  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

I still can't believe we lost in the f'n wildcard round to Baker Mayfield.   I'm still salty.

Any chance with Cox probably not coming back we go DT again in round 1 ?

I could see us go DT again regardless of what happens with Fletch.  Howie loves D-lineman.

Will it be a DE?  How about Chop Robinson?  I'm no draftnik, but that dude looks big, fast, and mean.

Where do these rumors come from?  I don't see a good reason to move on from Reddick.

Fake news journalists.

I think the rumor stems from the fact the eagles have hurts on his new deal and they have guys like sweat, smith, Dickerson who need new deals and aj brown is gonna need an extension as his cap number jumps to 26 and 41 after this year. Can’t afford to keep both sweat and Reddick and pay everyone. It’s likely a decision looming on being able to afford one and not the other.

I’d bring Cox back again I thought he was good this year. I don’t want to blow another high pick on DT

It's not really a rumor. He's just saying he never asked for this to happen, not that it's not happening.

At 22 I don't think that there will be any that they would want. I wouldn't mind it after the 1st though. They could use another edge as well. The rotation really got jacked up and it showed at the end of the year.

I would bet this is how it went down. His agent went to the Eagles and said my clients is in the last year his contract and he played nice last year. Let’s get a deal done so he can finish his career with the Eagles. The Eagles said to him go see what his value is around the league (allowing his anhent to talk trade annd contract with other teams) And then come back to us then we’ll talk about the extension or whatever we are going to do.

Yup. And then his agent called up Rappoport and told him to drop it SB morning to get the most traction.

Exactly. I think teams would be willing to pay Hassan Reddick the money he wants. I think the hangup is going to be teams wanting to pay him what he wants and then give up draft compensation to the Eagles to get him. The fact he still has one year left on that contract and that they’re not gonna get the compensation they likely view for him is going to be the issue in any trade.

Based on reports he’s not getting past the jets at 10

I remember when I posted him as sleeper that we might get in the 2nd or 3rd round....

I hate when good players get discovered.

Tyler Guyton is the wildcard. No matter who is available that makes the most sense right now, Howie will always be intrigued by the proactive approach on OL.

Thats not really fun to predict though.

Ill say we go CB. The immediate need is there, and the value will be exceptional at our pick.

Im not sure exactly which ones will be there but you will likely have the choice of more than one of- Quinyon Mitchell, Terrion Arnold, Nate Wiggins, Kool-Aid McKinstry, Cooper DeJean.

Even if there isnt a choice and just 1 of them is left, any one of them presents great value at our pick and should be the guy.

Argument could be made if Verse, or Latu are still available but those seem like long shots. Not sure you take Chop Robinson, or Braswell at our pick. Chop as a PSU guy might dominate the combine. Braswell might work his way in to the conversation. But... as of right now our pick is a little early for them.

That felt nice to say, didn't it?

That’s if he wants to return. Not sure these guys trust that Fangio defense

I thought he was leaning towards retirement and just wanted to hunt and fish.

I think he should just retire as an eagle, but I guess since he played well last year he can still do it. I dont care to keep paying him. Its time to draft one in round 2 or 3 and start preparing for the potential exit of Milton Williams.

yeah. Im not giving up hope for a more exciting pick. CB or even WR since it might be a freak like Troy Franklin would be tough to pass on.

Now the Cox story looks like made up BS. It's not even referencing an article, quote or anything. There's not even a name or "per anonymous sources" attached to it.

Frankly i think cox retires. I know vikas said he heard from a family friend this was likely his last year. If he does play I’d be shocked if it’s not with the eagles.

This is my sleeper who could play RG/RT and should be there day 2 maybe 3...

I think it was from a podcast or something he was on with Cam. Cam asked him where else he’d want to play and Fletch said, with you.

My guess would be the "story" was probably just "Cox said something positive about Cam Heyward" and they shoehorned in that headline.

So Eagles told his agent they could seek trade if they want to. Reddick himself did not ask to seek a trade.

I guess, but then use the quote.

So essentially what i said. Frankly I think the eagles don’t want to give him an extension and want to move on after 2024 unless they get great compensation now.
