I’m not sure what games you watched…outside of a few games he was pretty average, being kind.

Do you realize he was the MVP front runner after week 12? He was OK. Do we need him to be better? Of course.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

In a round about way…yes.  If someone goes down inside the 10…run a couple screens or inside zones till you get inside the 3-4 yard line and it’s tush push time. L Their RZ playbook was absolutely atrocious, there was zero creativity.

I don't give them that much credit. They literally thought they could score on those ass plays. They weren't intentionally trying to play to get to the 1 or 2. These are the same coaches who thought it was cool to go big play hunting in short yardage outside of shove range.

Difference was Defense stopped Brady at the end … Defense didn’t hold up their end of the Deal versus Mahommes for an entire half. 1 incompletion, 0 punts, 0 turnovers, 0 sacks, zero 3rd down stops for 30 minutes.

Haters gonna hate. Hurts put up an all-time performance in the Super Bowl.

As a matter of fact, PFF has him ranked second. Only behind Foles.

The truth is somewhere in the middle.  They used it as a tool but it became a distraction in the way the offense operated; frankly, I hope it is used only minimally next season and forward.  I've said it before, when the defense in the playoffs HAS to stop something, they will find a way to stop it -- and Tampa Bay did.

The goal is to get 1st downs and touch downs. They weren't intentionally trying to come up short they just sucked at play calling.

We need him to stop turning the damn ball over. Let's just start there.

He's not my first choice. But he does make the list.

I don’t recall people claiming he was drunk during the game, ( not saying no one did, but I don’t recall that ever being the prevailing story). I recall he supposedly got slammed the night before, and was hungover, or still dealing with other related effects.

That's what I recall, that he was hung over. There were several reports of his partying hearty the night before.

Dude the whole draft board is on your list. I think you broke a record in IWTETG 😆

That’s fair. He did have an increase in turnovers. I think 3-4 were tipped off hot blitzers. 2 were in Goedert. 1 on Quez. Probably 5 or so were incredible catches by safeties on the sideline. 3-4 were really bad decisions.

He had a lower fumble rate than last season.

As a team we actually fumbled 1 less time than last year but ended in 2 more fumbles lost. We had really poorly timed turnovers and a defense who couldn’t get the ball back consistently either forcing punts or creating turnovers themselves.

I think his margin for error was much smaller than last season with such an awful defense. Also I think they tried to turn him into Peyton Manning and just drop back and throw over and over when they should’ve committed to more running game, more timing throws off of play action, and using his mobility to move the pocket. Plus when we started getting heavily blitzed, we really didn’t have many looks to combat it. Once people caught on, they just put 8 in the box and dared us to throw the screen and verts and locked it down.

Yea the MVP race turned into a joke when it included Purdy and Hurts. At no point did hurts perform like an MVP this season.

11 regular season games where he threw 1 or 0 TD passes this season. 11!!!! That's an MVP quarterback? It was ridiculous he was ever considered, he was average all year.

No kidding.  You're taking a job as a head coach with a division rival, then you're taking one of our best assistants with you in Joe Whitt.  Now you wanna steal another of our assistants to take with you?  Find your own damn coaching staff.

More people visit TATE than ATNFL and if it's not right there, the Blog will end up being used, and I'd rather have a dedicated Super Bowl thread rather than a bunch of pages on the Super Bowl in the Blog. The speed of the Blog loading is one reason but having a dedicated thread will also be good for the search engines indexing it for random searches on Google or whatnot.

Makes sense. I was just mentioning how that subforum barely gets used now and everything just gets posted in here

29 TDs in 11 games, with a 10-1 team beats Miami, Dallas, @ KC, and Buffalo. Yeah no way that’s an MVP caliber player.

Gotta remember he played 2+ less games last year as well for what it's worth.

He is 8th in the PFF QB grades.  He was top 3 in terms of total TDs as a QB.  His EPA per drive was also top 10. I don't think he was the primary problem.

Nope. Hurts was trying to drive a dysfunctional offense, when you'tr at the top of WR screens, and at the bottom of WR screen effectiveness, the problem isn't the QB.

That was a predictable offense, and in the playoffs, with Brown out, the lack of talent outside of Smith was exposed.

This season isn't the season to use to question the talent of anyone on this roster.  With the bonehead coaching we had, we were way past lucky to be 10-1.

It's more interesting than re-litigating Hurts season over and over.

Seriously disagreeing about 1 1/2 hours?   I think we would all agree a flight over 8 hours is grueling.  I have flown overseas coach and business class (more of the latter by far). Even those nice lay down business class bunks don’t accommodate a 6+’ 200 pound frame so 75% plus of the team won’t be comfortable.  Add to that the pain coming out of TC/PS plus any pain from the game.  Anyway you cut it, the trip kind of sucks for the players and could have a residual impact on week 2.

I wonder if airlines take some seats out of standard configuration airliners and spread out what's left for charters. I don't know but it wouldn't be all that hard to remove 5 or 6 rows I wouldn't think.

Agree 100% minus Bradbury and Quez

Video gif. Tiktoker Brittany Broski cringing in disgust after taking a sip of Kombucha, contorting her face into a big frown. She quickly changes her tune as she thinks for a moment, then she goes back to being disappointed saying, “no, no,” and then thinks again about the taste. She tilts her head and chuckles, saying, “well…”

Cooper looks so good but DJ has him as the 20th best player in the draft. There's no hiding that guy, he's not making it to pick 50 I fear and there's no way we are using the first rounder on an off the ball LB.
