Maybe. Still not sure it's a foregone conclusion like most think that he gets cut. There's no real benefit for Howie to do it and it's not like he's a malcontent, locker room problem. I really think they end up talking themselves into thinking he can return to AP form like he was in 2022 and he can thrive in a Fangio zone scheme.

They signed him clearly with the expectations for at least 2 years based on the structure. I'm not sure him being bad with the general disaster of the rest of the defense and coordinators cause them to change plans.

Yeah Berman made a pretty good argument for him (bradberry) staying here for through at least training camps and camp as you have to pay him regardless and maybe his trend continues of up after down. I tend to agree with berman’s take.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

If they keep him, I don't see how he'll start next season. They have way more to lose by keeping him than they have to lose by cutting him. If they keep him and start him and he sucks again they'll be kicking themselves for not trusting what they saw on the field and just baselessly hoping because of some arbitrary "one year on, one year off" thing with Bradberry that a +30 corner would get better after a decline in speed and athleticism. He just couldn't stay with anyone in 2023. And then if they bench him you have a disgruntled player not playing and not starting and having to answer questions about it all year.

If they cut him and he rebounds, oh well, he probably won't be much better than his replacement. And at least you give him a chance to find a spot elsewhere.

Regardless, I don't see any way he starts next season. There's just no way they'd hamstring Fangio like that. If he stays I think he's an ultra expensive backup.

How do you know there is gas left? It wasn't a statistically impressive season for him.

Guy was 2nd team all pro. That’s not a popularity contest like the pro bowl.

Hmmmm...

I'll have to take that in to consideration.

If like to hear from fans that watched him too though. Tennessee fans had the scoop on Byard.

Damn he was on my short list for RG. Hunt or Zeitler are left.

Surprised the whiners aren't higher. Same for Saints

I think Packers are high because they may have actually found another one making it 3 in a row while teams are struggling just to find 1 lol

My immediate thought also when I saw this tweet lol

Extra 2nd this year...do you do it?

No. Only thing I’d trade for Sneed is Reddick and I’m not even sure that makes sense

Not by me. Dallas, Washington SF, anything coached by Sean Payton, and NE.

Nope ... that don't make no sense. I'd MUCH rather part with a 2nd than Reddick and I wouldn't give a 2nd for Sneed either. Eff them chiefs. They're too low on that list

I hope Steen and Jurgens are there with him at some point.

Nope, talented CB class. Only CB that’s worth a trade + contract is Patrick Surtain

This is tricky, he's worth it but to give up that second plus the big deal, I don't know. If we could cut or trade Bradberry with no repercussions on the cap then that would move the needle more towards doing it. But Slay and Bradberry get paid so much and they seem to be locked in due to bad contracts so I'm not seeing Howie doing it.

I’d trade our 3rd rounder for him. It’s basically at the end of the 3rd. But i don’t see that getting it done. And it likely means Reddick is also gone cause i don’t see them paying sneed and Reddick

Assuming you can make it work with Reddick. It’s really dependent where everything stands which we don’t know. If Howie has no interest in extending or paying Reddick more and Reddick is insisting on a new deal, than might as well flip both players.

What does everyone think Lattimore would cost in a trade in terms of picks. I have to imagine less than Sneed. 3rd or 4th + future 4th or something? Or do you think NO could get a 2nd rounder?

I wonder if there’s a path to a Reddick/Sneed swap + some picks on both sides. Not sure if that works out/is doable for any parties involved but just a thought
