He needs to develop a counter to go along with the swim move, but frankly, it's hard for me to get on any of the d-lineman when the second and third levels were so inept.

He of course get’s the benefit of the doubt with all the crap that went on and because he was a rookie. Just thought he didn’t flash as much later on, even before we got constantly hammered.

Keep in mind Howie’s first task when he became GM was dumping Mcnabb

Maybe in the beginning of the season

Carter was getting doubled in the TB game as well.  If you will remember that play when he was talking ish to White, he was doubled teamed and still managed to get White down albeit 4 or 5 yards downfield.

Howie was dealt a pretty crappy hand.  It's hard to replace TJ Edwards, Kyzir White, Hargrave, and both safeties, but he did his best.  He's not a miracle worker.

He let them walk, then he signed dreck to replace them.

I think the old vets like Kelce, Cox, Lane, BG probably believe and respect Sirianni  as a leader. On the other hand, there’s probably a bunch of guys that don’t. I’m not sure about AJ or Jalen having the same demeanor towards Siri. There seems to be a rift between players and what they want going forward.

if they all were behind the coach / coaches, that embarrassment against the Bucs never ever happens!

I think the young guys, predominantly who came here after being coached by Saban and Smart, two of the arguably greatest college coaches of all time, may not like Sirianni's soft approach.

Ummm...he's the dealer in that scenario.

Not bringing Edwards back was a big mistake.  He has himself to blame on that one.

He creates his own messes and then has to fix them

That dude does not look like an NFL linebacker.

If only there was a coach out there who could get the most out of all of our young high level defensive draft picks, if only that coach also had experience dealing with strong personalities at the WR position, running offenses with 17 different TEs, and employed small shifty WRs, and had years of experience putting together intelligent game plans and innovative schemes.....and imagine this person having multiple SB wins under their belt.  It would be crazy if someone like that was literally one phone call away.

Love him or hate him Howie is a top 5 GM

If fired, he would have multiple offers and a new job within the same day

He would need to turn his cell phone off. (It would be ringing off the hook)

He's.... He's not wrong on Howie.

Nick needs to go too though.

Remember during the 2017 season when fans and players were comparing the team to Pats saying that Pats were more robotic

Fun times

Needs to hit the gym hard in the offseason.   Figure out a way to put on about 15-20 lbs of muscle.

Or... hear me out.... instead of locking up money in old corners, keep good players at reasonable contracts like Edwards.

No disrespect to the old vets (I'm older myself) but, while you would certainly ask Kelce, Cox, Graham for their opinions on Sirianni -- they're the outgoing demographic in the locker room.  The current/future nucleus of the team is Hurts, AJ Brown, Davis, Carter, Goedert, Mailata, Smith .... what they would say their relationship with Sirianni is will likely carry more weight, as Lurie/Howie's decision should be skewed a bit towards the next 2-3 years.

Agreed. I just think that the rift between those two sides "old vets / young guns” was part of the problem in the locker room. It’s just my feeling and opinion, but the vets tried to save the sinking ship but the younger guys didn’t really give a damn. I just don’t know if the good culture that the Eagles locker room was known for is going to be the same going forward.

Those guys we will be losing did more that just play on the field. They developed a good culture/atmosphere and that seems to be gone.
And that’s another reason I think Lurie needs to do something drastic and fire Nick, at the least. 🤷

I have no idea where you're going with this, but there's been bad reports out there. From annoymous players complaining about the offense to DGunn, to questions about Hurts leadership, to Byard wanting to scout instead of Desai, to Hurts changing the plays at the line too much, to AJ Brown dividing the locker room etc etc etc. Within the last month Marcus Hayes, Jeff McLane and Tim McManus all basically had hit pieces out about all the negativity in the building.

I'm not saying it's all true. But there has been a lot of reports out recently.

The bit we fairly miss, is who was the leaker and for what purpose. It's possible a coach is ****ing about Hurts constantly changing plays - just as they did with Wentz - because he may not read the D correctly. Or the HC is frustrated that the FO are meddling in the background and won't leave them be.

.   I wonder who dealt Howie that hand.  🤔

Oh, that's right... HOWIE did!  :nonono:   Howie didn't have to replace them all.  Howie CHOSE to try to replace them all.  And, quite frankly, he chose poorly.

Obviously, if Howie had a time machine, he would go back and sign Edwards and CjGj instead of Bradberry.  Bradberry fell of a cliff after a pretty good year last year.

Howie earned the right to F up, let’s see his fix

Yep. I'm not sure he has the physical tools to succeed in the NFL. And there's not really any other position you could put him at.

The word "soft” definitely describes this year’s team, especially on defense. Only the Dolphins seem softer.

Yeah no one saw Bradberry’s drop coming.  Looks like he never recovered from his injuries.
