The Eagles were broken the whole season, their offense was unsustainable. It was basically them looking clunky out of sync and predictable until Hurts and the WRs started playing backyard football and their talent allowed them to overcome it, but eventually it caught up with them. Any solid defense was going to provide resistance. The difference in the 2nd half of the season was their defense became the worst in the NFL so they couldn't climb out of those deficits any longer.

Even our 4-12 season I had more optimism week to week than I had for the last 7 weeks of this season. You could just tell they were done.

To me the comeback player actually makes most sense to give it someone who has a career resurgence (rather than a top player who comes back from an injury to still be a top player). To each, their own
