Google has emailed me a couple of times complaining of 'dangerous and/or derogatory' content in the Blog. Specifically page 652 where there's a lot of accusations of or discussion about race. They (Google) are threatening to 'disable ad serving' because of it.

Can we keep that sort of discussion over in CVON and not out in 'polite public' so as not to lose a big chunk of our funding?

Their algorithm is odd. Just looked at that page and nothing really stood out

This isn't from an EMB allowable discussion kind of thing, it's solely from a "Google is a horrible company but we want them to send us a thousand dollars" kind of thing.

From the EMB side, if the rules allow the discussion points to be discussed, great. But from the Google side of things, they're ultra sensitive to things that might be outside of their corporate agenda/point of view. The Boob thread in WU is another example of a thread that Google freaks out over as if it's hard core porn or something.  So I have to try to balance things out.

I have CVON disabled from Google's view (Google can't see it), if I did that with TATE, we'd lose a lot of revenue. That's why I'd like to have those sorts of discussions/arguments/accusations (or whatever you want to call it), done over in CVON where it won't affect our funding.

  That makes so much sense because we'd likely lose funding and get placed on a list if google could see CVON

In order to soothe Google's censors, I hid all of the posts that spoke of race. They all still exist, but they're invisible at the moment.

How many times has this happened? Race has been brought up before and mods had to step in

I love AJ Brown. Honestly, one of my favorite players ever.

Here's a reminder of your original post talking about how the offense wasn't stacked. Then you moved the goalposts 40 times

The irony of you calling someone dumb when you spin yourself in circles because you don't even know what you're discussing :roll:

I'm sorry you can't comprehend comparative analysis.   Saying you are dumb was harsh.  But if you recall your argument was as follows: Eagles have been a top 10 offense for the past 3 seasons therefore the offense is stacked.  As a comparison I pointed out that the defense has been a top 10 defense from 2020-2022, 4 consecutive seasons, therefore by your logic they would have to be stacked as well.

Just another way to make a point.  But like I said a couple times, you disagree and that is fine.  You just had to tell me I sound dumb.

Nick Sirianni made him a team captain for a reason.

It's been an ongoing issue for well over a year now.

Now that VA has addressed it maybe the mods who swore up and down it wasn't happening can share their insight. I'm curious what the new excuse will be.

He’s probably on his was out of the organisation to be honest. He’s becoming too much of a distraction and he’s the new Barnett i.e. it’s always him.

He defends and supports the coaches, the organization, says players need to be accountable for execution and blames the media for their narratives and click bait. He was a journalism major in college and calls out these hacks. They hate that so they keep feeding narratives. He's a top receiver in the league. We've wanted quality receivers for decades and we finally have a great tandem. The local media and the fans are ridiculously nitpicky and critical of the athletes it's absurd.

Look I’m not saying I want him gone. I like that he speaks up and speaks out. I like he is passionate and of course he’s an elite player. But there’s no getting away that it is always him here. He’s always the one in the spot light with the media.

That’s the spin they’ll put on this but that’s not what he said

What are the "always him" incidents that equate to such a distraction that the team will get rid of him?

I'm excited to see Smith and Brown in Moore's offense. I think less than 1k yards from both would be considered a failure by the OC

He refused to speak to the media for weeks which did nothing but feed an agenda. He then tweets stuff out. Now he’s called WIP. Again I’m not saying he’s wrong but he’s at the centre of a lot of this. Whether he’s in the right or not he is at the centre of it.

I hope discussing Cooper DeJean doesn't get us shut down.  Or calling Reed Blankenship ghost.

For this kind if issue, it's happened multiple times, but it's only the past couple of times that Google's threatened to disable our ad serving eligibility.

The way it's happened in the past has been where they give me the option of fixing the 'problem' or ad serving would be 'restricted'. The Boob thread is an example. Restricting ads would mean that ads would not be 'served' to that specific page. Not a big deal, ads on the boob thread didn't amount to more than a few cents to a dollar or two per year anyway. So the biggest issue there was their complaints showing up in my email every day and annoying me. That's easy to ignore or fix.

Now they're threating to disable our eligibility over the current issue that we're discussing. That's more of a big deal than 'restricted' ad serving. So it has to be addressed.

I'm not suggesting the team will get rid of him but he does bring a lot of this onto himself.

It's like arguing with a troll. You can either ignore it or keep feeding it. He keeps feeding it.

This is a symptom of being too online. People spend too much time on social media and it causes people to lose touch on reality. They sit online all day and see athletes tweet stuff or post stuff on IG and get more annoyed and more annoyed with each post. But what they don't realize is, this exists entirely in their own mind. If someone out there doesn't have a social media account they don't even know what the hell anyone is talking about.

AJ Brown's biggest crime is he had a minor emotional outburst on the sideline. He's done not a single thing wrong, but he's been perceived as bad, so every single thing he does will be perceived through a negative viewpoint. Whether it's actually bad or not. He did an interview with Kay Adams, said nothing wrong, and people tried to turn that into a negative.

And as I type that, people start calling in with more negativity. It's not going to end anytime soon.

Do you know if it's a person or a bot looking through keywords?

Playing devils advocate although it was inappropriate for RTK to say, he referenced Shiel's article in the post.

Couldnt it be perceived as an appropriate thing to discuss an article that was legitimately written?

Theres been far worse racial stuff said in here. This was just another example of RTK baiting but not the worst at all. This seems like some dumb bot.

His job is to play football not talk to the media. Who cares. When he did do an interview he said the media twists what he says anyway and makes things up about him. He was right. He shook his head one time on the field and people ran with the "diva WR" narrative.

He shut off his social media to remove distractions and negativity. Fans always say athletes should stay off social media, then complain when they do. Some fan hacked his twitter, even Slay said he spoke to AJ on the phone and said that's not him. Yesterday they finally got the fake twitter page removed. He's not at the "centre" of anything. A month ago the center of everything was Siri needing to be fired. Criticism of Hurts. AJ Brown is not a problem on the team. People blow these things out of proportion.
