I would like him but he might price out. He got $10M for one year last year.

I’d rather take a QB in the 2nd w/ some upside, then spend $ on Brisset that could be used to sure up LB/S, etc.

Travis, Rattler?

I agree

Im not really sure how 1 player sleeping with anothers gf or wife ruins a team. It seems like a beef between 2 guys. Not a whole team. And maybe some other guys lose respect for the homewrecker but I think you can go about your business in that event.

It really doesnt make much sense.

its almost as if the guy implies half of the team sided with the home wrecker and were like YEAH! He should have boinked your wife! And then the other half of the team disagreed, and so then they just couldnt play any football anymore.

It really seems far out there.

The USC offense was so bad, you could talk me into him being Mahomes (just like Patrick, he had Kliff on the staff and it made him worse) or Jeff George (all the tools, none of the head).

I'm sure they don't want him to get hurt, but to no one's surprise he was hurt again this season. Seems to be an ongoing thing for him.

Do you mean like every other QB? Hurts had a bruised knee which was believed to have happened on this play:

He later got hit on the area on this play:

... and here he dislocated his finger:

Hurts had missed a total of 5 snaps on the season before the starters were pulled from the final game. If that's an "ongoing" health issue, I hope it continues.

Drake Maye is the best QB in this draft.  Someone has to jump on the "Caleb Williams" landmine, though.

I'm reading all this talk about the team needs on defense - and they're all true.  But for my money, the one single move the Eagles need to make this offseason is to sign a monster stud RG ala Brandon Brooks.  The offense reached elite status when he was at full strength.  The team never was able to replace Isaac Seumalo either.

I'd run the other way too

He's had at least one injury every season of his career as a starter, yes or no?

Was this the first time he played a full season, yes or no?

Was this the second consecutive year he's had an injury going into the playoffs, yes or no?

Would that qualify as ongoing, yes or no?

Dude. It’s Craig Carton. A convicted felon who served real jail time for running a fraudulent ticket operation. He has less than zero credibility.

Not to mention, logically, he likely doesn't have direct friends on the team as he never really talks about anything with the team, so he would have heard it second hand which means there's a group of people who know and are keeping it secret and succeeding....in this day and age....I doubt it. If they would tell him, they would tell a real reporter or leak it somewhere else.

It’s hilarious watching people have a such a crazy discourse over the top pick & what Bears should do. Caleb Williams might not be a perfect prospect, but all of the logic says take him & move on from Fields. Especially if you can get a late 1st or early 2nd for Fields.

like why is this even a discussion really.

It's a discussion because Jayden Daniels is the best QB prospect in this draft -- if his body can take the punishment (Big if).  I'm not even a proponent of "dual threat" QBs, per se ...   but have you seen that guy run?? To me he resembles Lamar Jackson but with a better arm.  I'm worried about his build being somewhat slender, but Lamar isn't exactly a tank either.

If Chicago was smart -- of course they aren't -- they would keep the Commanders on speed dial and put out there immediately prior to the draft that they're getting calls on the #1 pick.  See how badly Washington wants Williams; with him being a DC guy, they might give you multiple picks just to swap 1 and 2.  WAS takes Caleb Williams and CHI takes Daniels -- or Maye, if that's their choice.

No way do the Bears get a 1st round pick for Fields; nobody is that dumb or desperate.  You do, however, have to ACT like you want to keep him in order to try to convince a team he's worth a 2nd round pick.  The Steelers might be stupid/desperate enough to give a 2nd round pick for Fields.  I would put Fields' current trade value at a 3rd round pick.

Historical precedent for highly touted USC QB's isn't great, Leinart, Darnold and Sanchez all had the over 30 TD's less than 15 picks at a 160+ passer rating seasons and were all busts. I thought Leinart had a hell of a shot when he came out and yet he never looked like making it. Sanchez was carried by Rex Ryan's defense for 2 years and was then exposed, Darnold is horrible. Matt Barkley had a 30/15/160+ season too and couldn't stop throwing picks int he pros.

It's almost as if playing QB in the Sun all season for the biggest team in conference is a boatload easier than playing for a bad team in occasionally cold weather.

This is true.  Jurgens isn't a guard.  Line play wasn't all his doing, but he is a center.  A stud RG would help an aging Lane as well.  Dotson or Hunt would be pricey but excellent and we wouldn't need to use our 1st round pick on OL.

I’d take Penix Jr over Maye.

USC’s offense wasn’t bad. It was their defense that was awful. They averaged 41.8 ppg. Their defense gave up 34.9 ppg. Was a point last year where usc defense gave up 40 points in 5 of 6 games. During that stretch usc was averaging 39.2 ppg and giving up 44.2 ppg. Like Williams and offense had issues against Notre dame, Oregon and ucla down the stretch if that’s what we are talking about in big games like that they weren’t nearly as good and struggled. But usc also put up 43, 32 and 42 against Arizona (was actually good this year), Utah and Washington

Valid assessment. When you add in his immaturity, tendency to hold onto the ball, fumbling issues, his regression this season and his abysmally poor record against good teams...not a good look.

If Chicago loves one of the other QBs, go for it. If not, ask for the farm for number 1 and stack the roster moving forward.

If Kelce Retires, and they trust Steen our OL would be 4/5 27 and under with a future need at RT or OG depending on Steen’s versatility. I think they need to shape up the defense as much as humanly possible. The offense will do they what they need, we just need to get off the field on 3rd down and get better field position.

How does you and Procus' notion of not having replaced Seumalo properly, add up with the Eagles giving up less sacks this year than last with Hurts starting 2 more games against a way tougher schedule without Seumalo?

Nope. Any QB who gets in the fetal position and sobs on mommy's shoulder after a loss is not mentally strong enough for the NFL

The Flyers had to trade Brind'amour after Lindros boinked his wife.

Ran Carthon is claiming he knows what broke the Eagles locker room last year and that it involves a "high profile player" that he said may or may not be on the team next year. He wouldn't say what it was, so it's probably BS, but he seemed to be implying it had to do with someone smashing someone else's girl.

Lindros isn't on the Eagles.
