He's probably edging out Arnold for my #1 CB now. I want one of these two so bad in round 1.

If the price is right, I'm starting to like bringing in Simmons. Played for Fangio, still has gas left in the tank, and can be a leader to help Reed and Brown develop. If it's 2-3 years, $8-$10mm AAV, it makes sense to me. Call it 3 years, $30mm on the headline with the reality being 2 years, $17mm ($13mm non-guaranteed salary in year 3 to make it look better for the player).

How do you know there is gas left? It wasn't a statistically impressive season for him.

What do you think about Arnold with a 4.50 40 as the top or CB2 in this class?

I feel McKinstry may still be the better player. He's the reason Arnold made a name for himself.  Teams thought McKinstry was too good to throw at.

Arnold was good,  but teams didn't dare test Kool-Aid.

I think Arnold as CB1 and McKinstry as a later 1 is an over thinking mistake.

To me,  they should be flipped on draft boards.

And that in itself tells a story to come with Cox and AN Other.  Just about who they decide AN Other to be

That tells me Bradberry is next.

Maybe. Still not sure it's a foregone conclusion like most think that he gets cut. There's no real benefit for Howie to do it and it's not like he's a malcontent, locker room problem. I really think they end up talking themselves into thinking he can return to AP form like he was in 2022 and he can thrive in a Fangio zone scheme.

They signed him clearly with the expectations for at least 2 years based on the structure. I'm not sure him being bad with the general disaster of the rest of the defense and coordinators cause them to change plans.

Maybe he is a trade candidate.  Maybe some other team thinks he can play on their Fangio style defense.

They won't wait for the Eagles to just cut him because there's not a ton of cap incentive to indicate it's a foregone conclusion.

They would have to trade him before signing one though,  or drafting one.  Because then it becomes obvious.

So, this weekend.

If no trade, I still think they cut him because he was just that bad.

Also if the plan was to cut Bradberry I think there would be more rumor or reporting on it now that were less than a week from the real free agency and new league year starting, similar to what happened with Russel Wilson. Unless Howie thinks he's can trade Bradberry I'd think they would let him and his agent prepare for FA and let it be known he'll eventually be available.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but who else makes sense to axe and use the designation on?

Anyone got Fangio’s number so I can ask if Bradberry fits his scheme?

They don't have to use the designation, it's just there if they want to.

People keep saying Graham is lined up for the other one. I'd think signing him to an extension would eliminate that, but not sure. It might be a situation like Cox was a year or two ago where they had to post June 1st him but signed him a day later.

Maybe if they don’t cut Bradberry, they will  just Post June Kelce.

No.  But Howie has to because, Howie.

Agree, for a sport so open about money, they never show the cash flow position of their own teams.  It should have an accompanying tweet saying why cash is king and how that liquidity helps the Bills.

Caplan will just parrot whatever smarter people say in his vicinity.
