Was going to post link to the tweet but formatting is being weird so took a screenshot instead. But this is good news for us while we look for Avonte’s eventual replacement

Im afraid of Sainristil. I know he plays tough, but I really think hes gonna be too small to play the same in the NFL.

I think certain guys like Bullard, and Abrams-Draine are gonna be better slot guys.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I know Abrams-Draine was getting some senior bowl love recently

I know there might not be anything to it, but people in Brandon Aiyuk’s circle are posting how this might have been his last season in SF. Maybe it’s apart of some sort of contract negotiation since he has one year left on his deal, maybe he’s about to request a trade. Going to be interesting to follow that over next few months

Don't they have quite a few hitting FA? I know Kinlaw is one of them

they do but not really anyone that notable, but it is a good amount of players & their cap space isn’t that great.

Mitchell is a crap shoot.  Really not enamored with this year’s CB group. In fact, I like the Ss better.  Melton, although shorter than I would like is probably a late Day 2 pick who could produce. I could see the starters as Slay and Ringo, Maddox at the nickel (his injuries tend to come from ballin’, which he does). McPhearson as first off the bench and dime.  Rodgers was suspended for a year, I believe.   Should be reinstated at beginning of March.

I like both positions quite a bit. But corner looks really good to me. The Rodgers thing wasn't quite clear, it's indefinite and it wasn't announced on when he will be back, it's just being assumed he will be back at the start of the year.

Only ones I'd be interested in is Kinlaw and possibly Darnold to backup QB1. Unless the Eagles are confident in McKee as the backup

Bit of "shorter that 6’ must be a nickel” syndrome in that valuation.   Pretty sure Sainristil and Melton played pretty much starting CB. Smith transitioned from an outside CB to a kind of Star position at GA.   Funny thing is a nickel needs to be a sound tackler and that is Sainristil’s weakness. Melton tries but needs work there too.

Their 2025 FAs is bigger. It’s greenlaw, Armstead, Ward, Hufanga, aiyuk, lenoir and purdy is entering the last year of his contract.

Marlon T and a 5th for Hufanga

I really want Jacoby Brissett as our backup QB. I think he’d be very helpful to Hurts & McKee in the QB room.

Yeah it’s about to get rough for them. Last year & this year were their best two shots at winning it all, they still have a shot next year but after that it will be very hard especially with ascending teams like Detroit & GB. Entering the 2025 season not only do they have to pay all those guys, but Trent will be on verge of retirement, Deebo will be 29, Kittle will be like 32 halfway thru the 2025 season, & CMC will be 29 with that looming massive drop off in play we see with older RB + is high usage rate.

Think they missed their shot. With their physical style play I can't see them getting through next year unscathed again. Greenlaw coming of an Achilles. Safety coming off of ACL. Kittle, Deebo, Bolsa, CMC coming off of a broken heart.

Apparently He has reported everything that happened and subsequent threats to the NFL back in December

NFL isn’t going to do anything but it shows he has some growing to do, still.

The Eagles just aren't allowed to have nice things I guess.

Does Carter get suspended games next season for this?

I don’t think he will. But like LMG said he’s gonna have to grow up a bit if this is all true

Happy Mardi Gras.  As always, I suggest giving up lint for Lent.
