  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

I agree with your list, and there's not a single person that you have leaving that would be missed.  BG will keep coming back on cheap deals as a part-time player until he retires.  He's not a liability and when he steps up he makes plays.

Cox would be missed if he were for sure to leave.  I would understand not paying him big money to let him walk, but they better put that money into an upgrade at another position to make up for that.  I'm fine with the DTs next year being Carter, Davis, Williams, Ojomo but they must get 2 actual quality LBs.  Dean might be ok but can't rely on him.

Strength and conditioning coaches need to be ALL over  this guy in the offseason.

Edelman thinks Belichick would be a great fit here.  He's dropping some truth bombs. Says Bill has a lot of respect for Howie and it's BS that he wouldnt work with him.

Belichick remains my home run scenario, if Lurie can get over himself and deal with a strong person, its exactly what the team needs unless they want a 2 year rebuild.

Think of the youngsters on our defense under the tutelage of one of the greatest defensive coaches of all time.

Rather have stability for Hurts. If we get a defensive HC then whenever the offense does great we'll lose the OC at the end of the season and have to find another

BG and Cox are both welcome back on team friendly deals. If Cox wants to go be a mercenary somewhere though, I get it. Still think he played at a high level this year, especially for his age.

He's gone. Howie won't pay him what he'll be asking for. Which is fair for both sides

In some games Cox and BG we're the only ones making plays. Cox was getting doubled

The young guys were MIA

I hope he’s back.  Great rotational back that would be best complemented with a big N-S runner, imo.  Probably will depend on the $$.

Come on man.  It’s obvious.  Anyway, we’ll find out soon either way.

The players loved Andy and Doug, too.

I don't care how many players say they believe in Sirianni. They can believe in him all they want. Believing in him when he's scheming vertical routes against blitzes and 30 bubble screens a game doesn't mean he's worth keeping.

Cowboys players are vouching for moron Mike McCarthy. Every team does this.

That's the issue though... you can't fix crazy.

Nah,  the Eagles could get new fans. Philly is a big city.

Of course,  you can't just get rid of fans.

Maybe the Eagles could put a quiz on applications for season tickets?

They do.  It’s called a deposit.

Of course they like Nick. Easiest practice in the league and he never throws them under the bus. This team has no accountability for a team that talk about it non stop.

Did they get rid of the "personal seat license” thing?

Cowboys kept Clapper around for 9 years so no way McCarthy will get fired.

I have no idea where you're going with this, but there's been bad reports out there. From annoymous players complaining about the offense to DGunn, to questions about Hurts leadership, to Byard wanting to scout instead of Desai, to Hurts changing the plays at the line too much, to AJ Brown dividing the locker room etc etc etc. Within the last month Marcus Hayes, Jeff McLane and Tim McManus all basically had hit pieces out about all the negativity in the building.

I'm not saying it's all true. But there has been a lot of reports out recently.

I wouldn't believe ish right now. I respect Kelce and Cox being professional knowing Sirianni is right upstairs fighting for his job......but I refuse to believe more than 25% of this locker room believes in Sirianni. DGunn and Seth even said yesterday they have voices on the inside that could leak stories.

It's as clear as can be, our offensive philosophy has been s*** on and laughed at by numerous creditable ex-NFL players. Some whom were even backups.

A team that really wants to keep their coach - knowing he’s on the hot seat - doesn’t come out flat 6-7 weeks in a row.  Just doesn’t happen.

What does almost every one of those situations point to?

A head coach that has completely lost control of the team.

I appreciate their perspective.  But they've also been through 4 coaching regimes.  Kelce has defended all of his coaches.  He defended Chip Kelly.  As much as we love him, he's always been a company man who won't say anything negative about the organization or coaches (and he shouldn't publicly, none of them should).

With what we've seen this year despite their frustrations, the players have blamed themselves and not the coaches and the coaches have blamed themselves.  They say the right things publicly.

Very curious if their closed door meetings with Lurie and Howie would have different thoughts about the coaches.

Yup.  As they should.  That's why they are the leaders of the team.   Meanwhile, you have Slay... who doesn't, and isn't.

I must have miss-understood your original point then because to me it sounded like you suggested there wasn't much negativity being reported.
