How is Surtain going to follow? I'm not following, he's not a free agent and Denver can use the 5th year option for 2025 too.
Simmons I could see, but he is 30. Do we want to go down that road again? We haven't had much luck with the older secondary guys lately. If we can get him on the cheap, I would be good with the move, he can be Fangios field general. He did have a pretty strong year.

Just having some harmless fun.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

We finally get a home opener and they steal it from us to go play in some part of the world where nobody gives a flying F about the eagles or football. fing stupid.

Excellent thread.  I would recommend opening the whole thing in X.  I am excited to see motion come to this offense.  Swift could excel like Pollard did, if they retain him.

Its something how Pollard who isnt even that elusive of a RB really looked excellent with Moore as an OC getting him in space.

Having RBs who are actually good in space will make it even better.

Retain Swift, and then think about adding another like Shipley, Laube, Tyrone Tracy, Holani, or Guerendo.

I like the game in Brazil.  Mix things up.  I can't wait for the photos of the players walking on the top less beaches followed by Brazilian paternity suits in May 2025.  I can see the headline now: "Eagles left a few pair of jenes in Brazil".

Hollywood Jeff just giving away home games so he can have his international spectacle.

At least opening on the Friday night gives the Eagles two days of rest before their week 2 game.

My guess is it will be the Packers in week 1 in Brazil.

Nothing shows love for the home fans like taking out the crowd for an opener and gifting the players with a 12 hour flight each way.   Goodell doesn’t give a flip about the existing "captive” market, it is all about growing the fan base worldwide.

Shouldn’t be 12 hours from Philly.  Probably closer to 10 - 10 1/2 hours and maybe faster since their charter will likely fly faster (not worried about fuel efficiency like the airlines are).

I'm going to laugh when I get my season ticket invoice and even with one less home game I'm paying more then last year

Meh we've dodged having to do an international game for what 8 years now?  Had to happen at some point. Shipping out a home opener is a dick move though.

EDIT

Sao Paulo is more inviting than Philly. I'm proud.

That’s great. Howie would have a field day with this Blog.  lol

Absolutely.  The decision to rebuild the back 7 by completely ignoring the LB position and the safety position really worked out well.   Big time dunk coming on that one.

Springer needs to take 500 corner 3’s a day this off season. He could be something if he can hit 3-4 a game at league average percentage.

Thinking of all the beat writers getting lost and pickpocketed in Brazil....

Maybe they will learn to fly, like that bird from the movie.

So Fletcher Cox coming back on a team friendly deal?

No way he misses out on all that Brazilian chach.

This is just a phase of the NFL expanding the game internationally. They pushed for an 18 game season, they got 17. Now half the teams have an extra home game. The NFL continues to grow internationally until the next CBA where they again push for 18 games. Players ask for an extra bye week. Now we have a 19 week regular season, and every teams "9th” home game will be played internationally with a bye week before or after.

Nobody outside of America gives a F about American football. They're never going to get the following they want, but i guess people go for the novelty

NFLPA and NBAPA always cater to the league and owners. It's quite pathetic.

Hurts saw this and started salivating.

Are we going to reach a point where we have too much technology? After seeing this Apple VR headset all day and now this, I just get this feeling that we have way too much technology to rely on anymore.
