Who has that cap and needs a DT?

Sounds crazy, but I remember when we were heavily linked to him in the draft; so much so that we were trying to trade up with the Dolphins and it fell through.

Our pass rush was completely different without Javon, and Howie knows that. Our new D coordinator is Miami’s Vic Fangio, and we may be losing Fletch.

That would be very on brand for Howie to swoop in and grab him

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Slay is not a guy you want young players to learn from. He's a me first a-hole with a social media issue

Brandon Graham will be the last remaining Eagle to play for Andy Reid if Cox retires also

You never know. We may just randomly sign Dennis Kelly again.

The story was allegedly a trade was agreed to in theory but Dolphins reneged last minute after Pittsburgh traded up. They thought they should get more from the Eagles after that.

I would be really surprised if they make a play at him. I just don't see how you can trade up back to back years in the first for DT just to sign a guy to a mega extension the year after.

How the hell does Kelce top that for his HoF speech?

Mummer's costume, with a mummer's band playing, taking his shirt off, chugging beers and giving a shortened version of the "I've been an underdog my entire life" speeches?

I still remember when we gave Jernigan that deal, then we gave Malik Jackson that deal, Fletcher was making mega bucks and we still went and gave Javon a huge deal. "Another DT?! WTF is going on…” was my frozen in time reaction

Howie likes his DT depth more than almost anything, and if Cox leaves or retires our room is a NT with 2 years experience, a 3tech with 1 year of experience, and Milton Williams. Even with their talent, we’ve got a hole there

That’s my guess. No way they want to run it back with Trubisky/Pickett/Rudolph. They’re on outside looking in with these first round QB. Maybe they take Nix if he’s there. Otherwise I think Tomlin will want the vet in Wilson

Vikings if Cousins leaves. Bucs if Baker leaves. If not, probably Falcons.

As a starting QB, the only teams in the mix would be Steelers, Titans, Giants, Falcons, and Raiders.

According to Wilson's criteria a couple of years ago, the Raiders would be the logical destination.

When those guys got those deals though, had the eagles just invested back to back top 15 picks on DTs?

Would they eve be able to sign another high end FA? They desperately need two of CB/S/LB in FA (likely S and LB) and they can use their first on a CB. If they signed Wilkins to that monster deal, who could they afford at S and LB?

What we don't need is another great line wasted because QBs get the ball out in under 2 seconds against a garbage back 7

I hope he leans into the bit and cuts the sleeves off the jacket

That would be both epic, and him doing that on his own terms.

The HoF purists tif he did that

Minnesota definitely if they don’t think they can get their QB in the draft. Also possible NE takes Jaden Daniels but wants to go the Pat Mahomes/Trey Lance approach, or TB loses Baker

My theory where QB go as of today:

Fields - Vegas

Cousins - Atlanta

Wilson - Pittsburgh

NE/CHI/MIN/WAS/DEN all take rookies

Scheme will be some of that, but Howie has done more with less. We do have some room this offseason and Wilkins’ year 1-2 cap hits will be low wherever he goes.

1st round invested picks means they may not be as ready as the seasoned FA’s we’ve brought in in the past. Are we for sure that Carter is up for 700 snaps next season? Is Jordan an every down player? There will always be a rotation on the dline, and we have 500-800 snaps to fill at DT. It’s just a matter of FO perspective of if we’d be better off with that snap count being filled by a 5m$ player or a 20m$ player

All reporters say the Eagles love Jurgens. I think he'll be good. If for whatever reason they lost confidence in him they could take Powers Johnson in the first round if they wanted. But I doubt it. I think they like Jurgens a lot and see no reason they'd have lost confidence. He's seasoned for 2 years, Stout loves him, he'll be fine.

The Eagles will still have the best OL in the NFL next season. Just maybe the best marginally instead of by a lot. And they'll keep investing in it.

Jurgens is the closest to Kelce since Kelce. He was out of place at RG, could have been an excellent LG for a zone blocking team, but his position is center.

Wasn't that because of Ciara?

I can't remember if I was on that bandwagon. I probably was. Thank you for refusing us
