Honestly, as much as we make fun of him, I think Kirk Cousins on the niners would make them ridiculous. He wouldn't have to try so hard and he's much more talented than Purdy. They probably can't afford him since they have so many people up for extensions after next season. He isn't taking a one year deal

Makes no sense. We've seen Kirk Cousins with a great supporting cast. He's Kirk. Plus they'd have ro pay him a pretty penny and lose some guys in the process.

Same will happen with paying Purdy

Good morning!

The 49ers are ringless, Deebo is crying from the loss and Cox's social post and Nick Bosa is now 0-2 during Black History Month.

#1 have DBs who can tackle and stop the bleeding.
#2 have defense systems where players are within 10 yards of a targeted pass catcher.
#3 Pass Rush

#4 Run the ball

#5 Don’t talk trash all season and score 19 points in the SB after the Chiefs spotted you an entire half.

also game plan throwing down the middle, i seem to remember us doing that when we won the sb.

I mean I'm enjoying the niner loss as much as anyone, but WTF is this?

I don't feel bad at all for Greenlaw.

Wouldn't actively want someone to get hurt, but, he's a DBag

Correct.   In fact when he got hurt, I laughed a little.   My wife got indignant and asked if I was wishing injury on someone.   I said, "Absolutely not.  But, if a guy is going to get hurt... in a non-contact situation... in front of a Super Bowl audience... THAT was the perfect guy for it to happen to."

I was wondering the same thing.

Won't root for injuries, but I'm not going to be sad when it happens to Greenlaw.

And he literally got hurt jumping on the sidelines, to run on to the field.   Such a stupid way to get hurt.

Right... they're screwed. Purdy didn't lose that game yesterday. He just didn't win it. Either way they'll eventually have to pay for a QB and lose some key players. Similar to the Eagles.

McNabb-esque

Theres a thing about Bosa being racist but i cant remember the origin of it

I thought the insinuation was that he is a MAGA fan or something like that.

The Chiefs were probably the second best team in each of the last two SBs yet they've got two rings.

2004 and 2022 the Eagles were clearly the best team in the league IMO, and lost both.

2017 we were the best all season, but probably not in the actual SB with all the injuries but we just had the mojo.

F'ing sports, man.

Kirk has never had a team like the niners. Elite WR, TE, RB and an elite defense.

They like Purdy because he is cheap and semi-effective and allows them to load up around him.  He will be gone before they ever pay him big money and get stuck with a mediocre QB with a big salary (like we are).

I don’t disagree with you there. He’s hugely overrated but as you say he’s cheap so they can build an elite roster.

as someone who's had achilles  tendonitis for the past 6 months i do feel a bit sorry for greenlaw.

But he's **** so not really.

And the second part is why I kind of have no sympathy for Greenlaw. He got off lightly for punching DiSandro, so eff him

And he wouldn't have it if he became a 9er.

Yea I pretty much said that on my initial post about him

That's the thing about football.  It isn't about being the best team.  It's about being the better team on that day... and even then, if you don't capitalize on your opportunities, but your opponent does, you can still lose.

It's why we watch.  If the better team always won it wouldn't be all that interesting.   It's the fact that the underdog always has a chance that makes it worth watching.   That said, I wouldn't consider the Chiefs "underdogs" in the truest sense of the term.  They may not have been favored to win, but they have the championship pedigree and they have the best QB on the field.   And when it comes right down to it... in the NFL, almost always the team who has the better QB that day wins.

Someone is gonna have some "regerts” this morning.

What a beautiful morning. Yes the Eagles crapped the bed, but I’m mentally into the offseason. But I got to watch the Cowgirls and 40Whiners both lose in epic fashion.

Was just looking at Matt Miller’s 2-round mock and has the Birds taking:

22: Quinyon Mitchell CB, Toledo

50: Tyler Nubin S, Minnesota

53: Junior Colson LB, Michigan

Switch Colson for Edge Cooper or Cedric Gray and that’s a great first 2 rounds.
