Arm strength is his big weakness.

He throws with good anticipation and leads fine, just seems like he's trying to fit it in triple coverage sometimes and yes, with not enough zip. It's fine if it's sometimes, but when half your highlights are throwing to a guy with 2-3 guys in the immediate vicinity, then that's different. Now some of that is the college game is different, I get that.

I saw a rumor, Swift to the commanders, 3 years 18 million. Thoughts?

No. Swift is staying.

Good way to flush away his career

Makes no sense to me.  They have Brian Robinson Jr. (2022 3rd round pick) and Chris Rodriguez Jr. (2023 6th round pick) who looked good at the tail end of the season with the carries he got.

Eh, kind of depends.  If they're locked in on a QB at 2, the best thing to give him would be a more dynamic running attack.  Swift and Robinson back there with McLaurin and Dotson on the outside would be pretty good.  Kingsbury would put Swift into situations with a lot of space.

Avonte Maddox was drafted in 2018 and has never played a full slate of games, McPhearson was drafted 3 years ago and has made one start that entire time.

Here's a list of all the defensive backs drafted by the Eagles since 2012

Brandon Boykin CB Rd 4 2012 no extension

Earl Wolff S Rd 5 2013 no extension

Jordan Poyer S Rd 7 2013 no extension

Jaylen Watkins S Rd 4 2014 no extension

Ed Reynolds S Rd 5 2014 no extension

Eric Rowe CB Rd 2 2015 no extension

JaCorey Shepherd CB Rd 6 2015 no extension

Randall Evans CB Rd 6 2015 no extension

Blake Countess S Rd 6 2016 no extension

Jalen Mills CB Rd 7 2016 1 year extension

Sydney Jones CB Rd 2 2017 no extension

Rasul Douglas CB Rd 3 2017 no extension

Avonte Maddox CB Rd 4 2018 3 year extension signed in 2021 (has played 13 games total first 2 seasons of it)

K'von Wallace S Rd 4 2020  No extension

Zech McPhearson CB Rd 4 2021 1 start at corner in 3 years

Jacoby Stevens S Rd 6 2021, Waived year 2

Sydney Brown S Rd 3 2023

Kelee Ringo CB Rd 4 2023

If that's successful drafting, what would failure look like, we've had better results with late round fliers than rounds 2 to 4. We can argue about talent recognition missing guys like Poyer when they cut him. but still the return on a boatload of picks in terms of regular starters is abysmal.

JaCorey Sheppard was the training camp sweetheart before he tore his ACL or something.  Pretty sorry list.  Only silver lining is that no first round busts. 🙂

The birds not being real thing is satire.  So maybe he was just joking.  Maybe they were both joking.

Yup. It's making fun of ridiculous conspiracy theories. My wife as a Tshirt that says "The birds work for the bourgeoisie"

I guess that makes sense, I just don't see them paying that to take over for Gibson.

I hope not but who knows.  They've been pretty aggressive so far.  I guess the hope is that they spend more time overpaying for defensive free agents now that Young and Sweat are gone.

Tom Brady at 46 with AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert could light up the NFL.

Fantastic nickname. Convinced this is the only 6'10" man who can't dunk.

If that’s real money he’d be a fool to turn it down.

Would be nice to see the kick return, return to NFL football.

No worries, we have different positions to point to with those... think of a position designed to make the CB look bad...  🤔

They will remain as the backup in case of malfunction.

So because it takes the refs too long to determine intentional grounding, they want to increase protection for QBs even further and lessen the foul. How does that make sense?
