Also to add on to that if the Cowboys end up with Cooper I will become violently ill

They're not afraid to draft linebackers or guys that can step on the field in year 1

For the Colts specifically before the drafted him

Then I’d boil it down to the process was fine but the results didn’t outweigh the cost.

We don’t know the full story yet, but I would say the same about Trevor Lawrence. He is not currently what they drafted him to be, and they have to give him the mega contract now and prey he takes a huge leap.

How many top 5 draft pick QBs over the last 15 years, in your opinion, would be worth 2 top 10 picks, and 2 other first round picks that could be top 10 as well?

Keep in mind this isn’t "taking the guy vs having a backup caliber QB instead”, you could use those picks to take another QB but also put a plethora of talent around him that the original QB wouldn’t have while being drafted by a depleted team in the top 5.

If the Lions knew how Stafford’s career would go, being the most prolific player in team history but also only making the playoffs a few times, do they take the picks and gamble? Does LA with Goff?

The only definite keep I can think of is Burrow.

More of a cooper guy, Wilson’s medical history worries me

Plus he’ll be 24 in April.

Well that settles that

I'm looking forward to looking at the rest of the RAS for the DL and LB.  There are some good numbers,  but I haven't gotten to look at them yet.

Dallas Turner - 10 RAS as a LB

Mattison/Gainwell would be so underwhelming

If I knew I was placing Luck on this current Eagles squad I would 100% make that trade

Well, he is only 34…..

Most boring undisputed lead back last year.

On the bright side I could ditch melatonin and watch their "highlights”.

If Edge Coop winds up a Cowboy, there will be broken remotes.

Dude I know they’re gonna draft him & it’s gonna kill me. It’ll bring me back to the same feeling when they drafted Lamb 😭

Ras compare as LB - Dallas Turner v Ben VanSumeren

So far on the first day,  There haven't been really eye popping numbers.

Nolan Smith is above these guys,  Oweh on the Ravens had even crazier numbers.

Dallas Turner had the best numbers of the day,  he's 15 pounds heavier than VanSumeren, and had a 10 RAS.  But,  VanSumeren did better than Turner at every one of the things Turner did.   VanSumeren faster 40,20,10, better vert better broad.

Same thing with Nolan Smith.  Everything both Smith and Turner did,  Smith did better.  But Turner has a 10 Ras as LB, and Smith has a 9.98 Ras as LB because Turner is a half inch taller and 9 pounds heavier.  Smith has a 10 ras at CB and FS and SS,  and Turner is below 10 at CB and FS.  The difference at the 10 20 and 40 is more relevant at CB and FS.  Smith has great speed for a CB, Turners CB speed is very good. At DE, the weight is to Turners advantage.  But Turner is this year's Nolan Smith,  a tiny bit worse than Smith at all the things, but 9 pounds heavier.

Only if he’s a cheaper Boston Scott replacement.  Gainwell has objectively been a better pro than Mattison.

I like this a lot if he's part of a dynamic rotation.

I don't like this at all if he's the lead back.

I'm gonna say let's pass on Trotter, as well. He may turn into a good player, but the expectation from fans is going to be silly. That and he's Nakobe Dean light.

No thanks.

The same fanbase who wanted the Cowboys to beat the Lions so that the Eagles could get the #2 seed instead of the #3 seed.

The Cowboys aren't some special team that the Eagles fans should have hate toward, not when they're rooting for them for some minor, theoretical advantage.  It just sounds now like people who are quick to anger.

I don't want that Cooper guy.  I saw 2 top athletes at ILB positions,  Cooper was one, Payton Wilson was the other.  I prefer Payton Wilson.  distinct from VanSumeren, more of a tall pass coverage guy and VanSumeren is more of a strong run stopper guy.  Some teams have platoons along those lines,  one guy on run downs the other guy on pass downs.

Can Payton Wilson,  6'4 233 4.43 cover Travis Kelce or similar?  It seems like he could.  One of the announcers on NFL network said he though he looked like  a Safety.  Hey, let's call him a LB/S and he could play Safety.   If Dean is good, and VanSumeren is good, Wilson could play Safety.  Cooper DeJean plays CB.  If Dean and/or VanSumeren is not good, Wilson plays LB and DeJean plays Safety, and someone else plays where DeJean was playing at CB.

Who cares.  Who is the better football player.

Thats something he will have to show on the field. Workouts dont show who is a good coverage LB. He does have the tools.

Where have you been?   The only true measure of a player is his RAS score.    Well, that and a QB's 40 time.

They may go OT, they have an immediate need there and it's a pretty good group. But Cooper is definitely a possibility especially with where they pick. He could slide right to them.
