That’s fine if you don’t see yourself as a Super Bowl contender this upcoming year. Then go play your young kids and let them develop. We don’t have Patrick mahomes like the chiefs did last year when they essentially implemented a defense like that in 2023

You believe the eagles are sitting here after firing everyone on the defensive staff, paying fangio and all his guys to come here and going out and getting Kellen Moore that the eagles don’t view themselves as in a SB window? I don’t how anyone can sit here with a straight face and believe Howie and Jeff are looking at this team saying they aren’t in a sb window.

I think they do think there is a window, but they are in a bind of their own making.  But you can fairly say, wise investments in rookies high up at LB and S, could mitigate the cap issues.  Other teams get an impact at LB (for example) in a rookie season, but the Birds just can't historically.

My post was towards the Garafolo report about the Eagles wanting QB1 to be more of a vocal leader.  You brought up Wentz. Go deep throat your boy some more

Thanks. Wipe your chin. You look sloppy

I think the Eagles feel the offense is pretty set and with a good OC can be elite and SB caliber.  Defense will have to improve but doesn't need to be top 5-10 necessarily.

Agree.   They can't be bottom 5 though, that's for certain.

It makes more sense to trade Sweat when it comes down to it though. He's a 4-3 DE. I just can't see him being a successful 3-4 rush OLB. He's going to be asked to cover and he's just not that guy. I also think his knee is going to hit it's shelf life sooner than later. I love Sweat, one of my favorite players on defense, even though he was ass this past year. He's probably a bit overrated by many, but he's their best if not only DE on the roster.

Even if they keep Reddick, some guys on my radar for the 3-4.

DE/DT- Justin Madubuike, Justin Jones, Bilal Nichols, Christian Wilkins, Denico Autry, Solomon Thomas, AJ Epenesa, Kentavius Street (yes, I'd bring him back as depth)

Rush/OLB- Brian Burns, Yetur Gross-Matos, Josh Allen, Jerome Baker, Josh Uche

The Eagles also have some young guys who could fill out some depth positions in a 3-4.

Moro Ojomo and Thomas Booker have the ideal skillset and build for 3-4 DE. Both are right around 6-3 300.

Noah Elliss, if he can stay healthy, is a massive human at 6-4 350. Could he be NT2 and rotate with Jordan Davis?

I'd be happy if the Eagles signed Epenesa. Was always a fan. I don't think the Bills cap situation is the greatest and have quite a few FA's on defense

Hey! We're good people, just because we're getting old and have health issues doesn't mean we... oh, wait... you're not talking about ... never mind.

Does it bother anyone else that this guy continues to act like he's a beat writer for the Eagles?

The Eagles draft and development on defense has been poor for a while now. Josh sweat, Carter, and Reed Blankenship (lesser degree and he has his warts) are the only three players on that defense they’ve developed to be competent starters or reliable starters in the last 5 years. Everybody else who’s young on that defense has yet to prove they can be quality, long-term starters. Jordan Davis has been underwhelming. Dean hasn’t been good and can’t stay healthy. Nolan Smith didn’t show anything last year besides 1 game. Ringo hasn’t shown he could be a long-term starter. Brown can’t stay healthy. Maddox isn’t young anymore and can’t stay healthy. Jobe is likely a backup. Ricks hasn’t proven he can be a competent starter. Milton Williams looks to be more of a situational type player

I pointed this out after the 2020 season. They needed to tear everything down defensively and completely start over. It was necessary. Take the couple of years to build it and move on from older players and go young. Start drafting, developing and let those guys play so that by 2023 they would be further along. If you did it right and you can add pieces in FA to a defense that should be Super Bowl ready by that point. The eagles didn’t wanna do that. It’s why they extended slay, signed bradberry and extended him, keep bringing back cox, Graham. So I don’t see them wanting to do it right now.

I ignore him.  I wish others would stop posting his Tweets in here like they are "news".

Keep seeing posts in Facebook saying Bradberry also requested a trade. Haven’t seen anything in here about it though

Wife wants to tune in to the halftime show for Usher, other than that I won't be watching. Hate both of these teams, add in how awful officiating has been as well as the likelihood the niners benefit from it today and makes it an easy skip for me.

God that would be a miracle if someone took him off our hands. I'll pay for his airfare

Don't watch.  You'll feel so much better.

That was my play. Turning the TV on around 6:15-6:20, and it goes off once the 4th quarter clock hits 0. Maybe sooner if it's clear the game is decided.

Jason really going all out with his Chiefs fandom

He’s gonna get cut before traded. It’s 9.6 mil cap hit and 14 mil dead money to trade him. If they post June 1st it saves them 0 and only 4 mil dead money.

Who will be the MVP of the Swiftie Bowl later? Jason must be as near as odds on to steal the spotlight but what will he do?

Draw and Quarter Taylor

Not only do I want both teams to lose, but I can't even root for a meteor to hit the place. Jason Kelce is there, and retiring or not, don't want him injured. Or Mama Kelce. Got nothing against her.

Hey we can start grinding up the elderly any time now…

God, I don’t think I’ve ever hated a non-Eagles Super Bowl matchup more than I hate this one.
