Does he?  What did he make at LB and S last year?    It wasn't chicken salad.

What he does with it can sometimes be questioned. But he stretches a dollar farther than anyone.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Obviously.   Your argument was that the team made the decision to keep him around.  So, he must be good.   That's a terrible argument.

My argument is that the team "knows" more about his importance to the team than you or I. Why do you want him fired/replaced? Is there somebody available that has done more with less and that wants to come to the Eagles to be a WR coach?

Honestly, it's just dumb to complain about one of the coaches whose responsibility had good results last season. There were problem areas on the team that deserve more criticism. The tackling was awful, sacks were down, the QB play was worse, the DB play was worse, yet here we are complaining about the coach of the most consistent position group over the last 2 seasons.

One thing in regards to Reddick, when the Eagles did the same tactic with Slay and Cox, those deals came together quickly. Slay was 24 hours, Cox was similar, maybe 48 hours. Reddick has been a week now with no new update.

Not sure if it means anything one way or the other besides this is a little bit more trickier than other times. I think we’ll hear more once the combine starts next week.

No hurry on this. While teams can discuss trades, nothing can be formally accepted until 3/13, same day free agency starts.  Reddick is under contract.  Other teams might want to see what some of the OLB UFAs want during the legal tampering period.

He screwed up with the LBs for sure. Probably a side effect from re-signing the CBs with eyes on the future with Hurts contract and the extensions to come. He went cheap on LB, Safety, and RB probably thinking this year would be kind of a reload year. Blew up in his face with the hot start despite the personnel losses and inexperienced coordinators. Hence the in season panic and scrambling to fill the gaps but it was too late by then.

He's not Cris Carter, but the myth that he drops tons of passes is something I don't understand why people choose to believe. 4 seasons, 6 career drops.

He's not Devonta Smith, but he does run good routes. I don't care for how the Eagles chose to use him and I think he's more valuable as a backup to Smith and Brown on the outside than as a slot WR. But not many teams have a Smith and Brown as their top 2 WRs. I can see him going to a team that needs a WR and being productive as a #2. Again, it's JMO --- come back to me after 2024 if I'm wrong. I don't believe he's "elite." I do think he can produce in a starting role on the outside, as shown in 2021.

That's just BS. He blocked as well as Smith and Brown. He actually had one of the highest blocking grades of our WRs.

All he can do is run fast in straight line

That seems to work for Metcalf.

Good luck cutting Greenlaw with that Achilles tear. He'd have to be cleared by early September or his entire 2024 contract is guaranteed. Not only would the locker room hate it, but they'd get an NFLPA grievance.

Apparently a Reddick extension would save 11.4m on this year's cap.

Not saying there should be a hurry. Just the fact that it isn’t implies what Reddick wants isn’t close to what Howie wants.

They realized in training camp LB was a disaster; that’s why they brought in both Cunningham and Myles Jack on August 6.  Must have watched Morrow and thought "Yikes”, and it probably didn’t speak all that well for Nakobe Dean, either, who was penned in as a starting LB on the roster.

You cannot seriously be comparing Quez Fing Watkins to Cris Carter and DK Metcalf LMFAO. There's no point in discussing if that's the route you're gonna go.

Quez has come up small in almost every big moment he's been in with this team. He is what he always has been, a 6th round talent whose only ability is straight line speed. He'll never be a good #2

It’s not a no brainer to pay an undersized speed EDGE $25M per year for their 31, 32 and 33 year seasons.

A restructure with a bump is much more preferable, imo.

Does Kellen Moore use a fullback at all? I'm thinking he doesn't but man I'd love to get a good fullback on this team and Kyle Juszczyk has been one of my favorite non-Eagles for some time.

Will Shipley is an interesting character as a multi-purpose RB.  Looks like he’s got very good hands, can run a bit between the tackles and, being a white RB, he should be available in the 5th round.

They’ve scored 150+ since the 70s lmao. Idk why people are so shocked. Like what defense are you going to run versus the best offensive players in the association? There’s no team defense to be coached. You’re not running offensive sets lol. It’s playground basketball with guys who have the 2nd half of the season to be ready for.

Any All-Star team from the last 24 year would dog walk any other combination of teams before them if it was true competition lol. These dudes play year round from like 5 years old. Their offensive bag is way deeper than anything we saw in the 80s and mid 90s. It’s expected they’ll score more you have dudes hitting half court shots like it’s nothing. What’re you gonna do a full court press? Lol

The association is already implementing terrible 65 game minimums rules for awards which aren’t necessary. Dudes want it to be the 80s and 90s so bad, when there were 4 guys in the league playing against a bunch of bums would could shoot or dribble with their left hand lol

And no defense wasn’t better then, they just had less space becusse everyone sat in the paint with 2 ogres waiting to contest drives. Shooting opened up the floor and eliminated any chance you have at defense being great.

I looked it up.

From 1951 to 2013 there have been eight times a team has scored 150+.  2 of those were OT games and barely eclipsed 150.  That's not very many.

Now since 2014 its been 150, 160, 170 and now scoring 200+.  You can't honestly watch the game and tell me it's good.  It's awful.

Nobody is shocked by the scores.  Fans don't like it because it's a glorified layup line and chucking up mostly uncontested 3's.  Nobody wants to watch that except maybe 12 year olds that don't know anything about basketball yet.

And why can't players play defense against each other?  They are the best in the world and highly skilled so why can't they guard each other.  They used to in previous games.  Nobody is saying to play 100% lock down defense but what they do now is embarrassing.

I guarantee if there isn't drastic change it will be gone just like the Pro Bowl.

I have to ask ... can you even read? I swear if you so much as mention a name on this board when discussing a certain player, people act like you are equating the players. Even though my post was in no way a "comparison," it is not against the law to "compare" any two players if a person chooses. News flash: Cris Carter and DK Metcalf are not gods. They're just successful football players.

You mean the 2 seasons where Quez played the slot in Sirianni's offense that goes through Brown, Smith and Goedert? I saw every play of every game.

You might not have compared him to Carter but you said straight line speed "works for DK Metcalf". If you didn't want that comparison to be made, rephrase your statement because that's what you did. What your statement says is, "Metcalf has straight line speed so Quez can do just as well". Idiotic statement to make if you didn't want a comparison to be made. Quez doesn't belong in the same breath as either of the 3 dudes you mentioned. They're not gods, but they're 100x better than quez will ever be at football.

But that's all I'm going to say, there's no point arguing with dude who thinks Quez Watkins can be a legitimate #2 receiver. Maybe he can make it as a #2 on the panthers or bears where there's no one else

I really don't care for Greenlaw as a person, but he's a hell of a talent. He's out most of this coming season anyway.

Anywhere but Dallas or staying in SF I'm cool with

We've been through all those other topics.

Massive changes to the defensive coaching staff now, no point in going on about the tackling.

Sacks were down.  New DC in place with a new scheme, or more exactly the original scheme that they were trying to copy.

QB play has been discussed, and we have a new OC, new QB coach.  No point going on about that.

DB play was awful.  See above, new DC, new defensive coaches.

But Moorehead was just brought back officially, so he's the current topic because of the way the current events have broken.

And you want to say that the WR was consistent over the past two years?  AJ Brown wasn't even consistent over the last 1 season.  He had a massive 6 games and then virtually disappeared over the second half of the year, and had his little media boycott before coming out with the confession that he and Hurts drew up a play against what was called that ended in an INT to seal a loss.   That's "consistency"?

Not only that but Juszczyk's wife made a Chief's jacket for Taylor Swift from a TK jersey, so if he is cut the Swifties will boycott the 49ers.

He puts other guys in that position occasionally but not a true FB.

Yep.  I'm kinda surprised theres not more buzz about him with people calling him the next Christian McCaffrey.
