Secondly, they need to decide the nature of the award.  Is it for coming back and playing irrelevant football again?  Or for going from irrelevant to relevant and solid football again?

Hamlin was the former, Flacco the later.

He went into cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated two separate times while he was still on the field.

I feel for the terror you'd feel if you started searching around the rest of the developed world for places that agree with your perspective on the things you've said.

That's okay though, everyone's entitled to their opinion, and people should be more willing to move to places that align with their beliefs. It'd make the world a lot better honestly.
