Saw that last night and debated about posting it. I’m guessing whoever that guy is just hangs around people that make the obvious Fangio = one year left = rebuilding team = Eagles connection. He wants one last big deal and it would be stupid to trade for him and give him that with his age.

Also the 6 "z”’s in buzz docks serious points about this being a serious rumor.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Lawlor doesn't seem as high on Cooper as others. Thinks he's a bad tackler and a little raw.

That is correct.

Damn mitchell did 20 reps on bench??

I'm not keen on the idea but I wouldn't totally hate Reddick for Simmons and like a 4th rounder or something like that.

Not in here but some questioned Bensons speed. Dumb....

Some thought Estime wasnt slow.  Wtf?

Guerrendo is unfortunately no longer a sleeper. Beast.

Holani still is a sleeper. Great later round target.

Laube is fine at that speed. His 10 yard split beat Guerendos even though Guerrendo had the best 40 time in the low 4.3s. It's about the quickness and acceleration with Laube.

Lloyd helped himself a lot.  He didn't look to have great speed, but did always run the outside zone well so you knew he had a little hidden juice. He proved it.

Nubin or Bullock are the two guys in the draft I'd hope the Eagles would look at for a Fangio-style safety.

Bullock seems tailored made to play his scheme. And should be there late RD2.

Not keen on paying older DBs big loot. Recency bias I suppose.

I think Bishop is a 3rd round target that fits perfect and had a good workout.

Earlier,  id love any of Nubin, Kinchens, or Hicks. In that order.

Trotter (pushing the edge of 20 years), Maclin, Jackson, McCoy, Evan Mathis, DRC, Kurt Coleman, Beau Allen, Hicks.

And of course, Eagles legend Frank Gore.

Desean and McCoy weren’t really "let walk.”  They were under contract and jettisoned by an unhinged coach.

Evan Mathis went to 2 pro bowls with us and then started 16 games in 2 years with 2 teams before being out of the league.  That’s a regret?

Maclin was 1 good but far from great year, 2 bad years, and out of the league.

Beau Allen never did a thing.

Are you listing players we are glad we let walk?

Would love Benson on day 2.

Solak said in his most recent episode with Sheil he thinks this TE draft class is terrible overall and of the OTs he's scouted so far, he's not a fan of Guyton, but loves everyone else. Thinks he's too upright. He loves Troy Fautanu.

Who cares what he thinks. Lane loves the kid. I'll take a future HOF over a nerd, and they let Kelce pick his replacement.

I know they are similar on paper but I do not see Hall when I watch him, not really close either. I will watch more though.

Laube plays slow to me. Not sure what the intrigue is with him. Looks Mid. Have you checked out Tyrone Tracy Jr yet?

Bailey’s 40 was a disappointment

Yes I have.  I posted about him.  Maybe it was an iwtetg thread.

RAS is not objective data if they will be good football players

it correlates quite well.

the higher ras (or, generally,  the combine and pro day numbers) the more likely you're going to get a great player.  Players with low ras are generally not as good.

You add the objective data to the subjective things.  I like versatile,  so  I'm looking at high ras plus running QB,  or offense and defense.  you can look at PFF for "how well they play", you can look at mock draft database to see their likely cost,  which I would assume contains some of both.  I'll look at youtube and hudl too.  the bio will contain the awards the players got.  all-american, whatnot.  those awards are proxies for "how well they play".   I prefer versatile freakbeast, and I prefer cheapest possible.  High ras, high school running QB w/ WR, yet raw because played many positions.  And UDFA.  There are more players at the combine than draft picks,  not all of these players can get picked.  And there are a lot of players who didn't make the combine.  So, I'll be looking for numbers for those guys from pro days.   The numbers will show up on ras,  and it's a ranked list so it's not hard really to find those players.  #3 rb with a 9.5 ras, was a running QB in high school, is 245 pounds, was all conference honorable mention, udfa.

I put Ben VanSumeren on my udfa wish list last year on day 3.  They signed him,  and he started a game as a rookie udfa, and he had the highest PFF of any LB, and 3 LBs had above average Ras.  I'm confident that my process gets me the results I'm looking for.  The year before I was talking about Covey.

The UGA homer in me is intrigued by Kendall Milton as a late round or priority UDFA at RB.

He will never be confused for a burner.

4.62 40

But he is explosive when he puts his foot into the ground. Can break off chunks of yards with ease. And is a great blocker.

Hartman gets best hair of the combine

Dylan Laube looks like he’s pushing 30

That’s because he’s 29.

Now I know why there’s no buzz on him.

I see Lloyd, Benson and Wright killed it today. Color me intrigued by all.

And Bucky Irving never should have worked out today if those were his training numbers. Good lord.

Looks like Estime is even slower than I thought. I think he cut weight too.

Get the one that can block, catch, and protect the ball. :)
