Sirianni had a serious case of the runs

My top pick was Matt Eburflus but the Bears f'd that plan.

I honestly hope they try Glenn Schumann again. Dude got the most of half of this defence. We have just seen the jump from college work well for the Ravens.

I also like Wink

Rivera is old and experienced but I'm not sure his D is what we need. He is pretty passive as well - mostly rushes four with seven in coverage, and a lot of zones. Maybe he executes it better that Desai/Patricia but its not an aggressive scheme ala Jim Johnson.

So went and watched the highlights of the first playoff game last year for shiz and grins. Some obvious difference

- Look how fast and nimble Hurts looks. I think his knee is in a lot worse shape then he has let on

- AJ and his willingness to block downfield

- Some motion and misdirection

- Throws in the middle of the field

- Solid running game with proper run blocking assignments

This team a year later is a shadow of itself. If we had played against this same giants team last week we should have been crushed by atleast 20. Something is def wrong and it's more than just x's and o's. Look how energetic the team looked and compared to Monday night.

Might not love morey’s moves but he is really one of the greater trolls

I'm guessing its BS.

I'm assuming theyve all spoken (it's been two days), Lurie was pissed at both Howie and Sirianni and told them to work together to come up with a plan, gave them +/- a day to make it happen.  Just my guess based on the report that both of them are making calls.

Sirianni is reaching out to 2024 coordinator candidates but may also be fired? Sounds like he may be getting the Dougy P treatment.

Keep 'em on a string, that's the best way to do it.

But OC is a much better job

Definitely NFL OC is a better job than Texas St HC imo, at the same time it really boils down to your coaching goals and what is important to the coach. Some guys want to coach young impressionable athletes and help them develop into good young men, I know a few of these types and they primarily coach in communities that have large populations of at risk youth. Others want to coach professionals or highly driven college athletes because they can focus on scheme/strategic approach vs motivation or player management.

GJ Kinne's story is interesting for those who aren't aware of it. His dad was his HS coach in Canton TX, about 30 miles from me, and where my dad lives now. A disgruntled parent came into the field house/coaches office in the spring of GJ's soph. year and shot his dad with .45 pistol at point blank range. Kinne was told his dad died, he actually survived after being given only a 10% chance to live.

No, he was just screening his calls and didn't answer when Lurie called him in.

They were bad, but it starts with coaching. At no point did this coaching staff put these players in the best position to succeed. Zero creativity, zero playcalling flow, zero situational awareness. On offense at least. Defense it was a lack of talent which we've been saying all season.

An Eagles player just fumbled while you typed this.

The most you'll get at OC is Frank Reich if Brian Johnson isn't kept.  I don't think Nick is going to bring someone in to run an entirely different offense than the one Nick wants to run.

DC is the only area where I think it could be anyone from any sort of tree or scheme background.  That's the most intriguing piece of this puzzle left on the coaching side.

Eagles fans will be back when the white version of the Kelly green jerseys come out.

That's why the Eagles will instead go with the Seahawks lime green instead.  The 12th man never boos.

I will say it again - the lack of any serious threat of Hurts taking off running was one of the most major contributors to the how poor the offence looked this year. While Hurts has improved as a passer, he just isnt the same player and our offence just isnt the same without that threat.

There are of course other reasons - not excusing the coaching as they needed to scheme up other alternative ways to put pressure on the D and create conflicts when the impact of the injury became clear and they never really cracked that.

Here’s the thing no one tells you about hookers: A hooker’s schedule kind of dictates how your day goes. If you’ve got a special girl, and she says she’s only available for the next half hour, you damn sure don’t keep her waiting.

He's put together the best Sixers team this season since that 2018-19 Sixers team.  Seems to have made a great first HC hire as a GM here too.

PFF -

all the Cornerbacks were below average except Slay

3 Safeties were above average - Byard, Reed, McCollum

3 LBs were above average - Morrow, Cunningham,  VanSumeren

I've seen Morrow and Cunningham play badly quite recently,  but PFF has both above average, slightly.   Could be that they weren't all that bad when the Eagles were 10-1 and got worse when the Eagles were losing?

Overall,  I would have to take a look at that Cornerbacks coach if 9 out of 10 CBs were below average.  I don't know who it is,  but look there.

You actually follow PFF, lol

I mean, he hurt his knee in week 6 (?) and they did absolutely nothing about it. The offense stayed virtually the same for the entire season. Same reason we insisted on running failed WR screens repeatedly. Bad coaching.

I don't see a single difference from what we saw for 18 games
