For what AR has accomplished at KC, he did not fair that well prior to the arrival of Mahommes.  His tenure with the Eagles produced multiple winning seasons and one trip to SB.  Yet he could be push thru for a SB win.  Good coaches are one thing, good players to execute the plans are the crucial elements to bring home the ultimate trophy.

IMHO, KC's victory yesterday based mainly on two elements: the TO on 49ers' mistake on that punt return (up to that point, the Chiefs were not playing well) and the sheer determination of Mahommes to win.

That was the greatest draft day trade in NFL history, IMO.  Kansas City moved up from 27 all the way to 10 and only had to give up #91 overall and their 1st round pick the next season.  I remember going "Wow!" when that trade was announced, then saying "What!?" when Mahomes was announced as the player selected (instead of Deshaun Watson).

Just a great off-the-radar move.

‘Tis extension season.  Lovato, Mann, Swift at reasonable cost.  Real old vets, no.   Love what Kelce, Fletcher, BG brought but time to move on. Maybe Opeta if cheap, but not at a premium cost.  Time to move on from some mid tier vets and expiring first contracts. (Driscoll, Bradley, Albert O and Quez). Probably time to replace Boston Scott.  Need to figure out what to do with Byard and Bradberry.

If Kelce wants to come back, it's a no brainer on a deal like this year. He's still one of the top 2 players at his position in the league. BG will come back cheap as well as depth. Cox will be the most likely to be gone of those 3.

Is it bad I want to see us get some larger DE's.  I know many in here were against Van Ness and Karlaftis in the past but i want some DE's on our team who are 6 foot 5 275 vs 6 foot 2 240 pounds

I think with the switch to Vic, we see that. Milton playing more end, and drafting someone built more like Brandon Dorlus. More 3-4 ends.

TLDR
Defense is going to suck again.

Meh.   Suspension or ban seems extreme.

I thought he was being delightful. I certainly would take his drunk posts over some old posters’ sober ones.

May be an image of 1 person, money and text that says "ER HAASON REDDICK AGE 29 YEARS REMAINING CAP HIT $21,877,000 RESTRUCTURE $11,092,500 CUT EXTEND $11,832,000 -PRE-JUNE 1ST CAP SAVED $1,212,000 $20,655,000 DEAD MONEY TRADE -PRE-JUNE 1ST CAP SAVED THEROAD TOVICTORY -POST-JUNE 1ST CAP SAVED DEAD MONEY $1,212,000 -$20,655,000 8OBIROS $16,000,000 DEAD MONEY -$5,877,000 -POST-JUNE 1ST CAP SAVED $16,000,000 -$5,877,000 DEAD MONEY"

So does this mean if we do trade him it would be for 2025 draft picks?

Money and cap aside, it would likely be 2025 picks because they will have conditions attached to them. I don't think a team is going to give up major assets and sign him around $25M APY at his age without some assurances.

That's been my hypothetical.  I'd rather save $15M and wait until after June 1 to get 2025 draft capital, especially if it makes the trade return better.

You guys are forgetting the most important angle of the Reddick situation: what kind of comp pick would we get if we keep him then let him walk the next year?

Don’t forget the 2 and 4 for Reddick

I think we've gotten way too picky. Team finally got a stud pass rusher that the franchise has lacked for years and now we take it for granted and are like "Eh, we can do better." He's one of the best edge rushers in the NFL. The odds of them finding a player as good as him any time soon are not high. Especially with how they draft on defense.

IMO Dline depth is far more important than 1 guy who makes us All-Pro headlines. 2017 the best guy was Fletch, and then the second best was… Graham? Jernigan? But we were 9 deep and the guys at the bottom like Beau and Long were phenomenal when it mattered. That Dline was worth more than 2022’s. Their run D was sick, back to Reddick’s strengths and weaknesses.

Id swap Reddick for a safety like Winfield in FA, a decent DE or two, and some day 2 picks in a heartbeat. This is setting up for another offseason where Howie goes nuts

He’ll prob sit out until he gets an extension, can’t imagine him playing under this current deal

How many pass rushers are productive into their 30s?  I agree he's a premium player this season.  I just don't think they want to invest the cap space to keep him given his age.

It probably varies and also the farther you're into the 30, the greater the decline. But just in recent years, the Eagles have had 3 players 30+ have one of their best years. Cox, Hargrave, and Graham.

Not a single one of them is getting a market-level deal. That's what you're missing.

The dead cap is leverage for Howie to demand more in a trade.

Hargrave did and was one of the Niners best defensive players this year. You said good teams don't pay guys 30+ to market deals, the Niners just did.

Obviously Graham and Cox won't because they're older. But the reason for not wanting to is the idea that when you're 30+ you decline, and I think those 3 guys show not necessarily. I could see Reddick getting 13+ sacks a season through age 32.

Oh and an antivaxer to boot. What a peach.

Who the hell is still getting the vax at this point? First two or three rounds? OK. Still??? That crap seems to have more issues than getting sick at this point. The last one felt like an ice pick was going through my eye at night. Screw that again.

The 49ers would want a redo on the Hargrave deal. Was not a 20M/Y player. Didn't dominate the SB despite going up against the Chiefs backup LG. He fell off down the stretch (he was bad vs. Detroit). Oh, and he's still a bad run defender.

Hargrave was in no way one of their best 6 defensive players this year (Bosa-Warner-Greenlaw-Armstead-Lenoir-Ward).

Tbh he deserves to at least be suspended if not banned. This is about the 5th time he’s pulled this crap where he gets drunk, acts belligerent and calls people names. If you can’t drink  responsibly then don’t drink and especially don’t come on here. he will eventually come on here and apologize. Even though his apology is now hallow cause it’s a bunch of bs as he’ll do the same thing all over again down the road.

Whats funny and sad is i cant tell

who you are talking about

Normally I’d agree if it’s 1-2 times. All have our times. however when you don’t 8+ times getting plastered on here calling people names and contributing nothing but calling people morons and idiots then i think it’s deserving of it. And if he was being productive with it and having conversations it’d be one thing. But this was a drunk that just wanted call everyone morons and idiots

Everyone has different reactions to any immunotherapy. I got my current one because I hadn't gotten one in a while and it has no side effects for me, generally. Got it with my flu shot and I consider those equal things now that we're in the endemic phase and out of the pandemic phase.

They gave you the shot in the eye, in the dark?   Bad choice of location by you.
