He's one of the best guards in the league. Frank Gore tore both his ACLs in college and barely missed any games through 16 seasons.

Yes, we have no one to play slot corner.   We also have no one to play outside CB opposite Slay (yes, I include Ringo and Bradberry in that no one).  We also have no one to play opposite Blankenship, and I'd still rather Blankenship be #3S, not one of the two starters.   And we currently have no LBs worth discussing.   Oh, and, we also have no slot CB.   The defense is SWISS CHEESE.

There are a lot of variables for sure. I also have PTSD from all the failed CBs we've had in the past and am worried that Sneed would not live up to the massive contract that he would immediately get. 

I have decided I like Jermaine Burton more than AD Mitchell.

However, combine week I saw someone mention something about character.

I was just watching this brand new Burton highlight video and I have seen 2 instances in this video alone that are worrisome.

Against Tennessee, he took a big hit from 2 guys in the end zone. While on the ground, he kicks the Tennessee DB.

Later in the vid against Texas A&M he looks like he swings at the DB. 

On the other hand, I love the intensity he plays with. But he has to stay under control and I wonder if that is something that can be reined in. 

 

I thought Tranquil could've been a name Eagles pursued. They did last year.

 

Right after I say I like Burton more than AD Mitchell, Ill give a great Mitchell stat.

1.1% drop rate this year. Best of any of the top 10 pass catchers in this draft.

(I dont know who are considered the top 10 pass catchers. This was a statement by Field Yates on ESPN)

 

Thats a great stat for a guy who I see as an occasional body catcher.

The Flyers, with only 2 starters on defense, just beat the best team in the NHL on the road. What a tough team.

Oh for sure. I’d be 100% surprised if Jason and Travis aren’t a part of it. I’d have said Embiid but i think the Sixers are away that weekend
