I know I'm just repeating myself right now but there's no way Jurgens played over 300 lbs this year. I'd wager he was under 290. He's just not built for RG. Jason Kelce hand picked Jurgens in the draft. That's enough for me.

Agree

just curious what the plan is for RG. Hopeful that Steen can step up

Probably a veteran free agent.

@LeanMeanGM

Russell Wilson's contract extension hasn't even kicked in yet.

Thats my least fav option unless Stout pounds the table for someone

if Lane’s heir can start at RG, use the high pick

You think the people being drafted into the NFL aren’t other A-type star athletes? Lmao.

The fact that you use a clip from his podcast to gauge his leadership on the field and in the locker room is WILD.

I literally said he gets along with the other A type personalities, which means I believe nfl athletes are A type personalities. Fascinating how many people here can't read, or comprehend what they can read.

Lately been pounding the table for Cooper Beebe in RD2.

If Steen isn't that guy at RG.

He'll be there at Pick 53.

Watch the tape. He's got the look.

Yeah no Fing ish they're SEC schools guy, are you brain dead? They're bottom tier SEC schools, how many times do i have to say that? He didn't draft anyone from a legitimate SEC contender until smitty. Miss State was mid while Cox was there, Tennessee Fing sucked while Barnett was there, and vandy has been garbage forever. I truly can't believe how hard this is for you to comprehend.

lol you're still going. Why are you going so hard on a comment someone else made. You good?

SEC guys drafted by Howie > 0

CBs drafted by Howie in 1st round == 0

History says he won't draft a first round CB. You have said it yourself but you're too dumb and stuck on semantics to realize we're in agreement.

Would anyone really be shocked if the Michigan kid who got hurt, zinter, fell 50 that they would take him?

If we can find an Evan Mathis or Brandon brooks in free agency then I’m 100% for doing it. If not i like the draft method better as they are cheaper for at least 4 years and stoutland likely signed off on them.

Yea it’s just not official until next Wednesday. I remember Eagles trading for Bennett happened early too

They love them some bargain bin open box, scratch and dent sale items. That wouldn't surprise me. Or RB Jonathan Brooks.

Not only that, you are likely never going to get Jason Kelce level play from Jurgens at center. Kelce is a unicorn. But even if jurgens is just good and zinter pans out the way that people thought before his injury then your line could actually be better overall. Tough to say when you lose a Jason Kelce but zinter and Dickerson at guard might be better than any guard combo we’ve had (assuming zinter pans out). That includes brooks and seumalo; i was higher on seumalo then most.

That would be ideal. Cool when they pick up guys early to refine and still get some valuable experience as future replacements.

Stoutland has done miracles. Nice when he has some talent to work with. They definitely need to keep that OL factory going with him. If Zinter is the guy he clearly saw something. Always thought he had an advantage leading those drills at the combine and such.

Speaking of Bennett, this is the only memory I have of him as an Eagle. 😂

Yeah Dickerson what a bad pick…

Let’s say ESPN offers 10m for New Heights to be on their network and him to be a part time contributor to NFL tonight, First Take, and Mcafee.

You would convince him to turn that down and go play NFL football for 1m$ when he retired partly due to physical issues?

Why would he ever do that?

Less physical exertion.   Doesn't hurt as much to do less than full time Center.  Fullback would be much easier and much more fun.   TDs on the resume get him in the HoF quicker.

When he does go into media or coaching,  it would be from an even higher place,  with the extra bonus TDs at the end of the career.   And he'll be there if needed for important games like the playoffs.

It's splitting the difference between full playing center all the time,  and not playing football at all.  It's a new thing, or an uncommon thing,  which allows HoF types at the end of their career to stay in it,  can be there if the replacement falters.  Allows more talent under the cap,  since they'd call Kelce's bonus's not likely to be obtained, or whatever that terminology is.

Kelce has lots of money as it is, and can wait until he starts getting money from other places.

Lots of good reasons for Kelce to be FB + backup C.

With the investment they've already made with Davis and Carter they should be bringing in mid tier FA as rotations, not relegating them to the rotational role IMO. We'll never see what they can handle if we just bring in Wilkins and they rotate, it'll be just like having Cox here.

They should start Carter and Davis, have Milton, a mid tier FA rotate, and they can draft a guy in the later rounds to rotate. Plus they have the 30 other bottom of the roster DTs they love to hoard.

Personally, I would not be thrilled with the allocation of resources if they did bring Wilkins in unless there were some miracle moves made in the back 7.

they're fine with exactly what they have.   Players like Ojomo get more than 5% of the snaps.  There are a lot of players who can get 10-15% more snaps and it's still look like the Eagles have quite a few DTs.

DT is not a spot that needs a new player.

DE is losing Graham, if I'm not mistaken.   If so,  the Eagles need a DE.  Perhaps a DE who is big and would be seen perhaps as a DT smaller than Milton and bigger than Graham.

I have, at this point in the process,

Round 5, Pick 170*  DE with positional versatilty - large sized. often there are DEs who played TE in high school.  So looking for a big blocking TE who might be 260 or 270, and also a DE.  A Graham sized DE. I got a list of them but I haven't checked.  At the 5th round, it'll be difficult to find top ras DEs.

Brennan Jackson - 6'5 264 4.69  DE ras 8.47 TE ras 8.76
hs All-Southwestern League first-team defensive line and second-team all-league at tight end...made 102 tackles and posted 13.0 tackles-for-loss, including two sacks, along with two forced fumbles…caught 18 passes for 340 yards and one touchdown.
