Dude probably doesn't know anything

I don’t even know who that is so probably.

If he knows the "real" reason, and won't say it, it's because it doesn't exist.

That type of info can make his career.

Ran Carthon is claiming he knows what broke the Eagles locker room last year and that it involves a "high profile player" that he said may or may not be on the team next year. He wouldn't say what it was, so it's probably BS, but he seemed to be implying it had to do with someone smashing someone else's girl.

Why did Fletch have to do Sean Desai LIKE THAT???

Wait, no. I knew that didn't sound right. Craig Carton

"I can tell you that it is a problem that would splinter any group of men. Any group of men. It is a real, significant problem and it cannot be fixed… I’m not gonna tell you any more than that. But I know what the problem was, I know they’re trying to fix it. And I don’t think it can be fixed. So it will be very interesting to see if a high-profile player is no longer with the Eagles going into this season.”

Some users on reddit are talking about a rumor that it was a fight between Hurts and Slay. But it's based on some random caller into WIP.  The rumor says that Hurts fought with Slay in the locker room because Slay was leaving the team in the regular season to get surgery, Hurts felt he was quitting on the team. They say Hurts beat him up.

If someone slept with another players’ girl then they need to go no matter who it is. That said, the dude who is pushing this story is a POS who hates Philly these days.

A long time ago, he came to Philly on WIP.   Then he left and went to somewhere and ended up in NYC, I think.   Got in big trouble for some stuff.  Got out of jail, and came back.

Basically, he's no one of consequence, and not connected like he's trying to suggest.    That said... what he's saying is possible.  It has happened before.

Howie's not going anywhere

Slay did sort of quit on the team... and it coincided with the ascension of Patricia to the DC role (if not the actual title).  And, I think Hurts could beat up Slay.

This sort of thing happened with Hugh Douglas and T.O. back in 2005, didn't it?

That said... I'm not buying these rumors.

Fair game unless they're married. Unless it's Slays wife. Last man standing gets to slay her V

Why would you think that?

It's almost like Hurts is fine throwing on the run, to either side, as long as there's actually a receiver to throw to. There are clips there that require arm strength, touch and accuracy. He throws on both sides of the field too.

Outside of the 1st throw, what are you trying to illustrate here?

He keeps his eyes up.  He's looking but so often all there is to see are defenders.  Poor take, I think.  Now, moving properly in the pocket and not bailing out when he can step up, he does need to improve.

Game tape says otherwise…but okk

I wouldnt say he cant. Id say he doesnt. I think RLC just found every single example of him doing so over the entire season. Far too few. Every time he breaks the pocket its pretty much guaranteed a dead play at that point.

It’s ok to admit he’s not Herbert, Allen, mahomes, etc that can throw without planting.  It’s not a curse…but something that needs to be acknowledged.

That would be the biggest shock of them all

If anyone slept with anyone’s wife on the team it’s 100% Jason Kelce

No one is saying he's Herbert, Allen, Mahomes. He's not Stafford either. But he can throw on the run.

The issues with him throwing outside of the pocket is on the WRs/offense, not his arm talent. Where are these clips of him missing open WRs while throwing on the run?

It’s all Matt Leo and his stupid sexy thongs fault

I’ve been watching more of Ja’Tavion Sanders TE out of Texas, I would be very fine with Eagles taking him with one of their 2nd round picks. I know the "draft for immediate impact crowd” & "draft CB/LB crowd” would hate the pick, especially if Eagles grab an OT in the 1st, and trust me I get it, but man do I think he’s going to be good in the league.

I also really like Edgerrin Cooper LB Texas A&M & the OT out of Yale. It’s still super early, but this trio is what I’m hoping for on Day 2 for us at the moment.

I love this excuse.   Yes, Hurts was told to 'protect' himself, and yet had just 8 fewer carries than the year before.  And still averaged 9 carries a game.  Some protection.

You are scouting by the aggregate though.  Yes, the overall NUMBERS appear the same.   What about how they looked during games?   3rd down conversions were way down.  Sacks were way up.   He locked in way too much.   He ignored the middle of the field again.

What about how his "runs" looked in games in 2023?

He was not doing that in 2022. Are you going to still sit here and argue he wasn't protecting himself?

Hurts averaged 9 yards a game because Brian Johnson loved calling QB draws on 3rd and 5-6.

He threw to the same 3 guys every time. Predictable

I don't necessarily believe this NY bald headed loser whatever his name is.

But I do think something happened to the team during the season that caused a divide.

I don't buy the whole "we just didn't play well or we just didn't execute and thats why we didn't play well this year".
