Burns is tagged

He's not a Freakbeast.  Kelce is going to unretire to play FB in the playoffs next season.

Just when I've seen the most ridiculous thing ever put forward in the blog... there's also one person these days that finds a way to trump all other ridiculousness.   It is a real skill that Reglar has.  I couldn't believe the initial suggestion... and I was more surprised by the support he gave to it.

What better way for a HoF player to end their career than as a gadget player?

He can't be serious... and he's not a strict troll.   He's just a guy with the most peculiar sense of humor and he's playing us all.

I think he's talking a tag and trade. Berman even mentioned today on their podcast that he would give up 22 to trade for Burns. He's really in on him

Would not trade 22 for the luxury of paying Burns 25-27m per season. Trading Reddick to do that would be a horrible use of resources. You'd create a need by trading Reddick, to which you'd be burning your first rounder to fill, in addition to adding a high priced player.

I'd rather just sign Chase Young to a one year prove it deal and draft an edge rusher tbh if Reddick is traded.

And Smith

The definition of funny money

The free agent WR class is horrible. Ridley and Hollywood Brown are the best two. I assume the Panthers will sign one of those two. They need a WR to help Bryce Young so bad.

Negotiate with whom?

No sports book is going to agree to give NFL players "equity” in sports betting, let alone all "gambling.”

I mean, we drafted Smith to be Reddick’s backup. The only way Smith improves is to play some snaps.

No way the NFL would allow sports betting to pay the players...that's just dumb

That's assuming he can stay healthy

I assume he means in collective bargaining with the NFL but I think players receive 48% of total revenue, as per the current CBA.  It's just a question whether the league fully discloses its revenue from all sources.

Does this idiot think the NFL owns all the sportsbooks?

Their gambling related revenue comes from advertisers. So it’s already included. It’s not like sports books are secretly paying the NFL…

Signing Smith after Jefferson would be about the dumbest thing you could possibly do. Sign Smith first PLEASE if he'll do it. If he won't, nothing you can do. But if he will, god, please.

True, but you can say that of any player.

If I understand correctly, Patrick Queen is a FA. If so, I'd be all over that. One of the best coverage LBs in the league and tough against the run as well.

He was labeled a bust until Roquan came there. I think there's better options.

I’ve never been one to use the ignore feature, but there are certain posters whom I usually scroll past when I see their name. He’s one for sure.

Projected to get 12-15m per season. We'll see if that proves accurate, but TJ Edwards is objectively a better LB and the Eagles let him go for 6.5m per. It would be absurd to go out and sign an inferior player for more than double the price. Zero interest in Queen. He's decent, but nothing special, plays in a great defense next to maybe the best off ball LB in the NFL.
