He is rated 8th at yards after contact , just under 4

his minuses would be injury history

good receiver , good speed/quicks evident by the way he gets outside  .

Lloyd is solid but seems to be rated about right. Solid and unspectacular.

Saw a rumor that has us going after Henry.

I'll be (potentially) the first to say....no thanks.

Really expect his decline to be drastic and abrupt whenever it happens. Which will probably be next year if we sign him.

IF he was willing to come in as a short yardage back on his last legs I wouldnt be against it but he should still be looking for a starting job somewhere.

Good for Nelson

Moorehead hasn't developed a single WR since he was here. Closest "W" you can give him is Watkins. I don't want to hear Devonta, who was arguably the most polished WR to come out the draft since Larry Fitzgerald. He didn't develop Reagor. Hightower busted. Covey developed as a ST player (Michael Clay!) but not at WR.

lol. John Hightower the 5th round bust. Quez Watkins the 6th rounder. And Reagor the bum many of us called out and is a 1st rounder on his 3rd team in before his rookie contract expires. He sucks because he can’t develop day 3 straight line speed guys from the vaunted powerhouses of Boise State and TCU.

I'm hesitant on CJ Stroud only because it was 1 year. Let's see if that was a flash in the pan or if he's the real deal and improves off of his rookie year. Hurts was all-world in 2022 and we saw him come back down to reality in 2023. Stroud is good, no doubt. But can he continue improving and become a top 3-5 QB year in and year out?

I just think he process the game very quickly and has amazing anticipation. When things aren’t open he’s not afraid to get rid of it, or can throw his guy open trusting he’ll be at a certain spot at a specific time, even when pressured. Idk if he’s better than Jalen today, but I’d consider a trade, weighing salaries, age, skill set, injury history etc.

On the contract he's gonna want, hell no. In a fantasy world I'd easily bring him in on a 2 year $3m contract and pair him with a speedy rookie

The controversy over the Ertz TD still baffles me. Al Michaels just said he hopes they change the catch rule before the end of the game. What an absolute pointless conversation and argument they were having during the game. It's 100% a clear TD. My goodness.

right? Even if you want to argue thats not a td its not like the jessie james catch

He got the ball at the 6 meaning he advanced the ball somehow. The fumble is irrelevant since estatblished and maintained control before crossing the goal line.

Hyperbole much? Top ten yes, top five maybe, top two? Got to string together multiple top seasons.

Hurts is still learning how to play QB, he's not good throwing on the run, something he has to fix. Has to get faster at going through his progressions.

On the other hand, he should be much better with Moore at OC, especially if they add a block who can pick up blitzes and give him outlets other than going 4 deep. And use motion, etc. so he can make pre-snap reads. The RPO should be delegated to a "trick play," we saw this with Foles and now with Hurts, you can take teams by surprise for one season, then they study film and figure out how to shut it down.

That's rather disappointing for a guy who has played QB ever since he started to play, had a coach for a father, was a starter as a freshman at Alabama, and has now been in the NFL for 4 years (3 full years as a starter).   When is he on pace to have it figured out?

I am hoping that Moore will help the staleness of the offense and offer it some life, but Hurts needs to figure out the QB position already.

Hurts hasn't played in a true pro system outside an early stretch in "Bama," Last year was probably the most he played out of the pocket, but the OC made no adjustments when teams started throwing zero blitzes and he didn't have a back who was good at blitz pickup - no QB is going to look good in that situation.

They need a more conventional passing offense with motion, etc., check down options, more route variety.

Hurts had one of the highest ratings throwing contested throws (i.e. DB within 3 feet of the receiver or so) - problem was most of his throws were contested - if he could have played his defense he'd probably have been MVP!

At some point, everyone has to acknowledge that there is a reason Hurts hasn’t played in a true pro system.

He has played for multiple, multiple coaches who typically run "true pro systems.”

Perhaps coaches just do not think that type of passing is suited for him….or, more aptly, that he is suited for it.

No. That’s the guy the Eagles brought in for 2020

Brock Bowers fell to 22

Cool. Now explain why we get flagged constantly on pick plays. Why do the WR’s all suck on scramble drills. Why are the WRs not able to substitute properly or run to the same part of the field all of the time. Better yet, name one thing that actually improved since he’s been here.

He’s going on year 5 of being the same position coach with no hint of a promotion or outside interviews. Why is that?

I wouldn’t blame the position coach for almost all of that. I’m not sure you know how football works based on hire you value or devalue a position coach.

Having OPI’s might have to do with the high volume of WR screens and attempted rub routes to scheme people open instead of actually using route combinations to attack certain defenses. I couldn’t find a measurable start to prove or disprove this theory you have that we’re "constantly” flagged.

Scramble Drills are busted/broken plays we’d have to watch the tape to truly breakdown this theory. A scrambling QB is unpredictable and if he’s pressure is away from route progression, it’s not as simple as just becoming open. We win games because of their ability to adjust in these situations. Check the Bills game and so many situations in 2022-2023. Maybe you have a clouded memory of the offense liking so poor this previous season, and compounded and letting certain things there overflow and cloud your judgment.

We’d also have to check on "WRs not being able to sub properly” I’m not sure how you’re defining this or proving that it’s an anomaly specifically for the Eagles WRs, and why that would be the WR coach’s fault.

"Running to the same part of the field all of the time” well in 2 of the seasons under Siri the eagles have had the lowest targets to the middle of the field, and have some a horrible job utilizing the spacing of the field. So having a high passing plays that are often to the least spacious part of the field could contribute to feeling congested. Also, again no way to really prove this is a Philly specific issue regarding their WR coach.

If we want to blame every issue we can blame WRs for, we have to also do the opposite, no matter how lazy the argument.

In back to back seasons we have 2 WRs over 1k yards.

A.J Brown has had the most yards of his career in the past two seasons under this coach.

He was personally responsible for AJ Brown having games in a row over 125 yards receiving in each game.

I think we’d all agree the offensive play design and calling this past season was horrendous, embarrassing, and elementary. Yet we had a top 5 and top 20 receiving yards player in the NFL.

Eagles were tied for the 3rd least amount of dropped passes in the NFL.

The Eagles WRs have also made incredible catches with high degree of difficulty.

Eagles WRs have an unselfish willingness to block and are asked to do so heavily because they’re so good at it. Eagles WR group is so good under this coach, that we refuse to run the ball consistent and ignore the HB in the passing game lol.
