  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Yea, O-linemen just isn’t a position that can retire and come back on a drop of a hat unless he was staying in game shape which wouldn’t make sense if he retired. He can start eating a normal diet and lose a ton of weight easily to help his body.

Yup.   The body transformation of some OL after they retire is truly staggering.   Joe Thomas is hardly recognizable now.

Yep. And he doesn’t have any reason to come back. He’s finishing while playing his best. He has a bunch of other things off the field he can do now and be super good and successful at. Like we make fun of Jason peters, but I can least understand from the perspective when he’s done with football he probably doesn’t have the post NFL career that Jason Kelce does. so if somebody’s willing to keep paying him to keep paying then he’s gonna keep doing it to cash until He can’t anymore. Not that peters won’t have some success outside of football when he’s done but it’s not like what kelce has set up for himself after football

Peters could look to go into coaching.   Kelce has so many potential future career paths to go in.   And frankly, he might want to just stick to New Heights and be his own boss and not have to worry about what corporate America wants him to be.   He can just be himself, how ever he wishes to be... and just be himself, unvarnished.

Generally speaking the athletic freaks make bad coaches as they could rely on their athletic gifts that normal players don't have.

Yes.  This is why I never went into coaching.

I wonder if Kelce would come back mid season if there were to be an injury to jurgens and eagles are top of the standings..

Most NFL linemen lose weight after retiring.  Frankly Kelce looked a tad smaller at his retirement speech.  Kylie will have him down 50 pounds by mid season.

Now one thing I found interesting was his comment about being around the facility.  I do wonder if he has discussed a post retirement role, sort of like Barwin, who he roasted a bit in his speech.

Crazy, the Eagles signing Russell Wilson broke the EMB board

we are back!

"The fact that Saquon would even contemplate going to play for that team in Philadelphia is insulting to his Giant history and legacy," Barber said. "Do not go to the Philadelphia Eagles, because if you do that appreciation and respect and reverence that we all have for you, Saquon, will be lost. It'll be gone. We want to still respect and love him."

🤣🤣🤣

petersonnzzzzz (ignore that he's almost 34 years old)

I think he's going to end up with some ambassador type role, probably working a lot with Eagles Autism functions with his wife. Barwins got a full time FO gig. I'd be surprised if he immediately takes on a full time role.

Sorry, I want them to sign Barkley now just because of this

The field was only that wet because all the girls just got done watching Jason Kelce pose shirtless before the match.

I watched the highlights of that - they never should have played.  I don't know how turf fields are supposed to drain, but whoever designed that one should be fired

As they should.  Barkley has been key to all of their recent success.

Don’t see the eagles getting him. I’m sure they had interest in him last year at the right price which he was likely still getting more than they’d have been willing to pay him

I'm starting to warm to the idea of signing Saquon.  He is quite an accomplished run blocker and would be an upgrade there.   He's also very good in the passing game, he'd probably be an upgrade there, although we did not use DeAndre as a receiver pretty much at all.

As far as money, this is a crowded RB market and they have not been getting all that much to begin with.  Miles got 4/$25 mil from the Panthers, but Miles was younger. I'd say 3/$18mil gets this done.

LOL, why?  They'll still have future HoFer Danny Dimes to bail them out.

🤣🤣🤣

If anyone knows anything about losing appreciation, respect, and reverence, it's a guy who cheated on his 8-month pregnant wife with an NBC intern.

Very interesting being that the biggest knock on McCarthy is probably his arm strength.

He does seem to rely more on his lower body to make the throw.
