You can see the total number of posts for the board at the bottom of the 'Twitter' link (I suppose that link should be re-named since Twitter isn't Twitter anymore...):

Now is the 1.6m for the whole board or just TATE?

The whole board

Jerome Baker is a good fit. Can obviously play for Fangio. He got hurt, but did have games with a 100% snap share. As he was cut, wouldn't count against comp pick formula.

Did I miss something?  Hurts has been silent re Kelce's retirement.  The two played close to each other and their interaction started every snaps.  Hurts should know if Kelce's shotgun snap was fast and hard.

Oh ok. I was only talking in terms of TATE lol

Do you know when that happened or is it more difficult when it's a subforum?

He doesn't use social media so there really isn't a means for him to get his word out there. It's not like he's going to call for a press conference of his own to say goodbye to Kelce.

I want to make fun of @Random Reglarfor fixating on making our #2 QB double as our power RB, but the Eagles have truly done that with our #1 QB.  So who am I to disagree?

I'm not sure what QB was going to be the #2  I'm assuming Mariota, which might not be the case, I don't think Mariota should be the power back.

I would like a power back with good measures and 230+ pounds.  Often those RBs are former college QBs.

Someone in that category would be Johnny "Football" Langan,  Rutgers QB/TE/"offense"
245 pounds, 6'2, no pro day yet.   He was a QB,  could be a QB again, but he would be brought onto the roster as a RB, but more likely would be a practice squad guy.

I'm in favor of using many methods to find a power RB.

Jaheim Bell 6'1 241 4.62.  Mostly a TE in college but a RB in HS,  and was a power back for South Carolina for a short time and he was good.  South Carolina beating Tennessee had a big TD catch, 2 total and 17 carries, 80+ yards rushing.  A lot of good, run out the clock power running.

Also on South Carolina at the same time as Bell and Xavier Legette was

Dakereon Joyner.   229 pounds 6'0. UDFA  Was a big running back last year.  High School was a running QB.  4 star.  Went to SC to play QB,  was on scout team for a year as QB.  then he became wildcat QB and WR.  Then, the last year,  big power back.  He isn't expected to be drafted,  looking at the internet it looks like the Eagles could get him as a udfa.  South Carolina took Rattler out and put Joyner in to run near the goal line, he has a few TDs. There is production at QB, throwing well after the first couple years,  good WR stats,  and good RB stats his last year.   If 6'0 229 can have a 4.5something, that seems like a big back.  Have to find them somewhere,  there really weren't good ones,  except for a couple, at the combine as RBs.   There were good ones who were smaller,  which is typical.

I'm looking for big running backs,  so that the Eagles can take one and the Eagles then won't have a gap there.  Could put extras on the practice squad.

It's hard to say, I'll see if there's a way to tell but we could have hit it a long time ago, but deleted posts make it look like we didn't.

I'm also not sure if the archived posts are included in the overall numbers because once they're archived, they're moved out of the database and into a different one. So I'll have to see of those posts are part of the running tally. I suspect they are, but I'm not positive on that at the moment. If they aren't, the TATE archive is over 800k, so that would mean that TATE is actually closing in on 2 million... that's why I suspect that the archive is included in the tally.

Smart man... though I did just recently find my last Army Brigade's Facebook group and went down the rabbit hole (and actually found one of my old barracks roommates). So it does have its limited usefulness.

I doubt we get any comp picks this year anyway. Swift is about the only one that would get a contract that might qualify.

Eagles free agents who can legitimately get money

  • Swift
  • Mariota
  • Opeta
  • Driscoll

I agree that the best we're going to get is a 5th (if teams go HAM on backup QBs) that it shouldn't be a major consideration.

Projected to get 12-15m per season. We'll see if that proves accurate, but TJ Edwards is objectively a better LB and the Eagles let him go for 6.5m per. It would be absurd to go out and sign an inferior player for more than double the price. Zero interest in Queen. He's decent, but nothing special, plays in a great defense next to maybe the best off ball LB in the NFL.

Eagles really missed on not bringing back Edwards and Epps on what are going to look like insanely cheap deals. Epps isn't a world beater by any means but he's a solid safety and Edwards, while he has his limitations is a tackling machine and above average LB.

These are picks for 2025 I can fin  available

Round  How acquired
1  Eagles' own pick
2  Eagles' own pick
3  Eagles' own pick
5  Eagles' own pick
7  Eagles' own pick
7  From Falcons
7  From Saints
7  From Broncos

Lots of 7 and a lack of mid rounds. Don't think Swift will get much in way of a comp pick

Yes

Howie needs to do whatever he can to turn that 5th and those 7ths in to 4th round picks. In a draft rumored to be 4 rounds deep, hoarding late round picks does this team no good.

It doesn't.  It's perhaps where trading Reddick for a pick this year and next could be better than a higher one this year.  Or even moving a 2nd this year for something next year

I don't gamble, I've never opened any of these new betting apps, don't follow lines or any of that stuff. For me at least, seeing gambling ads every commercial break, digitally advertised on the ice and promoted everywhere is just overkill. I don't like that it's a main topic of conversation during every pre game show. Maybe if I took part in it, I wouldn't care but I have no interest in getting involved.

I understand your argument but I'm not sure I can buy the "objectively better" line. Queen is definitely faster and we need more speed on the field.

Ordered a white Kelce jersey. Now it's a white Kelce and green and kelly green McNabb (for the dog and then the player). All retired players FTW.

How often do you break out this bad boy?

In an earlier post I commented that Dickerson was not fast enough to block the outside one. That was stupid of me, as well as being wrong. What he can't do is a pin and pull where he has to get around the opposite end. He's fine on a power, which is an inside pin and pull and the counter-trey but he doesn't have the long speed to get out to the edge and then up field. Not that it matters much. The Eagles have long used a quick guard/strong guard running attack where one guy does most of the pulling. It matters even less if you have a center who can run like Kelce and, hopefully, like Jurgens. From that um central position he can pull either way and you can go with two big guards.

Yea, my bad. Not sure what I was thinking.

It took me 3 goes around to convince me I had the right picks as they were so similar to this years.  4th rounder sat elsewhere, etc
