Fans will believe anything negative from unnamed sources and click bait, especially if it's confirmation bias.

It's especially ridiculous when one remembers that Lurie does give two Fs about optics when it comes to personnel recruitment, from staff to players.

Short of Lurie and Howie spit roasting one of the player's wives and filming it for future wank bank material, it's hard to care about any of this. Especially when Carton's initial noise brings so much ambiguity about who/what/when/why.

You are being generous.   There was no ambiguity, there was just wide strokes of nothing, with overtones of intrigue.

Fanatics’s is a bad company. They literally dropped a bunch of "game issued” eagles jerseys. They labeled them game issued they were actually game worn but they didn’t want to go through the process of photo matching to the specific games. Guys like brown, Carter, Dickerson, mailata, hargrave and some other good players which they’d make a killing if they matched it. They are such a poorly run company

i once bought a Brandon brooks game used jersey from them. They sent me a signed Jonathan Taylor jersey. Told me to send it back and they could send the brooks jersey. Sent it back and they said they lost the brooks jersey. Two days later brooks jersey was back up on fanatics for $200 more. They also screwed me out of a World Series Bryce Harper jersey by just canceling the order 2 months later even though i bought mine as soon as they went up.

His rep, if he had any, should deservedly be sunk at this point. "I've got a major point of contention to declare. Except I can't really declare anything at all but I want my 10 minutes of fame when it would have been better not to say anything at all or back up my claim with something remotely empirical."

That’s pathetic.  Seems like a pretty shady company. (Or poorly run). Maybe a combination of the two, lol.

Hurts is causing problems?  lol, and you tried to act like you were some pathetic Hurts hater as you put your tail between your legs after 2022.  But you're out in full swing again.

Isn’t that what the DGunn Tweet implied?

Do you mean like every other QB? Hurts had a bruised knee which was believed to have happened on this play:

He later got hit on the area on this play:

... and here he dislocated his finger:

Hurts had missed a total of 5 snaps on the season before the starters were pulled from the final game. If that's an "ongoing" health issue, I hope it continues.

Speculation was that he had a lingering knee issue from Devonta’s charity softball game prior to the start of the season where he slid awkwardly into a base. He was really off to begin the season…things kind of came around and then obviously the above happened too.  Either way, he looked slow and timid from game 1 on.

That is an excellent trivia question.  Toast Jenkins?

Are you asking me or saying i am married to her?

Neither.  I'm guessing she is married to the real, one and only Toast Jenkins - Izel himself.

I don’t see it that way, personally. It’s the same thing Joe Santoloquito said in his article awhile ago.

His accessibility to media, fans, teammates had been limited. He became less accessible this season, according to numerous sources. In fairness to Hurts, who is very guarded to begin with, his defensive walls went up even higher with the many open hands coming at him pulling him in various directions last offseason—striking on his popularity when his brand was hot.

Hurts is a creature of routine. His schedule was altered. According to those who know Hurts, he would have rather been wiping sweat from his face throwing passes in Texas heat than doing commercials and "brand building.”

Teammates wanted to include him in functions. Hurts would wave them off. It was emphatically stated, according to numerous sources, that Hurts is NOT "like the other guy (Carson Wentz).”

It just sounds like he had a lot on his plate but not necessarily causing problems, if this is all true.

It still doesn’t really explain what went wrong at the end of the season and why this was even mentioned by DGunn.

He was so fun to watch

No, not at all.  Your bias is showing.

He's had at least one injury every season of his career as a starter, yes or no?

Was this the first time he played a full season, yes or no?

Was this the second consecutive year he's had an injury going into the playoffs, yes or no?

Would that qualify as ongoing, yes or no?

It would qualify as playing football and would certainly fall in the category of not a big concern. Can you name a single injury Hurts had in the NFL that he couldn't play through?

Hurts has now been the starter for 3 full seasons. In that span, he has missed 3 games as a result of injuries. That averages to 1 game per season.  Is that above or below the league average for starting QBs? Off the top of my head, Mahomes and Josh Allen have missed less. Anybody else?

So if you're merely interested in just playing the semantics game about the word "ongoing," then I guess you win. But if the implication was that was something we should be extremely concerned about, then you just don't have the data to back up the argument. Every QB that has started the last 3 seasons has had injuries. Most of them are usually injuries that can be played through. The days of "Iron Man" QBs like Eli Manning are long gone with the introduction of concussion protocols. In the Eagles' case, they had hoped to coast to the 1st rd bye in 2022 with 3 games remaining and chose to rest and protect Hurts. The year before, Jalen clearly said he would have played with the ankle if that had been a must-win game. So the Eagles were in a position to hold him out of 3 games with very minor injuries. I don't know how I'll get through the rest of his career worrying about this "ongoing" issue.

How early 20th century of you to acknowledge women are capable of independent thoughts and actions.

Early 20th century? Mid or later might be more accurate. Merrilee Rush's Angel of the Morning (1968) was the first song I can recall that infers sexual encounters are not always the man's idea and that the woman was a willing participant. That doesn't excuse the player assuming something did actually happen but it takes two to tango.

Ok, but who would be turning down easy money? Look at AP, he’s broke and selling off all his accomplishments.

He’s 25 and bit off a bit more than he can chew. I don’t see that as actively causing problems. And I don’t see that as a reason for the entire team collapsing.

I blame Hulu.

I also think it’s a little bit unfair to single out Hurts with the endorsement stuff. The whole team started smelling themselves a bit. A lot of other players have also done commercials, advertisements or shown up on random TV shows.
