That's even with an interception that Alshon tipped right to the defender

I think it’s just strictly the Super Bowl game

Or tell the qb to make better throws than enable his wrs to score

Or tell the WRs and RBs to stop getting dropped at the 1 and 2 lol.

I truly wonder how much longer Andy is going to coach. Cause he has mahomes in his prime. Health permitting he could coach 5-6 more years and likely have a shot at the  super bowl every year if mahomes stays healthy. I think he’s back next year regardless. But i wouldn’t be shocked if next year is his last year especially if it’s going for a 3-peat and he achieves it. I kind of think part of Ben Johnson’s decision came down to there’s a chance eagles, Dallas and chiefs jobs could open up next year which are better than commanders

Honestly, yes…the reliance on the tush push this year got way overboard.  The fact that only minor injuries (that we know of) occurred is a blessing.  Hurts 100% got a concussion this year on one too.

So we're not going to acknowledge how many times the RBs, TEs, and WRs didn't close the deal at the 1 and 2? He didn't just magically get to short yardage at the goal line.

Smoking pot before games is heartbreaking??  I wish someone had told me that when I was playing hockey; I should have been sobbing in the locker room, given how many guys on my team were toking up.

HEARTBREAKING: paco drank beer before, during and after rugby games

Foles threw an interception in the Super Bowl

The only test for pot once a year on 4/20 (not kidding). You don't get retested unless you fail on that one day.

The guys that get there at 6 am and say "lets get this over with" should also be retested

.1 % more bad throws this year compared to last year. 1.1% higher on target percentage.

He took 2 less sacks this year in 17 games than he took last year in 15 games.

He has 32 less RPO passing attempts and 52 less play action attempts (in 2 more regular season games)

He’s had the same amount of fumbles every year of his career.

He had 15 INTs, and 12th in QBR  If you look at the interceptions individually, I’d say 3 of them are awful passes by hurts… the rest are tips, Goedert falling and dropping, Quez’s no effort INT, and incredible sideline toe touches by DBs. I’d expect these to fall next season, especially the spectacular catches by the DBs.

Did he have as good of a year as last year… no. Does that mean he has one year to prove himself… also no. Does that mean he sucks… also no. Does the coaching staff and their inability to optimize their weapons, Offensive creativity, and consistency of running bad obvious plays over and over contribute to how we see him… yes.

Defensively we went from 12th best to 3rd worst on opponent 3rd Down conversion %. Keeps the ball out of the offenses hands, wears down defense. The defense was 30th in points, 26th in yards, and 27th in turnovers; dropping year over year from 8th, 2nd, and 3rd.

Lastly if you compare the strength of schedules of each season, you’ll notice a massive difference of contending teams and higher quality defenses.

The entire team looked off from the beginning of the season, and after their 10-1 start they were completely lost. Defensively, offensively there was no fire, no flow, no team scheme, no identity, no adjustments. I can’t just say Hurts is the problem, clearly it’s much more than just him.

Saying Hurts was possibly the biggest issue of the offense is insane. I’d say whoever was drawing up plays and calling then was much worse. Very few variety of rushes. Misuse of personnel. Inability to create schemes to counter the blitz. Constantly relying on WR screens as offense. Lack of consistency of motion, lack of use of Swift as a receiving threat, lack of AJ and Smitty attacking the middle of the field.

Mariota played a little and I think one of his first passes was an INT to a WR screen lol. I can’t blame hurts for that sour stale spoiled yeah we ran last year.

Wall of words and more stats trying to explain something that you’re off base on…he wasn’t good this year.  Given what happened coaching wise, to be expected…but he needs to be better.

Hurts was top 10, but not top 5, this year. So if your bar is Mahomes/Allen, then yes you'll be disappointed.

I’m not sure what games you watched…outside of a few games he was pretty average, being kind.

Foles SB performance might have been one of the best single game performances for a QB ever…he was simply magical, and a lot of those throws weren’t easy.  He was 100% on that night, if not for an Alston brain fart he’d have been absolutely perfect.

It wasn't a brain fart, it was clearly DPI. The defender had Alshon's arm pinned so he had to try and one arm it which obviously didn't work

Hurts was definitely not top 10 by any objective measure:

Passing yards -- 14th

Completion % -- 15th

TD passes -- 13th

INT -- 3rd highest

Rating -- 20th

QBR -- 13th

Time to Throw -- bottom 5

People need to recognize what Hurts actually was this past season -- very, very average.  The organization invested top-tier QB salary in Hurts for the next 5 years; he has to be top 8 in all facets or he's simply not worth the investment.  The bar is an elite QB for elite QB investment; he's got to be top quartile and he simply wasn't this past season.

He is 8th in the PFF QB grades.  He was top 3 in terms of total TDs as a QB.  His EPA per drive was also top 10. I don't think he was the primary problem.

It’s widely known they played to set up the play…so we’re really just not acknowledging that Siri, BJ & co forgot there was other skill position players on the team.

Don't see why he'd retire. He's adding onto his legacy and has one of the best QBs in a generation. He could try and surpass Belichick. Why give that up unless he has medical reasons

No, not magically... philosophically.   The offensive game plan was to get into Tush Push situations.   They basically admitted as much... and that explains the horrific play calling in the red zone for massive stretches of the year.   They weren't trying to get into the end zone... they were just trying to get to the 1 yard line.    And that's why the number of times they threw a TD pass from anywhere in the red zone, where the ball was delivered IN the end zone was basically nil.

Bo and Zach said yesterday that they did an interview with Brian Billick(hasn't aired yet I don't believe) and they said during the interview he told them in 2013 before the Eagles hired Chip, they came very close to hiring Brian Billick. Which is interesting because Gus Bradley felt like he was almost the guy, so maybe Billick was earlier in the process once Chip originally turned them down.

Agreed.  I think Reid can coach another 5-6 years, and if Belichick doesn't get hired next season there is a path for Andy to catch and surpass his career wins total -- you know he'd love that.  I mentioned before, if the Chiefs win this weekend that will make 3 Super Bowl wins for Reid, putting him into Gibbs and Walsh territory.  4 wins would match Chuck Noll.  There's a lot of motivation for him to keep going as long as the Chiefs' run lasts.
