  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Would not trade 22 for the luxury of paying Burns 25-27m per season. Trading Reddick to do that would be a horrible use of resources. You'd create a need by trading Reddick, to which you'd be burning your first rounder to fill, in addition to adding a high priced player.

I'd rather just sign Chase Young to a one year prove it deal and draft an edge rusher tbh if Reddick is traded.

Yup. There’s a handful of pass rushers we can have for cheaper and more depth if we move from Reddick.

Ogbah, Davenport, Gregory, Chase Young. ZDarius Smith, Fowler, Clowney, Dupree, Epenesa, Uche.

It made sense for AJ because he’s Uber elite. Not sure Burns would change this team *that* much to be worth a pick and max extension.

Probably something he's wanted to do for a long time... but wasn't allowed to during his NFL career for contractual reasons.

It was some bet he made with Bills mafia on his podcast.

But likely just trying to find an excuse to do it.

I didn’t realize Quandre Diggs was 31. Gonna have to pass.

And then again with Quez Watkins and John Hightower. What an absolute disaster of a 2020 WR draft that was for the Eagles.

They came away with Jalen Reagor, John Hightower and Quez Watkins, passing on JJ, Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk, Laviska Shenault, Michael Pittman Jr., Gabriel Davis, Darnell Mooney, KJ Osoborne, Donovan Peoples-Jones and others.

And JJAW over DK Metcalf and Terry McLaurin. 6 picks after AJ Brown was selected.

I think it’s time we cut the cord on drafting this PAC 12/Big 12 WRs high. JJAW had zero potential. Reagor was just like most ordinary Big 12 WR over the last decade. Compact and fast and doesn’t do much in the league.

Yes

Need to sign Curl or McKinney. I guess Simmons is a possibility as well but then you have to trade for him and he's older. But at the same time he is the best out of the three.

I don’t see no Rooney rule for old heads so I’ll allow it

I think Guyton was an interesting name at one time. But I think his workout takes him out of the reach for an incredible athlete in the 1st round conversation. Because hes not an incredible athlete.

Now Mims is the guy. If enough tackles go ahead of him the eagles wont be able to pass.

And I just learned Mims practiced 60/40 on both sides this year. 60% of snaps at RT, and 40% at LT. So hes gotten plenty of reps on both sides. There will be no question if he can play one side or the other.

Hes huge. Hes a ridiculous athlete. He has R/L versatility. Thats the guy theyll not be able to pass on.

I fully expect the pick to be Mims if he’s there as well. Maybe Fautanu or Fuaga also

Settle down, afan

I think this CB free agent class is quite weak. Tbh, if they can't/don't land a Johnson or a Sneed or Lattimore or whatever, I think I'd rather give Ringo a crack at CB2 than any of the vets on the market. Or if they draft one in the first round of course.

Signing a Kendall Fuller or an Awuzie or an aging Gilmore does absolutely nothing for me at all.

Jerome Baker & Kamren Curl being both signed here would make me feel a lot better headed into the draft

We're never going to make progress if you keep shutting down dialogue.   :nonono:

This is why I'm very nervous about this off-season. The defense deteriorated because of Howie yet we are fully entrusting him to fix the defense. His history with the defense is just not that good. I guess Fangio will have some limited say which could help but I do have an uneasy feeling this off season.

Remember last year around the time Jaylon Johnson's name hit the rumor mill, Kenny Moore was another.

Kenny Moore is still set to be a free agent and is 28.

Hes smaller, but a proven excellent starter. We may still have a crack at a very good CB even of Johnson is off the market.

I love him so damn much

I’m excited. Howie has done pretty well over the years when adding big money FAs from other teams, or even mid-level. He mostly stinks when he thinks he can get by dumpster diving. He knows he has to invest in LB and safety in FA IMO.

My concern heading into FA is Reddick and how we potentially replace him.

Agreed on this all, especially the last sentence. Kelce was the first big domino and question to get figured out, second is definitely Reddick.

Marcus hayes folks…

Guy can’t even math right. He played for 8 years with Wentz/Hurts

Hayes is trash. Always has been

Has the pro football HOF ever directly endorsed someone as a first ballot HOF before?  They obviously want him so everyone tunes in for the speech 😆

Need draft help at cb. No way around it.

I would have liked Kelce as a backup Center and starting FB.  Cheap contract,  which becomes expensive if Kelce starts.  Vet minimum + $1M a game as a starting Center, or any game where he plays Center.  Kelce gets TDs as FB.     In the future,  the same type of thing for Lane.  Backup OT and Blocking TE who gets TDs.

The players that people like are the OL more than whoever the RB is this year.  I'd rather Kelce and Lane scoring TDs than some generic RB or WR or TE.   Getting Kelce and Lane TDs would get them into the hall faster and the people would want Kelce and Lane in the hall faster.

Puff, puff, pass. Not puff, puff, puff, puff, puff.
