  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

The latest "offseason champion" that got overhyped and have disappointed. Dodgers up next. Gonna be beautiful to see them miss the playoffs.

Ha... he has the Gillie Hat :)

Jimmy G wouldn't be a bad idea as a backup. Keep in mind, players released don't count against the comp formula. Another reason bringing in Eddie Jackson isn't a bad idea either.

I then see them bringing in a guy like Geno Stone, Brandon Jones, Julian Blackmon or Jordan Whitehead with the the hopes they take a big step hitting their prime rather than the big splash in Winfield, McKinney or Chinn and then a top safety in the draft.

My ideal safety situation is an up and coming young safety to pair with Eddie Jackson  pushing Blankenship to a better fit as a package safety rather than a starter with a rookie with high end starter potential as depth and Sydney Brown on PUP to start the season.

S1- Jackson S2- FA

Backups- Blankenship/draft pick

PUP- Jones

He's learning quotes from Hurts already.

And that big hat trend is so dumb.

Yep.  He looks like a toddler trying on Daddy's hat.

Also, I forgot we had this guy.

If we are going for one game only I’d likely go

foles $1

brown $4

smith $2

ertz $4

westbrook $3

if we are talking about long term the

hurts $3

brown $4

barnett $1

Westbrook $3

Ertz $4

Hurts

Brown

Smith

Van Buren

Ertz

Basically our offense now with a HoF powerback and an All-Pro TE who catches everything

Foles, Desean, AJ Brown, Westbrook, Goedert.

Westbrook and Goedert are the best value on that list.

Smash is a euphimism for making love to an individual.  Lamar is asking if Marlon meant to say he wants to make love to the other gentleman in the picture.

Dudes smashing dudes on the Ravens?

Odell Beckham probably has something to do with it.

Nah they won't miss the playoffs.

Choke in the playoffs?  Probably.

Lol will never not blow my mind that some people who watched both think that prime Shady was better than prime Westbrook. Insane.

That's a fun conversation to have. I think both have an argument as to who was better.

It’s worth remembering that many in here were calling for his head about a year ago.

Westbrook’s prime was much shorter. The Eagles basically beat him to death for three straight years and he was done. As a runner McCoy was as good or better but as for the rest of his game. Westbrook was way better. Great receiver, punt returner, and probably the best blitz blocker we ever had.

Some Phils news

https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/phillies-whit-merrifield-inks-deal-with-philly/

CBS had him rated as 20th best FA in this class -

It wasn’t all that long ago that Merrifield ranked among the annual AL leaders in hits, and while those days might be behind him, he remains a very useful player. Merrifield -- a three-time All-Star since 2019 -- can play all over the field and hit 11 home runs with 67 RBIs and 26 stolen bases in 2023, ranking in the top 20 percent of the league in strikeout percentage and sprint speed.

LSU has a safety named Major Burns.  I'm amused by that for a number of reasons.

Total fail without keith Jackson at TE

Could have secondary of Major Burns and Kool Aid

That feels like a SB DB group to me.

Jackson is pretty washed. If he’s signed he’s probably going to start so if they sign him that’s a pretty bad sign for things to come. They need to actually fix this back 7 and stop using half measure moves to try and patch it together. Jackson would just be Byard redux. Go out, pay money to get someone good, and actually fix it.
