Edelman thinks Belichick would be a great fit here.  He's dropping some truth bombs. Says Bill has a lot of respect for Howie and it's BS that he wouldnt work with him.

Belichick remains my home run scenario, if Lurie can get over himself and deal with a strong person, its exactly what the team needs unless they want a 2 year rebuild.

Think of the youngsters on our defense under the tutelage of one of the greatest defensive coaches of all time.

Saw that as well. If that were to actually happen, then the OC would be J. McDaniels…. Failure as a head coach, but not a bad OC, but who knows, maybe that was all Brady as well.

As much as I loved McNabb as a player - he’s been wrong almost every time when talking about the Eagles post retirement. lol

I must have miss-understood your original point then because to me it sounded like you suggested there wasn't much negativity being reported.

Oh no, the exact opposite.

The thing is they had to have seen the problems while watching take. Did they tell Nick? If they did then he obviously ignored it. Did they go above him and tell Howie and Lurie or just follow the line with Nick into trash?

Can you find how many times we ran under center and the stats on those few plays?

I don't know of a free way to find this exact stat, but this has some formation statistics that can give you a general idea - https://sumersports.com/teams/offensive/formation-tendency/

You can probably assume the top 3 formations are all not under center. There's some variance for jumbo/single, but that's at minimum 94% of snaps not under center. All but probably 10 of those jumbo plays are brotherly shoves.

Number 5 will always love you!

In some games Cox and BG we're the only ones making plays. Cox was getting doubled

The young guys were MIA

Carter drew the lion's share of the doubles.

I think the old vets like Kelce, Cox, Lane, BG probably believe and respect Sirianni  as a leader. On the other hand, there’s probably a bunch of guys that don’t. I’m not sure about AJ or Jalen having the same demeanor towards Siri. There seems to be a rift between players and what they want going forward.

if they all were behind the coach / coaches, that embarrassment against the Bucs never ever happens!

Maybe in the beginning of the season

Hurts clearly doesn't

Carter didn’t impress me at all after that great start he had. He also fell off line everyone else.

I don't care how many players say they believe in Sirianni. They can believe in him all they want. Believing in him when he's scheming vertical routes against blitzes and 30 bubble screens a game doesn't mean he's worth keeping.

Cowboys players are vouching for moron Mike McCarthy. Every team does this.

I don't have a problem with listening to the players some - especially the vets.  However, on the record comments are largely meaningless in these situations.

Love him or hate him Howie is a top 5 GM

If fired, he would have multiple offers and a new job within the same day

He wouldn't have been a Brady fan. He doesn't run. I'm betting he was more of a Niners fan until Kaepernick got canned. We know he loved Terrelle Pryor. The Ravens winning the Super Bowl might be a huge win for the EMB if he just leaves her entirely and jumps on their bandwagon with both feet.

I’m not overly fond of the Ravens, but I’d pull hard for them for that reason alone.

Again, in all fairness we have to put things into perspective. His rookie year he was coached by two different DC's.....that rarely happens, rarely. No doubt his raw strength and power should show itself but unless you absolutely s*** the bed on this team like Bradberry, it's hard to judge any talented player because of the dumb coaching we had, position coaches included.

Exactly. What are they supposed to say? Yeah, Sirianni sucks and was the reason we were an embarrassment to the whole city and Fanbase.

No one is going to throw him under the bus in front of the media.

Howie is a GM of extremes.  He's got amazing moves and head scratching moves.  Offseason trades and signings usually exceptional, mid-season trades terrible, extensions terrible, drafting about average.

He's GM for life, like it or not.  The cliche "Howie has learned from his mistakes" will echo forever.  He better learn because there will never be a replacement.

Lurie ain't leaving and after this horror show of a season it is either Nick or Howie.  One or both must go.  I'm betting it is Nick.  Yes, as crazy as it sounds, I have been wrong once or twice in the past so you never know.

He needs to develop a counter to go along with the swim move, but frankly, it's hard for me to get on any of the d-lineman when the second and third levels were so inept.

I'd honestly love to hear what Nick and Brian's explanation for the offensive design could even be. How can every NFL analyst see they are letting defenses dictate to them and make no changes? What in the hell is the rationale for continuing with this?

It just feels like stubbornness. And that should get them both fired.

Nick seems like the type of boss that

wouldnt want to yank things out of his

peoples hands. Maybe speaks to

his limited experience as a HC

I don't like Ravens because I used to live in MD and would get their games instead of Eagles games. Illogical reason but 🤷‍♂️

No disrespect to the old vets (I'm older myself) but, while you would certainly ask Kelce, Cox, Graham for their opinions on Sirianni -- they're the outgoing demographic in the locker room.  The current/future nucleus of the team is Hurts, AJ Brown, Davis, Carter, Goedert, Mailata, Smith .... what they would say their relationship with Sirianni is will likely carry more weight, as Lurie/Howie's decision should be skewed a bit towards the next 2-3 years.

Howie was dealt a pretty crappy hand.  It's hard to replace TJ Edwards, Kyzir White, Hargrave, and both safeties, but he did his best.  He's not a miracle worker.
