I've been here long enough.

Not a true,  bleeding eagles green, fan.

So, yeah,  when Eagles fans are oblivious to they fact that they're acting awful, I have a lot of other fan bases to compare to.

Go join one of the other fan bases then.  No one enjoys your bizarre takes and crazy ideas here, why are you even here?

The last sentence doesn't go without saying because we've been saying it all season and he hasn't changed anything.  If Siri starts the season 3-0 next year playing the same way with ugly wins with no changes, people will not be buying back in.  The team was 10-1 and people were calling for firings.

of course not....

Of this year's playoff team Head Coaches, previously not a Head Coach. 4 defensive background, 6 offensive background

  1. Ravens Harbaugh: DBs Position coach
  2. Bills McDermott: Defensive Coordinator
  3. Texans Ryans: Defensive Coordinator
  4. Steelers Tomlin: Defensive Coordinator
  5. 49ers Shanahan: Offensive Coordinator
  6. Dolphins McDaniel: Offensive Coordinator
  7. Browns Stefanski: Offensive Coordinator
  8. Lions Campbell: Asst HC & TE Position Coach
  9. Rams McVay: Offensive Coordinator
  10. Packers LaFleur: Offensive Coordinator

Previously a Head Coach: 2 offensive background, 1 defensive background

  1. Chiefs Reid: Head Coach
  2. Cowboys McCarthy: Head Coach
  3. Bucs Bowles: Head Coach

You have a better shot hiring a coach who has never been a head coach.  While most people want a coach with offensive background, a defensive background can work as well with a good OC.  It can work to hire a former head coach, but no HC has ever won a SB with 2 teams so you'd be hoping to break NFL history.

Harbaugh was a ST Coordinator.

Repetitive Ahole Score?

Repetitive Ahole Score?

In his last year with the Eagles, he became the DB coach to try and build his resume.

Would you consider 2023 a good passing season from Hurts?

No.  And do you know what % of plays were called to the middle of the field where Hurts has between a 99 (0-10 yards) and a 158 perfect rating on 10-20 yards?

5.2% of plays.  5 freaking point 2 percent.

Whose fault is that???

The Philadelphia Eagles wouldn’t exist without fans.  They would be moved to another city, etc.

But there’s a zero chance of that happening because thanks to the loyal Eagles fanbase, the Philadelphia Eagles are likely a top 10 NFL franchise in terms of value and profitability.

Nah,  the Eagles could get new fans. Philly is a big city.

Of course,  you can't just get rid of fans.

Maybe the Eagles could put a quiz on applications for season tickets?

Now I know you’re trolling.  Well played.

This is pretty obvious.

Taking a look at a few safety prospects today.  Eagles need a free safety in the worst way; someone who can cover ground, tackle, and has good ball skills -- in that order:

Kamren Kinchens (Miami) -- very impressive.  Fits all three criteria, definitely a willing and solid tackler.  Strong instincts.

Tyler Nubin (Minnesota) -- probably more suited to be a box safety in the NFL; reminds me of Blankenship, actually.  Has a good nose for the football but looks better playing downhill than in space

Calen Bullock (USC) -- really good closing speed and range.  Decent tackler, although a bit unorthodox in technique.  Good playing strength but he has a slight build.  I would wonder about durability in the NFL.  He definitely projects more as a free safety than box safety IMO.

Javon Bullard (Georgia) -- decent tape, but not really inspiring.  Maybe I'm cautious now about Georgia defenders, but he seemed to be chasing more than making plays.  He's a free safety but I wouldn't say range is his strong suit.

Andrew Mukuba (Clemson) -- maybe it's his size, but he looks like a nickel CB more than a safety at the NFL level.  Pretty good player, but doesn't stand out in any particular area.  His coverage skills look to be his strongest asset; if he's fast enough he could be a good nickel.

Of this group I would definitely rank Kinchens and Bullock over the rest.

I know, I misread his table. Thought he was focusing on Coordinator roles only and him being a ST Coordinator was omitted. Now I see it's just going by last position.

OC - Greg Roman
DC - Wink Martindale.

Ravens 2019 14-2  #1 seed  Lamar MVP.

Roman was let go the Ravens and the next year their offense looks as best as it ever with Lamar.

Heard today that 5% of Hurts' passes for the entire season were between the hash marks.

He’s a master at designing and committing to the run however.  He almost beat the bengals with a backup QB if not for a bad 2 yard QB sneak where the QB fumbled for a defensive TD. Control the clock, limit defensive snaps, work the play action. I wouldn’t hate it, but would HAVE to commit to running the ball 25x+ a game to have his potential value realized. If you’re dropping back and passing 75% of the time it’s not going to work.

When she's alone at night in bed with nothing but the sound of her own thoughts, I bet your mother laments the fact that the morning after pill wasn't an option before your zygote was formed.

Some other mid-round names to look into are Cole Bishop of Utah, Beau Brade from Maryland, and Jaden Hicks from WSU.

Howie makes mistakes, but we got to two SBs in five years and won one - you have any f---g idea how hard that is?

Before the last five years, we got to the SB in 1980 and 2004 and lost both.

So he mortgaged the future to do so, and the day of reckoning came this season.

Big deal. That's the NFL. He also has stockpiled some top young talent (Smith, Carter, Davis, Smith, Jurgens, Mialata, etc.) to anchor a quick turnaround.

So take a step back in 2024, clear cap, audition a lot of draft picks, SFAs, cheap FAs, UDFAs, build cheap young depth.

Then in summer of 2025, add a couple key FAs with the cap room you've cleared.

In the worst case scenario of keeping the idiot head coach, Greg Roman would be a good option as the new OC.  Committed to pounding the run game and had success with Lamar Jacksokn previously.

Yep.  And he had a rating of 158 (perfect) on 10-20 yards middle of the field and a 99.6 rating on passes 0- 10 yards middle of the field.

Clearly sabotaging Hurts and the offense by the play calling/play design/game planning.

Incompetence at incomprehensible levels, folks!

Do you wonder why AJ Brown has been losing his mind lately?  Why Goedert has been losing his mind?

Middle of the field is where those guys feast!  That’s why.  It’s not some sort of secret.

Bullock is probably my favorite safety followed by

Bullard

Bishop

TJ Tampa my favorite CB
