Overwhelming where? I hear a ton of he's one of the best QBs in the league in a ton of the coverage pre-SB and a lot of people using analytics and numbers to show he should have been the MVP and such. Like the people who were mad that T.J. Watt was snubbed since he had more sacks than Miles Garrett for DPOY. A lot of folks were saying Purdy was top 5. There was the counter argument that he's in a great system with players like what Cam Newton said, but most media was starting to make Cam out to be the bad guy because he called Purdy a game manager.

We clearly don’t read or watch the same things, lol

I guess not, I'm just going off national media and X stuff. Most of the time I saw what you are saying it was push back to the stuff I was seeing. Now, I think he's in the middle, like game manager +. He's a benefit to that system unlike Jimmy G being just able to kind of run it. It makes him bottom side of good for me, a little better than pure avg. He's not a pure game manager, he makes some plus throws and he's in a great system for him. Top 10-15ish

Brock Purdy has such a wild swing from one end of the prism to the next that he's both overrated and underrated depending who you are talking to.

Sire, in the narrow discussion of an MVP race. But that’s not really how the Purdy discourse is couched. Besides the vast majority of the people don’t believe Purdy is one of the most 3-5 valuable players in the sport. Much of the discourse around Purdy is that he isn’t good and that he’s propped up by his supporting cast and scheme. He’s just a cheaper Jimmy G. IMO, the vast majority of fans are actually underrating him.

Severely disagree. Put him on the giants and he's no better than Daniel Jones. Put Daniel Jones and the niners and they're still a 1 seed. Purdy does nothing special at all, he's the beneficiary of elite weapons, an elite defense, and a coach who makes his throws easy.

You forget that this team has been this good for years, Purdy hasn't done anything that kaepernick or Jimmy G couldn't do. All of them got to super bowls and all of them lost because they're all JAGs

In the Shanahan offense Purdy is more potent than Jimmy G and less potent than Matt Ryan was in ATL.  The truth is somewhere in that narrow or wide range of outcomes   lol

Purdy would struggle on the Giants given his physical limitations, but 49es would be one and out in the playoffs with Jones.

Jones simply isn't a top 20 NFL QB.

Wonder what the chances Kelce signs with the Chiefs to play with Travis for both of their final years? You have to think KC is the clear favorite to win it all again next year. He certainly loves wearing Chiefs gear.

Lots of conspiracy theories floating around.   The guy is supporting his brother, at a game, so he's wearing his brother's team's colors.   No big deal.   Did you miss the part where he screamed "Eagles!" at Adele?   He didn't scream Chiefs.

He's just having a good time, and supporting his brother etching his legacy in the history of the game.    Travis Kelce was 7 yards short of passing Jerry Rice for the most 100+ yard postseason game performances.    He's going to go down as the best TE in the history of the game.

I think we see him similarly.

Whether you support trading Reddick or not, I think we all know the outcome if they do. They get a 2nd rounder for him, they spend their first rounder on a DE who likely isn't half as good as Reddick. They use that 2nd rounder on like a safety who's good, but isn't a franchise cornerstone. And we all lose.

I'm actually afraid they're going to pay Sweat in a year. I think he's a part time player and the Eagles seem to absolutely love him, probably because he passes the analytics sniff test. But he's had a significant injury in his past, never has been a guy who shows up every week. Paying him would be a major mistake. Especially if they're choosing between him and Reddick. Reddick is only 29 it's not like he's 34. The Eagles need to stop with this paranoia of paying DL 30+. Yet they're perfectly fine paying CBs 30+ when that position has a much greater history of quicker decline post 30 than DL.

2 wrongs don't make a right.  Signing Reddick to a deal that hamstrings the team's ability address other positions isn't a good plan.  I wouldn't be opposed to him getting a raise but he's due over $14 million.  Giving him a $6 million raise on top of that number and extending him for 4 more years isn't going to work out well for the team.  I agree replacing his production is potentially hard but they had a terrible year as a team getting to the QB.  Regression to a mean is going to help production. Nolan Smith will be able to fill in for Reddick.   They should be considering DE/Edge in the first round anyway.

Travis Kelce supporting Jason vs Jason supporting Travis.

It doesn't bother me but I will say that I think Jason Kelce's act is getting old and I just think it's a bad look to wear the gear of the team that took the Super Bowl from you last year. Much different look if he were to wear Travis's jersey like TK did. Or even go the direction his wife did by wearing a red U of Cincy sweatshirt.

It's his brother and it's the AFC.

Doubt you'd see Jason wearing a Cowboys outfit if Travis played for them.

Heck I routed for the KC Swifties for years when they were the Chiefs b/c of Big Red.

This would be exhibit A in my argument that people really underrate Purdy.

Probably the opposite

I don't think he was, he was walking like he was on purpose as like a "idgaf I'm on a mission to say this to all Niners fans" sort of way. He's an animated dude in real life.

Brock Purdy

Brak Prudyc

Drak Prudsco

Dak Prescott

or

Brock Purdy

Krock Pourdy

Korck Pourindy

Kork Cousiny

Kirk Cousins

Take your pick but that's how I see it.

They have a better, younger, cheaper Center

Not sure about the 'better' part.  Mahomes bailed Humphrey out a ton last night with those low snaps.  A couple of them were nearly back breakers.

Yeah hard not to argue kelce is going to be the best tight end in nfl history when all is said and done. Frankly gronk’s couldn’t stay healthy cause arguably he might have really great stats and probably be top 3 conversation

it’s an interesting top 5 at the right end position all time.

1. Kelce

2. Tony gonzalez

3. Antonio gates

4. Shannon sharpe

5. Gronk

If you want to see a guy that was completely carried by his team around him to make it to the SB, that's Rex Grossman. Purdy is better than Rex, by far.

He isn't better than Gronk and never will be. Gronk was a 6 OT for the Pats as well as an elite pass catcher. Kelce needs Noah Gray to block for him

Fair enough. I think that's debatable. From this point forward though I don't think any team would be taking Kelce over Humphrey.

I’d also say Trent dilfer with the ravens was carried. The offense played well in the SB but go look at their offense all year and through that postseason til that game
