We all know that’s just the nature of the award, rewarding the QBs on the best teams. But the Purdy discourse is not really comparing Purdy to Lamar or Allen or Mahomes. A lot of people think he’s a bum or just another Jimmy G.

It’s just funny that the overwhelming opinion on Purdy is that he isn’t good, yet those same people say he’s overrated.

That's...what being overrated means. Someone isn’t that good, but is being propped up like they are.

Not gonna lie, I'd take this as a lifetime achievement if I was one of those 49ers fans

Overwhelming where? I hear a ton of he's one of the best QBs in the league in a ton of the coverage pre-SB and a lot of people using analytics and numbers to show he should have been the MVP and such. Like the people who were mad that T.J. Watt was snubbed since he had more sacks than Miles Garrett for DPOY. A lot of folks were saying Purdy was top 5. There was the counter argument that he's in a great system with players like what Cam Newton said, but most media was starting to make Cam out to be the bad guy because he called Purdy a game manager.

Just in the video to have it as a lifetime achievement

Kelce had a good time last night, not sure he'll remember much of it

Wonder what the chances Kelce signs with the Chiefs to play with Travis for both of their final years? You have to think KC is the clear favorite to win it all again next year. He certainly loves wearing Chiefs gear.

A QB I like who is underrated , imo , Travis Jordan . Hopefully he gets healthy . He has one quick release

Damn

That would be a Swift kick to the nuts of Eagles fans.

Do you have 9er fans in your life?

Fans (and the media) were propping him up like he’s the best QB in the league.

I live in 49ers territory, I assure you this is what was being said

With his personality I'm amazed the networks haven't thrown money at him. He's getting advertisements and features in movies

Doubt they get rid of Creed Humphrey just for some warm fuzzies for 1 year. The consternation about him wearing his brother's team gear is silly.

Actually, I'd like to see it the other way around.

I mean can you imagine! Given what went down on the sideline last night I guess there is a small chance?

I doubt there's any tension between the two, AR has probably already forgotten about it...

Emotions were high, heat of the moment type deal and Travis is just as competitive as Jason

Travis Kelce supporting Jason vs Jason supporting Travis.

It doesn't bother me but I will say that I think Jason Kelce's act is getting old and I just think it's a bad look to wear the gear of the team that took the Super Bowl from you last year. Much different look if he were to wear Travis's jersey like TK did. Or even go the direction his wife did by wearing a red U of Cincy sweatshirt.

Nope.  I cut them off years ago!  :P

That was much ado about nothing. There's two guys who can get away with doing that on that team and it's him and Mahomes. Uber competitive people in an uber competitive situation. It was blown out of proportion.

Sire, in the narrow discussion of an MVP race. But that’s not really how the Purdy discourse is couched. Besides the vast majority of the people don’t believe Purdy is one of the most 3-5 valuable players in the sport. Much of the discourse around Purdy is that he isn’t good and that he’s propped up by his supporting cast and scheme. He’s just a cheaper Jimmy G. IMO, the vast majority of fans are actually underrating him.
