I dunno, the poop map would be a big factor in me wanting to leave SF too.

MAP: All locations where human waste has been reported in San Francisco

The guy gave up TDs in college because he gets picked on in the red zone.  I'm not making a sweeping generalization. I'm speaking about him in particular.

I wouldn't be surprised if a team still plays him outside.  That's where the vast majority of his snaps were. But he will probably be better suited in the slot.

Is he quick with good mirroring skills.  Need that to play the slot.

I think just getting rid of Byard gets us up to $33M all by itself.  I read someone saying we'll have about $40M in cap space?

Yup.  $13M in savings.   Such a great trade that was.   Not better than the Robert Quinn trade, but close.

As opposed to Deebo Samuel?   He's just doing what his mentor taught him to do.

That entire team is full of that type of person.

Aiyuk is awesome and I hope he goes to an AFC team.

He absolutely smoked Sneed for what should have been an easy TD in OT, but the Niners decided they didn’t need to block Chris Jones.

It was as if we traded picks for the 13 mil in cap space

What a brilliant orator; he's got a future after football as a motivational speaker, or giving lectures.

He's one of the best examples of how important it is where you land in the draft; Shenault was a better prospect but ended up on two crappy teams with bad coaches, while Aiyuk landed in SF with Shanahan.

Yeah!! Give 'em hell Aiyuk!

Not at all.  They traded a guy on a one year deal and the picks... and took on extra salary with Byard.  This would be the opposite of that.    For some reason though, otc shows the Eagles owing $1.3M on the cap still in dead money - I assume for the prorated signing bonus... but that should be counted against the Titans, I would think.    Spotrac shows $700K in dead for Byard if he's cut.  Same line of thinking there, but it doesn't make sense to me why there would be ANY dead with him after acquiring him via trade.  The signing bonus money should have been counted against the Titans' cap, not transferred to the Eagles.

I think Spags is in the thick of the next HC cycle. If Quinn can be a re-tread hire, so can Spags

I do love how the 49ers are imploding after the super bowl.   As for the Commanders, we can count on them to screw this up somehow.

Eagles restructured his contract after the trade. And added dummy years.

I missed that.   Thank you.

So, he restructured with the Titans first in 2023... and then again with the Eagles?

Yea, he took a small pay cut with the Titans. Then when he was traded to the Eagles, Howie took whatever was left on his base and gave it to him as a bonus and spread it out over dummy years because they needed that whopping $770k in cap space.

I wonder if teams want to go after him for HC at 64. Quinn is 53. I don’t disagree with your if Quinn can be a re-tread hire then he should too. Cause frankly he’s done a more impressive job getting that defense to where it’s at with how many new pieces they added via draft in 2022 and they were a top 3 defense this year.

Didn't realize he was that old. He looks good for 64

Spotrac thinks DeAndre Swift's market value is $6.7M per -- 4 years and $27M total.  OTC has a 2023 valuation on him at $5.7M.

I'm inclined to think Howie isn't going to want to offer him a contract in that salary range; if he's not brought back, who do folks think would be a good investment at RB?  I mentioned Antonio Gibson the other day -- his estimated market value is $3.6M per.

Todd Pinkston got a ring on Sunday. (RB coach).

Yes, and that's the weirdest thing ever.   Exactly what does Pinkston know about RUNNING with the ball?  Or blitz pickups?  Or... just wow!
