Hopefully the Eagles can't get any of the good coordinators they want. They aren't going to learn until their incompetence backfires on them in spectacular fashion. I'd rather that than get good coordinators, lose them next year, and prolong this charade for several more years.

Get ready for the Phillies to become the top team in the city if they make another deep run.

As much as I love the Phillies, I don’t see them making a deep playoff run this year. The only thing they really did was bring back nola who was coming off a down year and is gonna be older. I think they really need to get another bullpen arm. And if Jordan Montgomery or Blake Snell you can get at a reasonable price which it’s looking like that might be the case cause they’re still holding out, I would go after one of them. Particularly Jordan Montgomery. Because I think he has more long-term sustainability. And I think he would pitch well at citizens Bank Park.

This is gonna be a full blown shitshow. Lurie was scared to look like a knee jerk owner, plain and simple.

Interesting little stat:

In 2022 the starting OL played 68% of snaps together.

In 2023 the starting OL played 39% of snaps together.

Siri in a historic collapse talking for 10 weeks about how to fix things:

Lurie: so what's the plan to fix things.  Siri:  We just have to keep working toward the standard.

McCarthy is a turd but he's a lot better than Sirianni is. 2023 Eagles: laugh at your enemies, but can only laugh so much because you're laughing at yourself more.

Glad logic prevailed.

Great, this really invokes a ton of confidence. We are looking for yes men, offensive guys that will agree to not run the ball and defensive guys that run soft shell schemes with no linebackers and safeties. Who wants in?!

I’ll do it

Holding out hope that this is a weirdly worded tweet and that Lurie/Howie are still in evaluation mode. Are Sirianni's coordinator requests feasible?

Yeah I'm in denial.

We’ll see.  That team, unlike the Eagles this season, have  a team full of heart and character.   They are fun to watch and typically get red hot when it counts the most.

And in the meantime we have the red hot 76ers who have a stellar team this year.

And let’s not forget the Fly boys, who came out of nowhere this season.

Plenty of really good options in Philly sports nowadays.

Not unless the issue is above him. Read the tea leaves... the players have no problem with him.

You think Howie is directing them to call 30 screens a game and not use the middle of the field?

That was obvious. Clapper got 9 years

This happened every single game. Dude forgot how to climb a pocket, he just bails all the Fing time

Which is baffling to me because he was climbing the pocket last season. I just don't understand

Could be just Nick trying to find who will work with him and then Howie looking to see who will work with Nick. If they don't like who Nick wants to bring in like Doug then he's gone

People always want the quick fix. Sirianni earned 2024. You don't fire a HC with his resumé. Yes, of course, when the team was winning, it was all because of the players and coordinators and not Sirianni. When they're losing, it's Sirianni. He has a lot to get right next year, but he should be back for it.

It's because he's still here and the entire offense still sucked ass, so yea clearly it was the coordinator

exactly.  he just orchestrated the worst collapse in nfl history

I'm talking more so the downfield route concepts with the big play hunting philosophy.

You guys have very short memories. We were in the Super Bowl last year lol. And as bad as the the last two months were this year, they were 10-1 to start the year. It wasn't pretty, but it was still 10-1.

Definitely possible. The last two months were very concerning for sure. I'm willing to let him fail in '24 before firing him.

The players kind of sucked too... let's not leave their high turnover asses out of the equation. Complete F up all around.

Thats not true.  I totally gave Sirianni credit for his first two seasons - especially last season’s Super Bowl run - that’s no easy accomplishment.

Something has been off this entire season and unfortunately when that happens it starts with the head coach.

I think saying a coach earned another year is the entirely wrong way of analyzing how a head coach evaluation should work. The only two questions that should matter are: is the coach good and bright enough to fix the problems and is there a coach out there who's an upgrade?

The utter display of incompetence displayed this season puts question #1 in serious doubt and question number 2 I think is a definitive yes.

This same logic doesn't apply to Bradberry though. Bradberry had a really good 2022 and a disaster of 2023 and you don't see anyone going "He's earned a chance to turn it around in 2024." This line of thinking usually only applies to coaches. I think that's because player failures are way more visually apparent and coaching is far more contextual. But Sirianni this season was just as bad as a coach as Bradberry was as a player.
