The longer we go without a Sirianni presser, the less likely he is to return, imo.

You don't remember the presser Howie and Doug did together about how Wentz was for sure coming back .... then Howie was the only one left between two empty chairs?  I don't think a presser would mean anything.

The most pressure surrounding Jordan Davis is the button on his pants. Eat a damn salad, kid.

Why don't they just ask Jordan Davis about Sirianni since he's spilling beans so easily .....

I wouldn't bet on Jordan Davis spilling beans, anytime ever.

They won’t let him have a press conference if they intend to let him go.

Ditto.

i’ve been saying all year they were never getting back to the Super Bowl. From losing the amount of guys they did in the offseason to losing both coordinators to the offseason decisions howie made to It is too hard after you lose a Super Bowl the following year to get yourself back there. frankly there’s a reason since the salary cap was implemented that the only team that did it was the patriots with Tom Brady. I don’t think you’re going to see a team that loses the Super Bowl get back the following year for awhile long time. It is really hard. It’s why i didn’t like extending bradberry and slay as they were older and likely hurt your ability to maneuver in 2024. Was fine with one not both. And i also thought it was idiotic they let white and Edwards go. CJGJ they should’ve locked up way before it got to the point it did. They just didn’t want to mess with chemistry doing it in season. Frankly i don’t think it would’ve

Hard to say.  Lurie waited 8 days to fire Doug.

The other coaches he fired, he did so the following Monday (Black Monday), except of course Chip who was fired before the final game.

He should have been prepared for this watching the collapse over the last 7 weeks.  He shouldn't even need to hear Siri's plan to fix it since he talked all season about "the standard" and had all that time to fix it and didn't.  The one change he made - Patricia for Desai - made things worse.

If Siri could fix it, he would have.

I think Cox might actually retire. He's pretty reserved, so hard to get a good read on him, but he has plenty of outside interests and never gave off the always keep playing vibe a Jason Peters or even Brandon Graham did.

Now that we know DE is going to be a big need for us in the near future, bringing BG back for one more year isn't that bad an idea.

Fletch though is most likely gone.  Davis and Carter were drafted for this very reason.

I love BG and I think he should be back.  But he's just a part-time rotational player.  Regardless, they still need a full-time starting DE.  Add that and a real actual NFL LB (or 2) and things get easier.

Is Davis claiming to be a team leader?  Dude needs to get himself in shape first.

yeah , i don't know why guys in the NFL don't see that their body is the tool of the trade and dedicate their off season to getting the cardio in and getting or staying in shape. they can still vacation and do family and friends hang outs without letting them selves go til camp.

He’s throwing me off with he still feels like he can play though. Frankly he was our most consistent DT this year. I thought he was done two years ago and he actually has been solid to good the last two years

I think he didn’t want to give away that type of assets for siakam who said he wants to be a FA and see what’s out there at the end of the season. So Indy basically got a rental as he’s likely going to leave. Sixers can’t afford to give up 3 firsts for him to just bounce

Oh I agree. If anything I think they would’ve pursued OG from Toronto. Just using this news as an opportunity to point out Morey being quiet. I wouldn’t offer anything close to what the Pacers did.

Id like someone like Dejounte Murray from Hawks.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a media gig or two lined up.

They do, it's just when the season starts and all the other things start to happen that they become less dedicated to the conditioning. Davis was noticeably slimmer when TC started, and gained it back and maybe more by December.

Tbh i rather get markkanen from utah who’s been made available. But problem is i don't think the sixers have the capital to get it done. And if they did i think there’s other teams with the capital and just better assets.

Could be an ego thing. Yea, he can still play, but does he want to?

Let's hope it is an issue of maturity and not some sort of pathology.

Yeah we just need bodies there at this point.  DE's are going to get a bag in free agency though, I hope Howie can move quick before the numbers start spiraling out of control

I’d be okay finding a bench scorer and a backup C with rim protection and rebounding. Team is playing great, some good role players, could just use someone to give us a cool 12-15 off the bench and someone who’s a presence in the interior off the bench.

Could also see him and kelce wanting to go out together. Been through it all together.
