs in free agency this year. You can't really count on filling a positional starter at 22. You hope one of your picks emerges as a starter but you can't pencil in any particular position

He has no choice with a bucket handle tear. It's a question of full meniscus removal,  or trying to repair.

Quick return bad long term outcome, or long time out with better knee long term.

Bucs officially announce Liam Coen as OC. Eagles still yet to officially announce any hires but Fangio.
