Is there a world where he has a surgery/procedure and is back in playoffs? Or is he pretty much done until fall or beyond?

If he gets the meniscus taken out completely he can be back.

If he repairs it,  no chance

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Maybe I'm being harsh but this senior bowl is like a bad preseason game.

Not harsh at all. It's the truth right now unfortunately.

You’re not going to get enough back in trade compensation to equal the value of OL depth if your scenario on the OL comes to fruition

The only thing that would make me consider it is if they could bring back a defensive starter and they were assured of getting a top Center in the draft. At some point though, Jurgens has got to be the starting Center for this team. He's not a RG. I hope Steen takes a big step between his 1st and 2nd year and can lock down RG next year.

I was hoping for another "offensive mind" at QB coach they could groom as a future star offensive guy, but I guess Nussmeier was a foregone hire once Moore was nabbed.

Nussmeier has had OC stints in college and was at Alabama as OC when Stout was there (for 1 year)

Thankfully removes him as a trade candidate.

If Kingsbury goes to Washington then they will try to move up and get Caleb Williams to pair with him.  Williams is from DC I think.

He should get it repaired. Think about his long term health. They will be better next year anyway with another max or close to max player from free agency.

Yeah but who?

It's one of his two choices per reports.

Carson Strong retired?? Pour one out…

Hard to believe they overlapped at OU.

Not much left in top-end FA talent except PG but he probably re-signs. The alternative FA route may be combining two great role players like Bruce Brown, Buddy Hield, Gary Trent.

More likely with the assets they have they’ll go down the trade route. Mikal Bridges would be an excellent fit. Others who may be available are Murray, Markkanen, Grant (hate that contract though but I guess you wouldn’t use up much of your trade assets other than cap).

Now that Nussmeier is hired, if there was ever concern about something happening with Moore since he still hasn't been announced, it puts that to bed. We'll see if they make any more offensive coaching changes.

Yep Devonta seemed to insinuate Moorhead was coming back. That leaves Michaels and Singleton who are fairly well thought of but we’ll see

Maybe I’m reading this wrong but I think he meant Kellen Moore

Just repair it at this point

I see PFF reports like this and can't help but think that if they were elite, why did it seem like they could never get a run game going, couldn't stop a blitz to save their life and Hurts was always running for his life? I can't think of a game where the OL looked elite as a unit and just took over a game.

I was referring to the last line about more offensive coaching changes

I’m not in the building so what do I know, but I’m not a fan of retaining basically the entire offensive staff besides Brian Johnson and Alex Tanney. Feels like a major half measure they love to do that will result in the coaching staff clashing all season.

It’s going to be Moore and his buddy vs the rest of staff who were buddies of Brian Johnson and miffed he took the fall vs whatever Sirianni wants to interject in the offense.

Some of ESP's best work here.

The offense was fine except for the QB and playcalling. IMO

Honestly,  with all the injuries they have now won't be long before they are out of the playoff picture.  Once they get all of the guys back, they may be a play in team.  Now is the time to trade Harris.  With Embiid out, no point in playing for this season.

I disagree. WR and TE’s coach can go. Neither positions have shown any kind of development.

Either way my point was more about the inner office workings. Bringing in a new guy, who doesn’t sound all that friendly, to be boss over the old staff who weren’t happy about losing their old boss could be a problem. Feels very 2020ish with trying to take too many different pieces and trying to make them all fit together.
