I wonder if Kelce thought he could plow right through him, because if he did that was game. Would be interesting to get his thoughts on that play and what he was thinking.

Thats what my concern was if they threw to him on the play before the field goal. Hypothetically if they threw a pass middle of the field say around 2-3 yard line.  he’d try to fight his way into the end zone and if he didn’t get in the clock might have expired before they got the chance to call a timeout

Someone on the 49ers Reddit said, "the chiefs couldn’t win anything without Patrick Mahomes 🤷‍♂️.” As if that some some kind of insult that made any sense

So I replied, "Neither can you”

I am sure the whiners have some excuse on why they were cheated last night (despite an obvious illegal man downfield on their trick play TD), but iDGAF what they say.  They lost to a lesser KC than the Eagles played last year.  Satisfactory ending to the season.

Not at all.  Perfectly legal.   I can repost the video if you'd like to see it.

I have a feeling you're gonna have to re-post that screenshot many more times.

On the topic of the CMac TD, I was mistaken about the receiver being behind the LOS as a factor. Dug up the rule and it doesn't make a reference to that being a stipulation. There is a similar note in the rule about the receiver having to be behind the lineman who was engaged in a block, but not behind the LOS.

SECTION 3 - INELIGIBLE PLAYER DOWNFIELD

ARTICLE 1. LEGAL AND ILLEGAL ACTS

On a scrimmage play during which a legal forward pass is thrown, an ineligible offensive player, including a T-formation quarterback, is not permitted to move more than one yard beyond the line of scrimmage before the pass has been thrown.

Item 1. Legally Downfield. An ineligible player is not illegally downfield if, after initiating contact with an opponent within one yard of the line of scrimmage during his initial charge:

  1. he moves more than one yard beyond the line while legally blocking or being blocked by an opponent
  2. after breaking legal contact with an opponent more than one yard beyond the line of scrimmage, he remains stationary until a forward pass is thrown
  3. after losing legal contact with an opponent more than one yard beyond the line of scrimmage, he is forced behind the line of scrimmage by an opponent, at which time he is again subject to normal blocking restrictions for an ineligible offensive player.

Note: If an ineligible offensive player moves beyond the line while legally blocking or being blocked by an opponent, an eligible offensive player may catch a pass between them and the line of scrimmage.

Chiefs were sleepwalking the entire first half.  If the Niners weren't shooting themselves in the foot constantly fumbling and taking dumb penalties they could have been up a lot more than 10-3.  My brother is a life-long Chiefs fan, and when I texted him after the game he said the Bills were the only matchup in the playoffs that worried him at all; the only reason the Super Bowl was close was because the Chiefs allowed SF to hang around.

Looking at how the Niners shouldn't have beaten either GB or DET, I can understand how he felt that way.

Yup the niners mistakes is what kept that game close and eventually lost them yhe game. CMC’s fumble took at least 3 points off the board if not 7. The fumble on the punt gave the chiefs life and 7 points. The blocked extra point is a 1 off the board for the niners. Niners mistakes and shooting themselves in the foot was at least a 11 point swing in this game. Imo if that punt fumble is where the game completely flipped. Felt like the chiefs offense was still having issues against niners pass rush and protecting mahomes until that fumble

That said chiefs offense from 2nd half against the ravens to the end of the first half against niners had a lot of the same issues they had for large portions of the year. Had 3 points in their last 4 quarters going into halftime (also 20 points in their last 6 quarters). Their oline was getting pushed around and they really missed thuney for first 43 mins of that game. I still feel this way about the chiefs offense that they need another WR and it’ll open things up for rice and kelce. Imo this SB was their most impressive cause i don’t think their offense was some unstoppable force or even great, but they built their defense the right way by allowing their young players to develop and play and sprinkling in key veterans around them.

Idiot Eagles fans called him fat, idiot, didn’t know clock management etc

You are all idiots.

I was against letting Nick Foles go.

Wentz enablers said that Foles was a one trick pony and Wentz was astronomically more talented than Foles.

You are all a bunch of morons.

I am and still am a Hurts guy.  He’s shown a lot except this season he turned into a knucklehead - probably listening to you idiots.

Hopefully next season Hurts will realize don’t listen to the Philly morons.

You do you and bring this city back a championship.

When I called Jeffrey about Andy he didn't listen to me. I am sorry for the Nick Foles trade.  I should have known that Wentz was mentally fragile.  I am still a Hurts guy too.

I'm not one of those Tony Romo pile on people. I think people go over the top with it at this point and like to rip him for everything because he's the low hanging fruit. That said, what the F was this?

In the middle of the call he just mumbles "They won the Super Bowl" silently almost like he's saying it off mic. Don't ruin the moment, keep quiet. Let the PBP man make the call.

He's earned the criticism he gets. He's overrated

Ok, man. Time to sleep it off. Maybe you’ll remember how bad things were at that time in his life when you wake up in the morning.

He's been a bad drunk for years on here. I had to put him on ignore because of it awhile ago

Who would have thought the Nickelodeon broadcast of the final TD was better than the CBS one.

You don't have Romo ruining the whole thing and the camera stays on the field to show the actual team and coaches celebrating.

The NFC really isn’t crap. The Eagles have a prime opportunity to get back next season and win it all as long as Howie doesn’t F up the off-season. So please don’t trade Reddick. That would start this huge off-season with a kick in the balls.

You realize that Reddick is pushing for a trade because he wants a new deal.  It would be a mistake to invest heavily in Reddick given his age.  I don't know what his market value is but I don't think Roseman would be making a mistake to trade him if he can get at least a day 2 pick back from a team.

It took me a few years of being on the EMB before I realized a lot of people would get drunk during the game. Helped to explain all the hot takes and weird comments I'd see on here in real time. Now if there was only an explanation for all the hot takes and weird comments made the morning after and throughout the week.

As if you calling me names could hurt me anymore than being called out by @Ace Nova

The Eagles should have kept Andy Reid. And drafted Pat Mahomes & Travis Kelce.  And hired Spags.  But also they should have still won the SB in 2018. And maybe they should have still drafted Jalen Carter if he turns out to be really good.

I agree with the Spags part. He failed as a HC, but he is one hell of a DC. Would loved for him to be the DC here. Not only that, he seems to know that he is better off as a DC rather than HC so he's building a legacy with that.

Feel a little bit.......just a little......for Javon Hargrave.

I know F*** him, he left and took the money and went to the enemy.

But he has to be thinking I was extremely close to having 2 SBs and both times it was taken away by KC.

They seem to be handling it well

Seems to be the craze nowadays.

When your team loses, take it out on the TV.

It's not the TVs fault so leave it alone.

NFL Rumors: Javon Hargrave has requested permission to seek a trade to Kansas City Chiefs

Tbh he deserves to at least be suspended if not banned. This is about the 5th time he’s pulled this crap where he gets drunk, acts belligerent and calls people names. If you can’t drink  responsibly then don’t drink and especially don’t come on here. he will eventually come on here and apologize. Even though his apology is now hallow cause it’s a bunch of bs as he’ll do the same thing all over again down the road.
