I haven't really checked out the list of pending FA DE that could be available. I know he's one. Unless they go DE in the 1st rd... not a deep DE draft this year

If they deal Reddick i think they spend resources in FA at pass rush. They covet it too much to not have a better more reliable replacement than Nolan smith who hasn’t proven he can even stay healthy in a major role for 17+ games. FA has some guys. Various ages but includes josh Allen, Brian burns, Hunter, matos, zadarius smith, Leonard Floyd. There’s others

I'm cool with trading Reddick. He's not worth 20 plus mil at his age. Wonder if the switch Milton Williams to DE. Maybe sign a guy like Chase Young in FA. He'll be on the cheaper side since he hasn't been able to stay healthy. Howie special right there

Im not cool. Return will be scraps for our best rusher? Cant do that if we are serious about contending

Yeah if the eagles think they are SB contenders then trading Reddick isn’t going to make them better next year unless they want draft capital and use cap money to go get someone like Josh Allen or burns which i think is a dangerous game to play. To me your defense wasn’t good enough with Reddick. Without your best pass rusher it somehow gets even worse.

imo if we were in a rebuild, then it would make a lot more sense to me to be like. Oh yeah let’s just trade Reddick. Get what we can and build for the future. But your Super Bowl window is right now. So if you trade him, your defense is not as good as it was today. You can fill other spots and you get the draft pick to try to build. But taking away a premiere pass rusher and just building up other spots and hoping those guys hit (picks and FA) is a risk that seems like we likely at best are not good enough still and lacking pass rush.

Have to agree.  If we play the 3-4, he should be able to come off the edge and be very effective.

Already have been reports Josh Allen will be tagged by the Jags.

But he's humbled...

How does these reports contradict that?  They want him to be more vocal and draw more attention to himself in the locker room.  This isn't a Wentz situation where the guy carried himself with an arrogance that was unapproachable and uncoachable.

So are we still pretending the Eagles want hurts to be more vocal made up clickbait by the dastardly local beat writers?

Which is why they should just find a number everyone can live with

Allen and Burns will be tagged

Allen likely doesn’t reach as he’s going to be tagged. Unsure on burns. Either way it makes even less sense to deal Reddick at that point cause you don’t have a viable replacement and Nolan smith isn’t viable yet.

Smith and Dickerson are up for extensions. Milton Williams as well. He's going to be 30 next year. Even if he comes back for the final year of his deal, we're going to be looking to replace him next season. Get what you can for him and sign a veteran guy and draft a guy.

Why do you keep bringing up Wentz? We all know your love obsession with QB1... don't need to keep comparing the two

Would you be happy with a 2nd and 4th/ 5th rd pick for Reddick? Either way we will be revisiting this discussion next year if he ends up finishing out his deal

Rodgers will not be reinstated this year. The NFL stated if you bet on your own team, it is 2 year. That’s exactly what Rodgers did when he bet on the colts RB.

I generally agree it’s unlikely they would spend a high round pick in a CB, but that’s more so because of their history and the general lack of talent all over the defense in other positions. While not great, the CB group is probably the 2nd strongest group on defense.

If they don’t see Sweat as a good fit in this 3-4 they could look to trade him along with Reddick, depending on his contract situation and that he doesn’t want to drop into coverage like Fangios defense asks.

Wow.  That might the most depressing thing I've read in a while...  and you are probably right, which tells you how bad the talent level on defense is.

Good organizations are on/out a player too early than too late. We messed up with Bradberry. Don't make the same mistake with Reddick. Trade him now.

Made the mistake with Bradberry, and Slay and Cox and Byard and Maddox...  the list is longer than just Bradberry.

Probably not because they’re not gonna be able to gwt the production of what they’re trading away and they really aren’t creating cap space to go make other moves. If they weren’t a Super Bowl window right now, I’d be fine with it. But considering the fact you’re in a Super Bowl window and you’re not gonna replace that type of production, that’s a problem.

frankly, I see this ending the same way it did with the Cardinals and Buddha Baker. where they give him more money for this upcoming year. I’d keep him and see where the Eagles are at nearing the trade deadline. Because if things fall apart, I’m still gonna be able to trade him and likely get a second round pick. If Montez sweat got a second round pick who’s been for less productive and needed a new contract then I’m guessing Hassan Reddick if he’s playing well will get you that.

SB loss continues to hurt, as this could mean Reddick is out and our defense has another hole.

Could be wrong, but just a gut feeling we patch things up with bubble gum and paperclips until we inevitably blow everything up and start over.

Who will be the MVP of the Swiftie Bowl later? Jason must be as near as odds on to steal the spotlight but what will he do?

Mahomes i imagine. Or cmc

My feeling is Mahomes will get it, but a player like Pacheco could steal the spotlight.

BG will be back. I don't want him back by Howie will do so. If Cox doesn't retire he'll be back too. I think Bradberry is gone June 1st

Either way you need to replace him within the next 2 years. I fully expect the Eagles to spend most of their cap space and draft resources into the defense this upcoming offseason. If you get a deal you like then pull the trigger and use that money elsewhere

Byard is all but gone. I still think Bradberry will be a post June 1st cut

I would put enormous money on Purdy winning it. Regardless of how he plays the NFL would love nothing more than to run a "Mr Irrelevant to Super Bowl MVP" story. The niners are winning, Purdy is getting MVP. CMC will account for half of the offense and probably score every TD but all the credit will go to Mr Irrelevant.

And we thought niners fans were insufferable the last two seasons? It's about to get way worse.
